Hello back

Dad wasn't at funeral so that bit was fine, but I've never been to a cremation before, not too keen, was very strange

On a lighter note I finished The Time Travellers Wife very good and thats all I will say don't ant to spoil it for anyone

I thought I seen one of the slatterns add CC to their FB, maybe Alice, I seen her e-mail address on a thread a while back

PlumBumMum · 29/08/2009 16:41

JKS I mean't to say maybe you should keep some out that are a bit of a challenge to him,

JustKeepSwimming · 29/08/2009 18:09

Plum - glad the funeral was ok (ish).
don't worry we still have loads out! plus anything ds1 (3) likes is still out so ds2 can always play with those things if he suddenly gets the idea. just put some stuff in boxes in the spare room so can get to it easily if he seems interested.

Read about Trinityrhino's dh, soo awful, can't imagine how you begin to cope with something like that!

PlumBumMum · 30/08/2009 09:52

JKS what about a magna doodle board I know my 3 all loved them from that age up, and no mess, make sure you pack some healthy snacks for you, how long are you going to be there for

PlumBumMum · 30/08/2009 09:54

think I might bring dcs to cinema this morning last treat before back to school
dh has to work today so might as well bring them to kids club this morning,
Aliens in the Attic!

JustKeepSwimming · 30/08/2009 11:29

Plum - enjoy the cinema!

we have something like that we could take but tbh he's not really up to drawing/scribbling. he takes very little interest in most toys

we think we will be there all day Tues, then all day Wed overnight and most of Thurs.
It could be extended but hopefully won't be as DS2 has so many 'episodes' during a normal day they should get lots of info in 24hrs.

Not really got on with anything yet today!

ithinkmydaughterispeppapig · 30/08/2009 13:37

Hi everyone

I have just read about TRs DH, how shocking and awful, I don't actually know her but I had a lump in my throat, It has made me realise we should cherish every moment because we don't know whats around the corner, I cannot imagine the pain her and her family must be feeling, although I know I would be lost without my DH. It kind of makes listing seem unimportant.

JKS thanks for the tip about the remote, DH managed to fix it. Before he came home I broke of the volume controls on the TV and used a pen to turn the volume down, we just couldn't get through the whole day without TV What about packing board books that you can lift the flap with IYSWIM and plenty of patience for yourself, entertaining a 1 year old is hard enough at the best of times.

Where is everbody anyway? It's very quiet on here and no sign of CC yet, I hope she is Ok.

I'm off to visit my Grandad in a bit, my nan has said he is feeling alot better but he isn't allowed home yet.

PlumBumMum · 30/08/2009 13:41

JKS I still can't believe this is happening to your wee ds I can still remember your first post about him, poor wee thing, what about bringing a cd player and some nursery rhyme cds,
I remember going to Lanzarote when ds was that age and
I had to sing The runaway train came down the track and she blew nearly the whole way there
The people on the plane might have preferred him to wail the whole way there

Went to the cinema, film was quite amusing and dd2 actually sat quite still the whole way through, this was the film I didn't think she would like!

JustKeepSwimming · 30/08/2009 13:54

Plum & Peppa - thanks
