OK, you can have specific stuff for the machines, like laundry powder and dishwasher stuff and I'll chuck in a free bottle of Fairy washing up liquid, but for the rest of the house?

And not vinegar.
I don't care that it has amazing properties, I don't want my house to smell like a fish and chip shop.

Ecover limescale spray - amazing on e erything esp. bathroom in our hardwater area

Microfibres cloths- last batch from B&M are so good

I've never heard of Stardrops? Is it environmentally friendly? Where is it sold?

Buggerlugs123 · 21/07/2017 17:55

Zoflora linen fresh

poweredbybread · 21/07/2017 18:01

I'm getting method grapefruit! But mostly end up using baby wipes for everything but love Zoflora. I love your stash Trousers! I hate cleaning To so think the next best thing will make it easier. It doesn't. What I really HATE though is after using something to clean nasty nasty dustbins or puke, the smell of the cleaner ends up just smelling like bins or vomit, guess cos my brain associates it with nasties....

CherryPie400 · 22/07/2017 14:13

Cillit Bang - cleans kitchen surfaces, baths, toilets, kitchen floor and even walls if needed. I prefer dettol anti bac spray personally but it wouldn't clean a toilet that well x

CherryPie400 · 22/07/2017 14:15

Oh i forgot about Zoflora...i love zoflora!

IdoHaveAName · 22/07/2017 14:17

What is this 'Method' and where can I buy it?

ShiningWhit · 22/07/2017 14:25

Difficult to find but ozkleen kitchen or bathroom power - both the same.
Amazing stuff - read the instructions - septic tank friendly!
I use this, vinegar and fairy - for the whole house!

NameChangeFamousFolk · 22/07/2017 14:27

Method Lavender - I use it everywhere

Kaykee · 22/07/2017 14:45

I have method citrus it's horrible chemically rather than citrusy
Might need to get the grapefruit one. I like stardrops with bleach I use it sparingly but for certain things it's fab!

Don't use wipes except on the toilet and bin so they are one use only

TouchTheSky · 22/07/2017 14:47

Bleach!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/07/2017 14:50

Original Stardrops
Bleach
Wilko anti bac spray ( cat jumps up on the kitchen sink, blerk!)

Kursk · 22/07/2017 14:53

We can't use bleach as we have our own septic system. My cleaner of choice is bicarbonate of soda

bastedyoungturkey · 22/07/2017 15:01

For showers - cillit bang foamy spray. Comes in an aerosol spray and is brilliant.

Imspartacusforreal · 22/07/2017 15:03

Flash bleach

LapdanceShoeshine · 22/07/2017 15:16

I have Method kitchen & bathroom sprays & love both (although I do most bathroom cleaning just with microfibre cloth & water & finish with quick squirt of spray for the smell Smile)

The wild rhubarb anti-bac is new to me though, I shall be getting that.

@IdoHaveAName, you can get Method in Tesco, Sainsbury's & Waitrose. Usually £3 a bottle but £2 in Tesco atm apparently.

LapdanceShoeshine · 22/07/2017 15:17

So my 3 are Method brand
Microfibre cloths
Ecover loo cleaner

GerdaLovesLili · 22/07/2017 15:20

Bleach.

MrsBakedBean · 22/07/2017 15:34

What does everyone use bleach for? I've never bought a bottle of it in my life. Isn't it toxic?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/07/2017 15:36

Bleach for the loos and drains.

LapdanceShoeshine · 22/07/2017 15:55

I use dilute bleach very occasionally on my ancient, pitted, granite-effect white sink when the brown stains become too disgusting to look at.

Also a small amount on otherwise stubborn (rust) stains on ancient worktop.

But I know some people bleach their loos every day Shock

dementedma · 22/07/2017 16:31

Yes beans it is but as long as the sink.is "sparkling" who cares? Sod the environment...

YellowLawn · 22/07/2017 16:33

bleach is not a cleaning product.
it's a disinfectant!
normal households do not regularly need disinfectants. soap and water are all you need really.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/07/2017 16:34

I tried to ditch the bleach but my toilets stink just using cleaner.

MaMisled · 22/07/2017 16:41

Sainsburys kitchen spray with bleach.

arrrrghhwinehelpswithteens · 22/07/2017 18:07

Lemon juice
bicarbonate of soda
carbolic soap.
Lemon & bicarb mixed to a paste will clean almost anything (& smells better than vinegar); carbolic soap is bloody amazing. You can grate it for floors & surfaces & it removes stains from clothes better than vanish.

And yes, Stardrops. Works on everything including jewellery
