OK, you can have specific stuff for the machines, like laundry powder and dishwasher stuff and I'll chuck in a free bottle of Fairy washing up liquid, but for the rest of the house?

And not vinegar.
I don't care that it has amazing properties, I don't want my house to smell like a fish and chip shop.

Bleach, viakal/lidl equivalent. Everything else is optional... maybe astonish? Or mould spray. But really if I've got fairy, bleach and viakal I don't need anything else...

Etymology23 · 16/07/2017 14:35

Ooh no, Milton for glasses and teaspoons!

K1092902 · 16/07/2017 14:36

A cleaner Grin

DioneTheDiabolist · 16/07/2017 14:44

Elbow Grease, even the cloths/mop I use is cleaner when I have rinsed it.

LazySusan11 · 16/07/2017 14:48

Waitrose own Eco kitchen grapefruit spray is cruelty free cheap and actually works!

Puffpaw · 16/07/2017 14:51

I used to say cif, but I can't buy it now because it has microbeads. Poor 🐟 🐟 🐟 😔

slothqueen · 16/07/2017 14:51

Another that came on to say method grapefruit

cowgirlsareforever · 16/07/2017 14:54

Astonish.

OopsThereGoMyTrousers · 16/07/2017 14:57

I think good old Flash is still my favourite

I'm still searching for my hero bathroom product.
The truth is, I HATE cleaning and think that buying the next big thing will give me a clean house without actually doing anything...

My third thing is microfibre cloths, the towelling style ones that "catch" on your hands. Good for most jobs.

AlexanderHamilton · 16/07/2017 15:03

Window cleaner.

kingfishergreen · 16/07/2017 15:32

Big Power and Shine - probably kills porpoises dead, but dries an amazing job on tiles and metalware.

Fairy Platinum.

Bleach, gallons of bleach.

kingfishergreen · 16/07/2017 15:32

'Big' is 'Cif' if you're my phone.

These too, I actually look forward to dusting with them (beats an odd sock over the hand).

Mr Sheen

Thinkingofausername1 · 16/07/2017 17:15

I quite like Sainsbury's lemon antibacterial spray and method except the lavender one 😜

Crumbelina · 16/07/2017 17:21

I HATE cleaning too. We're renovating a house room by room and lots of decisions are based on minimal cleaning (water softener, minimal chrome in the shower, lots of storage, no shelves). My laziness is really pushing the budget up!

Harvestmoonsobig · 16/07/2017 17:37

Using wet wipes for household cleaning - do they leave a greasy film on surfaces?

Harvestmoonsobig · 16/07/2017 17:42

Wet wipes = baby wet wipes?

elevenclips · 16/07/2017 18:59

Do you live far from shops? It looks like you have several identical items. E.g. The harpic - I keep one bottle of this. If it runs out and I don't have any more, it's not the end of the world.
You also have a lot of spray bottles. I have two. One contains a bathroom product www.lakeland.co.uk/23470/HG-Eco-Limescale-Remover-Spray-500ml?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItfvHrbCO1QIVIrHtCh2N1wxtEAQYASABEgLDavD_BwE&src=gfeed&ef_id=WVURmAAABDBtjjcz:20170716175801:s and the other contains dettol antibacterial spray (mainly used to clean skanky shoes!)
