OK, you can have specific stuff for the machines, like laundry powder and dishwasher stuff and I'll chuck in a free bottle of Fairy washing up liquid, but for the rest of the house?

And not vinegar.
I don't care that it has amazing properties, I don't want my house to smell like a fish and chip shop.

Sainsbury's yellow spray cleaner, bleach and kitchen towel.

HATE all kinds of wipes, sorry. Blight on the environment.

dementedma · 19/07/2017 18:47

starting reading this but can't bear it - all those wipes and bleach.
someone actually posted "it probably kills porpoises but gets my tiles clean". Well, that's alright then!
Where do you think all these wipes end up? As a beachcomber, i could give you a clue!!! use a fucking cloth which is reusable.
Angry

When you are trying to explain to your kids what a porpoise is because its extinct, will it be worth all the wipes?

CPtart · 19/07/2017 19:04

Bleach (don't use anything else!)

CremeEggThief · 19/07/2017 21:59

Flash bleach.

woodhill · 19/07/2017 22:05

Yes I agree about overuse of wipes.

ChishandFips33 · 19/07/2017 22:10

Method kitchen spray
Method shower spray
Method bathroom spray

steppemum · 20/07/2017 09:40

Flash liquid.
well, asdas own brand version.
I use it neat on cloths and sponges everywhere, it cleans everything and is very easy to rinse off.

bleach for toilets only, because I can't keep them stain free otherwise.

I do use dettol mould remover too, but that is specific to a specific problem.

Actually, I don't have more than that in my house I don't think

fussychica · 20/07/2017 12:23

E cloths because I can clean so many things just with water and no product.

MrsBakedBean · 20/07/2017 13:08

I'm with you fussychica...don't know what I'd do without e cloths and water.

TheScottishPlay · 20/07/2017 20:40

Method Rhubarb, Lavender and Citrus sprays. Not so keen on the Watermint.
I live their laundry detergents too. I stock up when Tesco have it on offer.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 20/07/2017 20:47

For those who love Method like I do, I am loving the limited edition Johanna Basford "flavours".

Cleanermaidcook · 20/07/2017 20:52

Dettol
Glass cleaner
Bleach.

Thats it, dont need anything else :)

GrumpyGreta · 20/07/2017 20:57

Was going to say bleach but now think it might be baby wipes!! I do love bleach though.

Flowerpower321 · 20/07/2017 21:03

Method spray, star drops and zoflora clean almost everything

Joshpaws · 21/07/2017 08:00

Method Wild Rhubarb for me too. It's in special offer at Tesco and Sainsbury's at the moment £2.

It's also Cruelty Free (not tested on animals) and totally biodegradable, if these things matter to you.

woodhill · 21/07/2017 08:08

Thanks Josh, I like Method and use bathroom cleaner and furniture polish. I do have bleach but rarely use it.

It is not good for the eco system. We don't need to live in a sterile environment.

I do use a wipe for toilet seats but may start to cut down.

DIYNOVICE · 21/07/2017 08:16

Bleach.

BusterGonad · 21/07/2017 09:07

When I was really really skint I'd use washing up liquid (soapy hot water) for EVERYTHING!!!

Joshpaws · 21/07/2017 09:22

Just think of all those products being squirted into the eyes of rabbits who are unable even to use their paws to try to rub them out 😡

MrsBakedBean · 21/07/2017 09:40

bustergonad - that's all you actually need. Marketing companies have done a good job of trying to tell us otherwise.

BusterGonad · 21/07/2017 09:54

BakedBean I only buy other products when they are on offer, except toilet cleaner as my toilet sometimes needs something a bit more powerful! I did splash out recently when Wilkos had lots of stuff reduced to 50p or less!

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 21/07/2017 17:03

I'm horrified at how much bleach everyone uses!

Rainontheflowers · 21/07/2017 17:08

If I'm allowed three, it would be:
Zoflora bouquet
Milton spray
Soda crystals

I would like to try making my own though, as it's better for the environment. I just worry if homemade cleaning products would be strong enough to kill bacteria.

Phalarope · 21/07/2017 17:24

Bit shocked at all the baby wipes being chucked into landfill.

My vote is for cheapo microfibre cloths, a squeegee to wipe down the shower (so I can basically ignore it for weeks) and sugar soap for the utterly disgusting jobs, ie the state of this house when we moved in and the owner had seemingly lived exclusively off fried lamb and never cleaned.

OxfordshireLass · 21/07/2017 17:33

E-cloth
Method multi-surface
Method granite cleaner

Christ on a bike - I sound ridiculously entitled. I think that I may hate myself.
