ohhhh now it makes sense - just received an email

omg, i did too much
hope it does compensate for not wearing shoes?!

misdee · 07/09/2006 12:28

i have been very busy this morning. i have actually done 2 loads of laundry, now drying. i have cleared the hall again. and put some of dh records away which have been in the hallway for months.

but my kitchen is looking splendid i must say. i have done a few 15min blocks in there over the last few days, but today i spent about 45 mins just getting the last bit done as it was annoying me. so now i have a sparkling organised kitchen. tomorrow i will use my Fly-ing time to declutter the drawers. yes i am sad and post pictures lol

BarefootJasnem · 07/09/2006 12:46

Love the pictures (don't care what anyone else thinks as it helps me to post them on here). I particularly like the dolls squished under the cupboard!
I've been out and bought a nice metal dish drainer to replace my yukky plastic one, so now when it's empty you can see the shiny draining board.

constantly double posting. Sorry. It isn't deliberate.

misdee · 07/09/2006 12:48

the dolls have been rescued and will be listed on ebay later tonight. they have been in a cupboard for years, and thought i'd try selling them before i give them away.

coderoo · 07/09/2006 12:48

missdee! your kithcen!!! wow!
you asre closer to god

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 07/09/2006 12:49

Well done misdee.

I was a little late leaving for pre-school but would of made it in time if the buggy hadn't got a puncture half way up the big hill!

Managed to tilt it and push to the top then let dd2 walk the rest of the way.She walked nearly all the way home apart from coming down the hill because its a busy road with big lorries!
Knackered now!

Back to add more to Ebay now.

mummy2ashton · 07/09/2006 13:40

wow missdee! what a transformation! well done! you are putting me to shame today!

i can't do any dishes as there are workmen at the bottom of my street and they hit a waterpipe! so we have no water! nightmare! can't flush loo, have a shower or anything! i was actually in the shower when the water went off!

sigh, away to watch neighbors and hope the water is back on when its over!

xxx

I've found I can be ever so proud of

My kitchen floor has NEVER looked like the kitchen floor on 'How clean is your house' last night

trinityrhino · 07/09/2006 13:45

I've found something...that was supposed to say duh

Flamesparrow · 07/09/2006 13:47

Wow Misdee! it looks great .

Mine is looking 100x better than it was, but still need to do floor n bits so no photos til Sunday night.

AmandaP · 07/09/2006 13:52

I didn't see the kitchen floor you mean TR. Was it really that bad?!

Well done, Misdee - your kitchen looks amazing!

My knee is still sore so hobbling around and feeling sorry for myself. Haven't done today's mission yet, sorted out airing cupboard instead. Just how many duvet covers does a family of four need?????? It was shocking.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 07/09/2006 13:58

The floor on how clean is your house was foul!Covered in animal shit!

Im so not kitchen FLYing! But I have added 10 items so far to Ebay!

Glad everyone is having a good day.

trinityrhino · 07/09/2006 13:58

honestly it was awful, they lived on a farm but even so, they just walked in with their boots on and never wiped thier feet for 10 years. It was caked in a layer about 1cm thick in just dried mud and bird shit(it was a bird farm)

mummy2ashton · 07/09/2006 14:06

euch!!

AmandaP · 07/09/2006 14:09

I know I struggle to keep the kitchen floor clean what with dh who wears shoes/wellies/motorbike boots anywhere, plus the two kids who do likewise, plus me and my wellies/jodhpur boots etc etc, plus two large dogs and two cats. But even our floor isn't that bad!!! we only have 1cm of mud on our floor

samnbabes · 07/09/2006 14:12

oh, misidee - in awe. But scared of squashed dolls.

and happy to have only small amount of bird-poo on floor...

Have cleaned out clingfilm/silverfoil bit (easy, next to tupperware!!), and cleared out 3 drawers formally know as 'the drawers with all the plastic bags trying to pop out to them...'

But, sorry to keep questioning fly-wisdom, but (from my 2 minute reminder checks) - am I going to be expected to do a load of washing a DAY at some point soon?!?! How many clothes can one family wear? Surely some mistake???

mummyhill · 07/09/2006 14:17

I have a karate loving mechanic as a husband, a 4 yr old bellet dancer and a nearly 1 year old destruction zone in cloth nappies so with nappies, school uniform, dancing stuff, karate stuff, dh's uniform and my work uniform one load a day is easy as the karate stuff has to go in on its own and he trains 4 times a week.

mummyhill · 07/09/2006 14:18

ohh pooh i can't even spell ballet any more.

AmandaP · 07/09/2006 14:18

Hi Sam - I've interpreted the daily laundry task as something related to laundry each day - ie, either a load of washing, or some ironing, or putting ironed clothes away (instead of various piles in my kids bedrooms as I tend to do in the vague hope they will put their own clothes away!!) etc etc. With this looser interpretation, you should be able to do something laundry-related every day?

AmandaP · 07/09/2006 14:19

lol at the vision of your spanner-wielding high-kicking husband!!!!!

trinityrhino · 07/09/2006 14:22

ok here we go, if i was to start on my mountain of a laundry problem which has so many issues and really mesans that i cannot do the other stuff yet as it is everywhere, would i be allowed to try and do it in 10 min chunks PLEASE

the thing anywhere where I would put lcothes away is in complete dissaray too (clothes that are too small or dirty (cause my 6 yr old gets a bit confused.
I have masses too many clothes and that needs to be sorted aswell or we are going to end up in the same mess. there are about 7 million pieces of clean clothes all over the downstairs and half that again dirty so can I be permitted to do 10 mins upstairs sorting the drawers and then rest then ten minutes putting another load on and then sorting and then rest. I f you lot say yes then I will feel like it's ok and I won't keep putting the whole thing off which ended up with me threatening to take dd1 to school this morning with no socks when it isn't her fault that noone can find a single thing anytime.

misdee · 07/09/2006 14:31

just do as much as you can in 10mins. go into the worst room, start folding stuff tyo keep and throw unwanted stuff into black bags.

mummyhill · 07/09/2006 14:32

Trinity - YES
