DC=Darling children/dear children.

Im not one for tabs either.I have to be bad to take them and i feel crap right now.Starting to affect my ears/sinuses.

hazelnuts · 10/09/2006 21:21

Thanks tortoise. I see that you mean you would stay in bed if it was not for the DC to look after in the day. Its hard when it just yourself looking after them, but I dont want it any other way. I just keep going, I think thats the best way. you dont have time to think about being ill then

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 21:25

Totally agree hazelnuts.
I have no choice but to get on with things!
Im sure it does me better than wallowing in self pity in bed!!

hazelnuts · 10/09/2006 21:27

I have just had the e-mail from FLYing saying about wearing shoes. I dont wear shoes in the house. I like my slippers to much If I was to wear shoes my DC (well the two DS) would tell me off My DS would try too as well maybe I can get new house slipper shoes

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 21:33

We don't wear shoes in the house either.DS's would tell me off too!!
I like bare feet!

hazelnuts · 10/09/2006 21:48

Yep they sure will tortoise. Yet if you tell them, they don't want to know. My DD though, she is always putting things away. Its funny to watch her tell the DSs off for not putting bits away. I was made to wear slipper when I was a kid and its stuck with me. I don't make the DC wear them though. All my hot spots are don't now. washing should be finished soon

samnbabes · 10/09/2006 21:48

Hurrah for the retrun of the shoes debate. Bare feet here.

Just did 15mins quick clearing, 2 min hot-spot & shined sink so feeling more positive about next week now. Amazing how much you can get done in 15mins with a timer. Love my timer
Night all...

shazronnie · 10/09/2006 21:52

Please don't let's start on the shoe argument again!!!

(I wear shoes)

Mummy hill - it was Webbs of Wychbold, near Bromsgrove. i was the woman who left her screaming 3 year old DS on the floor by the till.

Ive just had a nice bath.Nose felt better until got out.
Dishwasher is on.
Kitchen still looking tidy.(can i keep it up this time?)
Bed in a minute!

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 22:04

Ok FLYers.I have a Q to ask.

When can i fit in doing an exercise dvd into the day? I have a great Davina one but only done it a few times.Im too fat and wobbly and i don't want to be like this anymore.

coggy · 10/09/2006 22:07

Shame you still feel rough Tortie.
Good effort on keeping up the FLYing though.

RR - my Dad died of a brain tumour many years ago now and we had MacMillan nurses come to the house....I have always been impressed with them so I'll make sure that's where my dosh goes for you.

Reindeer cakes and Christmas shopping - blimey!

Any news/info on Quootie recently?

BarefootJasnem · 10/09/2006 22:08

If you can keep it tidy feeling rough, it will be a doddle when you are better.
Buy ibuprofen as well as cold tablets etc (they usually contain paracetamol) so even if you feel better you'll have some in for next time.

I clock watch to take paracetamol as I'm bf and have sciatica, so I'm limited to what I can take.

I like the shoe debate (guess where I stand on the shoe thing?)

I've done 3 loads of washing today (due in part to unexpected diarrhoea episode from dd2. The laxative power of dried apricots is amazing!)

I have no timer. Can I use any old clock, or should I be using an egg timer type thing? All recommendations welcome.

coggy · 10/09/2006 22:09

Do it whenever and wherever you get your 15 minutes of loving movement reminder!!!

Could be interesting!!!

i have 3 hours 3 times a week child free.Wednesday,Friday and sunday.Have often thought exercise during those times but i stupidly get put off by people maybe seeing in the window! And i don't have a shower so it would take ages to do a bath afterwards!

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 22:16

Is it ibuprofen thats not recommended for people with asthma? (I don't have it bad but they know me in local chemists!)

I don't know of a time on the fitness DVD tortoise. I do some fitness things on a whenever I can get time. Now the school runs are back, I have even less time I just had to have a shower. I was planing on having a bath, but DD was bad all over me. She is ok now. I`m so glad the washing was finished. My cloths and hers cloths put straight in there and on washing now. I am now off to bed. I hope DD will be ok through the night. See you all tomorrow. Keep up the FLYing. NN all and take care xx

BarefootJasnem · 10/09/2006 22:18

Close the curtains/blinds, and run the bath before you start.

Feel free to ignore advice from the woman who hasn't even bought a decent video, but just sits around moaning about flabby belly and sagging thighs.

BarefootJasnem · 10/09/2006 22:24

tortiose, I've just googled it , and you are right, it doesn't sound like a great idea, particularly if you have aspirin sensitivity.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 22:27

Ok,ok,ok no more excuses! As long as the cold has gone by Friday I will start then(Can't do wednesday i have an appointment to go to!)
Oops there's 2 more excuses.

No sensitivity that i know of but i know i will be asked are you asthmatic and i will be unable to lie for some reason. And if its normal one she knows anyway!
Cold tabs it is then!

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 22:28

hazelnuts I hope your DD is ok through the night and better tomorrow.
