I am glad she is safe and sound zoo. Tell her well done. Not only did she do it, she did it in appauling weather conditions. Well done!

carrotsandcelery · 29/04/2012 19:36

I keep trying to say thank you zoo and mumsnet keeps crashing on me.

Carrot cake muffins it will be Grin

Everyone is currently having a hot choc before bed. Possibly not a good idea but I went out to fetch dd and it was freezing and she was in shorts and t-shirt Shock

Scout19075 · 29/04/2012 19:47

I think we may be having our first night of "I'm not sure I want to go to bed so I'm going to get up out of bed". Give me strength.

Scout19075 · 29/04/2012 20:22

We definitely are. MrScout and I are tag-teaming it in blocks.

carrotsandcelery · 29/04/2012 21:14

Good luck Scout and be firm and strong. The older they are the harder it will be (believe me) so better to crack it now.

bessie26 · 29/04/2012 21:48

^^ what carrots said!

CamperWidow · 29/04/2012 22:05

Hey all! Had a bit of a monster w/end and am feeling quite demoralised/emotional about it all. I feel like a hormonal mare, DH and I have had loads of petty arguements/snips at each other, Lol is calling black white, and to top it off I am back on the bloody sofa with Muddles cus she has this stupid bronchilitis and can only sleep near upright! :( Makes me wonder how we're gonna cope for a week in the camper on 'holiday'.

On the other hand I've seen Kate Rusby and will be seeing her again at the Shrewsbury Folk Festival!

bessie26 · 29/04/2012 22:12

Bummer about Muddles not sleeping in her cot after all your good work last week - have you tried propping her bed up? We had to prop DD2's (1yo) bed last night as the poor thing was just full of snot Sad

carrotsandcelery · 29/04/2012 22:17

((((hugs)))) Camper. The dcs seem to time things perfectly for when everyone is at their most stressed.

I have seen Kate Rusby several times but she seems to have stopped coming further North than Edinburgh lately. I am Envy Camper. If you speak to her ask her politely to get herself up to Carrots quick smart please!

carrotsandcelery · 29/04/2012 22:27

bessie please note I am being a good girl and going to bed now Grin

bessie26 · 29/04/2012 22:29
bessie26 · 29/04/2012 22:40

btw, incase anyone is interested(?!) I am thinking about moving my recipe blog to here as the search functionality seems to actually work be much better. But I want a new name for it - all suggestions welcome!

Scout19075 · 29/04/2012 22:58

Four hours in and he's still manic!

bessie26 · 29/04/2012 23:01

OMG! is he still saying he's not tired?

Scout19075 · 29/04/2012 23:56

Finally, FINALLY asleep.

OMG.

He wasn't saying much, really, just kept getting out and running back to bed. MrScout went up to bed (he leaves by 5:30 so really needs to get some sleep) and Toddler saw him and that set off tears, etc

He was soooo desperately tired.

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 00:27

I should say I expected this last week, when we first took the rails off, not a week later. He's normally very good at going to bed -- might not always sleep right away but would happily lay there, talking to Bunny or looking at a book. Not tonight.

Right, now that I've had a drink and calmed myself a bit I can finally go to sleep.

Good night/morning/whatever (and if I'm grumpy later I apologize now). Blush

bessie26 · 30/04/2012 03:15

Hope TS is still in bee asleep! DD2 just woke me after she turned around in her cot, which isn't a great idea when we've propped the bed up at one end.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 30/04/2012 06:13

Morning all, I am up bright and early! Grin I have started a new lists thread for May. I think I almost got an undisturbed night sleep although DD did whinge a bit --I just didn't get up-- I think the tablets may make me a bit sleepy sometimes. Shock I was in bed by 9.30 last night and up at 5.00am.

Scout and Bessie hope you got some sleep.

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 06:57

Toddler's just come into my room. I think my reconnecting the gate (it's a spring lock type thing) after having gone downstairs and come back up woke him up. I am not impressed.

CamperWidow · 30/04/2012 07:00

Morning guys!
Sorry for my whinge, self-flagellation is not really my style. Her mattress has a pillow under it and I even put a folded up blanket under her head too but to no availe. She has a really bad cough as well so that just adds to the misery!
But new day and more positive!!!!
Carrots I will let her know! Grin Can't wait to go and do some boogieing!! (Is that even a word???) Me and the girls go and camp with my parents at Cambridge and Shrewsbury. It's fab!!!! Grin
Scout that sucks! Bless him, hopefully he'll have got it all out of his system and knows you mean business for tonight!!!!
