Baby steps leaving footprints in the Winter snow

I have managed to put together some food from what was lurking in the fridge, freezer and cupboards and everyone ate it without complaint

I got the dishwasher unloaded while it was cooking too, so that is done and I have loaded up most dishes as I went along. It is very motivating having everyone around.

Carrots we are trying the pudding now. It is quite sweet but nice, the base is made from sweet shortcrust pastry (tastes like biscuit). The chocolate topping was meant to set but hasn't set very well.

I will have to have a look at that one but although I LOVE chocolate I am not a massive fan of chocolate puddings. Ds would be though and I have loads of sweet dessert pastry in the freezer.

I have been trying to do a meal plan out of what we have hanging around. It isn't looking too healthy just now but will save us a bit of cash. I will try to balance it with lots of fruit and veg related snacks.

Carrots Just to let you know, we made it without the fruit and nuts.

carrots we just use the drawer as interim storage for the recycling, our blue wheelie bin is full to the brim every fortnight.

At my old house I had a pull out cupboard in the kitchen, but again, it was only for short-term storage.

I am feeling very tired after all the fresh air & gardening today. I quite fancy going straight to bed, but need to have a bath, some wine & start on the thank-you cards (got some from truprint with a xmasy pic of the girls on )

We have a drawer a bit like the one you linked to for recycling. We had to put in a new kitchen when we extended the house and it was one of my requests.

The chocolate tart looks lovely BlackCat although a bit too rich for me probably. I have cut straight to the chase with the Thorntons

Day out with MrScout and Toddler today. Home late. Need to do my washing up, decluttering, etc. Don't really want to move though.

I am considering a Crabbies, especially as I can't concentrate on the film at all.

Have just realised I still haven't done my hot spots. Dh will have a fit if I start clattering around in the middle of his film.

I need a swift kick to go do the washing up/sink. Still haven't done the decluttering, either.

Can anyone tell me if the zones are in the same order every month/rotation or do they get mixed up? Getting bored with my dining/room kitchen, even though it needs a bit more TLC, but am wondering when I can more on and go back to it.

We should get a new zone this week Scout.

Evening all. Just watched a really rubbish film with DH - don't bother with the Innkeepers its complete garbage!
Everything has been ticked off my list for today, my sink is shiny and I managed to get DDs room tidied as she is having a sleepover with my MIL :)

Did you get your washing up/shiny sink done scout?

Scout they don't rotate in order I don't think. I think I got caught out by that one before.

yep, the zones repeat every month so don't worry if you miss stuff this time, you can try again in feb!

babystep 8 We've now got a morning & before-bed routine, and get to write them down in our "Control Journal"!

The Fly Lady suggests this should be in a ring binder, but IMO it can be wherever works for you. You could stick them inside a cupboard door, use an app on your phone or have a notepad. The important thing is that you remember to look at it!

I managed to get a better sleep last night so will hopefully feel more capable today.
I didn't do all of yesterdays list so will have a go today.

This morning I need to get breakfast, get a shower, get dressed, tidy kitchen, look at Fly website, do a hot spot.
That will do for a start!

Hallo everyone.you were a productive lot yesterday,pats on the backs all round!
i spent 4 glorious hours watch scooby,playing board games and doing puzzles.sometimes i forget how much i like playing with my kids as when chaos reigned seemed to be running round like a headless chicken but nothing much got done!
i did shine my sink and wash up before bed......when i got up SHOCK HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!my dd(17) had decided to make a late night snack and had drained the red vinegar into my clean sink the sloshed remnants chocolate and it made it onto the drainer AND the tiles behind the sink.had to resist the urge drag out bed and reshine with her lovely hair.its clean again now and i will be having stiff words when she surfaces!
today i have to go to morrisons shopping.i dont drive and cupboards are bare so its a major shop and taxi back(trying to justify £7).we are all dressed,fed.washing on.intend quick wipe of the fridge before i go out.takes around 40mins to get shops(asda is closer but its a tiny one that mainly sells ready meals and "beige"food).good njob all my kids are raised as walkers!ha ha.will pop in when i get back and hope for some inspiration to fly today.just goin got do a meal plan then we're off

live would a delivery be cheaper than a taxi for your shopping. I don't know how it varies according to area. My friend used to get one when she was in a flat in town as they carried it up all the flights of stairs. She had no idea where to leave her baby while she carried it up as she couldn't carry the shopping and the baby.

So far I have hung a load of washing and have put another load in to wash.

I am having a and then I will have another in the bath with my book (well kindle now - lovely Christmas gift all my inlaws clubbed together to get for me )

Is there a home routine app for android? I have just got one (Christmas from dh) and am just figuring out what it is all about.

I also need to list some ebay as well as the usual routines as it is free listing today. Before I do that I STILL have to find the camera cable
