It's just a tefl course, not massively useful at this stage in my life but ties in with my degree and the British Council work I've done. Was always going to do it but then moved to bots, then had babies etc but it came up on groupon with a huge discount so figured I may as well do it just to get the old brain working. It's dull as anything though so not really inspired!

Mini hope the mammogram goes ok

Does anyone else keep going to click on the procrastinators thread in student parents?

OP posts:
anonymousbird · 02/11/2011 17:20

Helllllloooooooooooooooooo.

Freaki - good for you, you never know when it could be useful. Does Groupon work? I get the emails and I hover over them and then panic that there will be a catch!

DD is 6 tomorrow Smile so today has mostly been panicking about presents and party getting ready for the Big Day.

JKSLtd · 02/11/2011 19:40

Freak - haven't seen that thread but my mush-brain would definitely get confused!

Anon - Happy 6th birthday to your DD for tomorrow :)

FreakoidOrganisoid · 03/11/2011 17:35

it especially confuses me as procrastinators is in capitals and draws me in.

OP posts:
anonymousbird · 03/11/2011 19:21

FreakoidOrganisoid · 03/11/2011 20:00

Yes anon still. Can't believe it's still ongoing and the lengths someone is going to to cause trouble Sad

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 03/11/2011 20:04

Freak I have replied. My guess is that it is him. And he is too thick to realise that you will actually go to the police. Please do go to the police, and then it will all be clear.

He is a total cock, total.

JKSLtd · 03/11/2011 20:08

My laptop is in Apple hospital - luckily it is being repaired for free :)
But only have my phone to post with and I'm not good doing that so no lists til I get it back.

Freak read thread. Sorry u are having this trouble :( no idea how it works but would go with going to the police.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 03/11/2011 20:19

Thanks guys.

Just so so sick of it all. Just want my life to be calm and drama free. Guess I need to be very careful about who is in my life, stay away from men and keep a low profile. Just relieved it isn't impacting on the dc though the issues with the neighbours may do.

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 03/11/2011 22:44

Freak - did you find out who was doing the stirring between you and that other bloke? Seems weird to have a v.similar scenario occurring again? You don't think your ex is involved do you?

I have tackled the paperwork pile of Doom in the kitchen, and now have masses more workspace available.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 03/11/2011 23:04

Ali we presumed xh because it stopped when I told him i'd call police if I got more calls and after I told him there was nothing between me and other bloke...I wondered about him with this but I don't see how he'd have got wc or gfs numbers. unless the original informer was a friend of his?

I've been driving myself mad trying to work out who it could be, now I just want it to stop so I can move on.

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 03/11/2011 23:17

Freak it is all really crap, I really feel for you. I would go to the police, because as you say it is a bit weird to have someone know so much about your life. My money would be on it being WC, but it would be good to know for sure for peace of mind.

anonymousbird · 04/11/2011 11:05

Friday is usually tidy up day for the weekend, but I seriously have my work cut out as DD had her party yesterday afternoon Confused so there it more to do than usual!

DS was such a little star, bless him, there he was surrounded by a gaggle of girls, and he was doing his best to tell jokes and ditties at tea and joined in all the games to make his sister's party as good as possible. He was sooooo sweet. I had a little chat with him after about how proud I was of him just joining in and not making a fuss and he just said "Mummy I really wanted DD to have the best birthday". Smile

Just a quick list as weekend is upn us.
Freaki I am sorry to hear you still have crap going on, I couldn't find your thread. But I'm right behind you, in a friendly mammoth kind of way.
loads of HW to do. and stilll got to sort christmas logistics, am v. pulled with DGC in 2 different directions now.

deal with leaves
organise a body double or clone
make DH a wheat free cake, his BD was thurs and I have neglected him
papers blah
bathroom 2 star doom
stair carpet -more hair than cat
and more that I cant be bothered to list or will frighten myself

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 05/11/2011 10:27

Morning :)

Having a lazy morning here, MonstersInc and bacon sandwiches on the sofa. Need a short list though because my parents are coming before lunch.

TO DO
Get everyone clean and dressed
Half hour of housework upstairs
Make a plan for this afternoon
Decide what to give the boys for tea (we are getting a curry, yum!)

FreakoidOrganisoid · 05/11/2011 13:53

Ah mini I hadn't really considered grandparents also getting torn in 2 directions at xmas Blush I've always just been glad I've never had to do the juggling parenst thing so many of my friends seem to- even when I was with xh our parents were on different continents so we just spent it with whoever we were in the same country as at the time!

Kittens now have collars with tags on so don't have to worry about them getting stuck in other gardens so much now. DS helped me choose them andthey are very blingy (wasn't much choice in kitten collars)-bright rainbow stripes with a bell and a flower charm on Grin

Computer very slow today, is making me want to scream! Poorly ds is asleep on sofa, dd at a party. Had very little sleep last night between the two of them (dd not ill but has a night cough) and someone lobbing bits of pumpkin at my bedroom window from the alley behind.

Todays list

  1. Stop caring about people who clearly don't care about me back
  2. Stop caring what the above people say or think about me
  3. Stop being nice to people who don't deserve it and getting walked over by them
  4. Try to work out why I keep attracting weirdos
  5. Start online CBT course

FreakoidOrganisoid · 07/11/2011 14:10

Today am mainly looking after poorly ds, looking after friend's ds, washing and experimenting with beetroot risotto for dinner-am nt convinced it will be nice!

Have also ordered a couple of xmas decorations...I normally buy one or two 'nice' ones every year so I can gradually phase out the tat but think that maybe clicking on links to white company and cox and cox was a bad idea, I bought a couple more than intended Blush did get 20% discount on both sites though...

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 07/11/2011 16:45

Freaky that is a good list. I like to do that with decorations too. I often get a couple in John Lewis but I may have a look at Cox and Cox.

Productive weekend here. My parents came up and have helped loads with the boys while DH and I got a few jobs done around the house, and we went to the fireworks last night which was brilliant. Had some little ear defenders for DS2 :)

Just the usual left to do today, dinner, bath, bed, plus one more load of washing.

anonymousbird · 07/11/2011 18:32

Hello ladies.

Freak - good list.

Have had fairly productive day:

  • Up and to school DONE
  • Gardening at school DONE
  • Home for lunch and hot shower Smile DONE
  • Back to school DONE
  • Feel like I may as well move into the blinking school DOING!
  • Home for tea DONE
  • Make dinner DONE

Tomorrow is EBAY DAY!!!!!! Oh glory, I hate listing on ebay, hate it with a passion, however I have loads and loads to sell, and it's a very annoying pile in the corner of our bedroom and I want the cash, so I really must do it!

I have some Charlie Bears to sell. The two I have to sell sold recently (as part of a set of three, though) for nearly £200!!!!! I mean WTF?! For teddies? Really?

Sure I won't get that much (or even two thirds of that much!) but clearly there is a market for these blooming things so I need to go for it!

Ali - DD had her ear defenders on too on Saturday! Nice bright pink ones she's got!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/11/2011 11:01

I am lacking in brain.
Have lost
party invitation
lovefilm dvds i had ready to send back
invitations for ds' party
something else I remembered in the middle of the night but have now forgotten.Hmm

Did online shop yday and forgot to order loads of stuff.

Think last week was just so stressful that I wasn't functioning normally and also havent had much sleep with ds being ill.

Spent all that time looking into pet insurance and trying to pick the right one and now the buggers have charged me twice. So need to chase that up.

Also need to make dentist appt for dc as had to cancelt he last one.
