AKA 'Oh yikes, a new thread cometh...' Grin

I Freak, do solemnly swear to post regularly on the new thread so as to avoid an unseasonal title.

No improvement from DD at all, still throwing up every feed. And now grumpy & tired too but resisting sleep.

It's one I bought, I also dithered about costs for a couple of years, then thought, if I'd bought it I'd have had it for those years so just get on with it.

It's this one though it says out of stock now. It's very worth it, both boys have already had a play :)

Today:

  • pukey washing; More doing & more waiting
  • wrap newly arrived presents DONE & put away
  • advent calendar down from loft DONE + choc ones out of cupboard DONE
  • change lightbulbs in kitchen DONE 2 (need to buy more)
  • decide about lunch/feed DD more and see if anything stays down DONE
  • lunch at home (boo) & tidy up DONE
  • Nanny taking DS2 out to SN playgroup DONE
  • enjoy peace & quiet DONE
  • collect DS1, reading, etc DONE
  • tea & tidy up (fish finger day)
  • DC bath & bed
  • DH home at some point/early night needed

Ongoing:

  • book handyman in to clean gutters (& other jobs)
  • order blind for kitchen side door
  • pictures to label 'animals' & 'people' & 'cars' boxes
  • watch Prison Break DVDs & give back to PIL; Started; Done more
  • clean oven; Bought Oven Pride
  • get kitchen curtains dry cleaned
  • family tree (scanning in old certs & photos & email new contact)
  • tackle Areas of Doom; Coat hooks DONE & Landing cupboard DONE
  • buy some frames that will hang on the wall & hang up as many photos as poss; need some sizes
  • new watch battery needed
  • sort iPhoto on laptop... no luck yet
  • book smear test
  • book flu jabs for at least DS2 & me, maybe other DC
  • big bathroom blitz needed
  • town trip needed

Oh poor DD, and poor you JKS! There isn't anything you can do really is there? BM is the best thing for poorly tums when they are little which you are already doing!
That calendar is lovely, and would tick two boxes, because I am also hankering after a Nativity but can only find hideously expensive wooden ones for £100+ which I have REALLY baulked at!
Have bookmarked that page and I will buy one once they are back in stock :) For this year it will have to be the chocolate Cars 2 one my Mum got him Grin

FreakoidOrganisoid · 30/11/2011 16:52

Oh no JKS, really hoping she gets better soon. It's especially hard to see them poorly when they're so tiny I think

Right - are we going to have a new festive thread to start tomorrow? Any title ideas?

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 30/11/2011 17:03

What about 'Procrastinators Ambling through Advent and Composing Christmas Lists'?

anonymousbird · 30/11/2011 18:11

JKS - no fun for either of you. Fingers crossed she recovers soon.

Ali - I like it! And tomorrow is the first, so we must take the plunge....

Have first christmas party tonight (!). Mum's night out.

We have cadbury's advent calendars, also gave the same to my godson and his sister.

We also have a rather twee but quite addictive "Jackie Lawson" advent calendar on the computer which my mum sends to the kids every year. They absolutely love it. Probably the best value two quid she spends on them all year - 25 days entertainment for 2 children!! (seriously, they are quite entrancing, I would recommend - how sad am I?!) www.jacquielawson.com/advent/london

JKSLtd · 30/11/2011 19:42

Ali - I like it :)

Anon - thanks for that have just paid for it, it's installing now. Sure DS1 will love it!

DD gone to bed fine so fingers crossed being asleep will stop her being sick - she had a 3ish hour nap earlier and wasn't sick during that so i'm hopeful.
Though a realist so already in pjs and will be heading off to bed asap as i'm sure we'll be up in the night.

DD seems much better today, thank goodness! No puking since last night and plenty of milk feeds. :)

No chance to go into town, but did get boiler fixed as we woke up with no heating. Turns out it was the fuse in the plug as it shares a socket with the lamp we use up in the loft - which I knocked over yesterday and broke.

How was panto HMHB? We are off to Christmas dinner tomorrow, which just doesn't seem right.
Small list
Art class
Print forms
Pack small bag for London
Book ticket
get ready for dinner

Mulledmammoth · 01/12/2011 18:45

It went and posted itself before I was ready.
Clear kitchen
Tidy
Washing
Emails

JKSLtd · 01/12/2011 19:10

Mini/Mulled (like the name :) ) - i was meant to be having a Christmas dinner yesterday which was frankly just wrong. Maybe that's why DD objected, lol.

DD to bed early, DS2 meltdown at having clothes changed to pjs have left him to it whilst watching tv with DS1. Will have to go up and see what the damage is in a mo. Often he pulls his clothes & nappy off when screaming so I never know what I'll find...

FreakoidOrganisoid · 01/12/2011 19:54

I appear to have not done anything on my mental list apart from phone the dentist and the job centre but do seem to have ventured into the loft and got the decorations down. I might possibly maybe have also put some decorations up....Blush Not the tree yet though.

OP posts:
JKSLtd · 01/12/2011 19:59

Have you Freak? Anyone else done their decorations yet? I was holding out as I know I get fed up with them pretty quickly though DS1 is asking for them.
Maybe next week some time...

I tackled a lot of paperwork today, nothing major really but it has been piling up & every now and then it feels like it's 'winning'. Today I won Grin

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/12/2011 20:05

We are going to buy our tree on Saturday so we will put other stuff up then. I love christmas decorations Grin

I will start the new thread later!

anonymousbird · 01/12/2011 20:58

I know where the decs are, does that count?! Oh, and my new outside pretty lights turned up yesterday, but I haven't opened the box.

DS wants to buy the tree this weekend... suspect it won't happen this weekend, maybe during next week.

We are off to Panto on 10th Dec, hurrah!

DC had found and eaten chocolate number one from their Cadburys advent calendars before I had even come downstairs this morning. DH was in charge of breakfast, as he was going to work a bit later than normal and he just said "sorry, what was I to do?!". So it's chocolate for breakfast for the next 23 days as well then now!

Ah well, it is nearly Christmas after all. Smile

JKSLtd · 01/12/2011 21:05

chocolate for breakfast is, like, a law in advent Grin

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/12/2011 21:39

new thread is ready - can't do a link, I am BFing so one-handed!

JKSLtd · 01/12/2011 21:47

Know that feeling Ali :)

here it is.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/12/2011 22:04

Thanks JKS :)
