I Freak, do solemnly swear to post regularly on the new thread so as to avoid an unseasonal title.

JKS the poo sounds a nightmare, sympathies. Sad

I decided to take the boys to the zoo this afternoon. I am knackered, and I think I got a speeding ticket on the way home. Bollocks Angry

Both boys are asleep in the car, I am still sat in it on the drive just having 5 minutes peace before I get them out! DS2 is especially exhausting at the moment, he is crawling around all over the place and has now started pulling himself up on things. No sense of danger though because he is so little, I am exhausted trying to keep him safe.

Oh, and it is our 4th wedding anniversary today Smile DH is working late though Sad

anonymousbird · 27/10/2011 18:55

Happy Anniversary!!! It's our thirteenth in two weeks.... eek.

Well my list is now:

JKSLtd · 27/10/2011 19:47

Oh my, I must say, a whistle with a crowd of children...... incredible. Forget having to shout, just blow the damned whistle!!!!! Ten kids screaming their heads off in the kitchen.. no voice can be heard. Blow the whistle??? ALLLELUYAH!!!!!

JKS - glad the day improved!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 27/10/2011 23:02

We are having champagne and ice cream. Yum Grin

It was one of those cameras in the back of a van, and I just didn't see it and realise what it was quickly enough. I will be very, very surprised if I don't get something in the post in a week or two.

DH has got another long day tomorrow, I think I may go insane trying to keep the boys happy. DS1 is very unsettled by DS2 being on the move, he hates that he comes barging into all his games and there has been a fair amount of shoving.
I may resort to putting them in the car and just driving round until they are asleep and then parking up somewhere and reading my book.

JKSLtd · 28/10/2011 20:28

Anon - Had to PMSL at that image with the whistle [hgrin]

Ali - i quite like the sound of that drive - if only I though all 3 would sleep at the same time i would definitely give it a go!!

Long and good day out today with friends, knackering though. DS1 & DD asleep pretty quickly, went up to check on them all and DS2 was awake - not like him but had a dirty nappy so think he had stayed up to go, lol. Also he had put his shoes on DS1's pillow [hhmm] - he does have a strange relationship with his shoes right now but giving them to your sleeping brother is particularly weird!

Dh away overnight at his parent - seeing his Dad's band at a gig.

Saturday:

  • all up & breakfasted
  • all dressed
  • DH hoping to get home early

JKS - the power of the whistle. I hadn't even thought of it. DS said "Mum, buy a whistle" so I did. Then during tea and the extraordinary noise, I was wondering how to deal with it and DD pointed at my whistle through the din as I couldn't hear what she was saying and it was simply maaaaaarvellous. They all instantly go quiet. I think they use a whistle in the playground at school and it is sooo effective.

We had a great day out, gorgeous day here. Actually sat outside in the Botanical Gardens for lunch!

DH has just taken off from Texas... home tomorrow!

And, JKS, your FIL is in a band?!

JKSLtd · 29/10/2011 14:58

Anon - your DD is a genius! Maybe i'll keep a whistle on hand when all the DC are bigger & noisier!
FIL plays guitar in a band with 3 others. They are ok apparently, i haven't heard them yet. THey play covers, sort of mixture of blues & rock i think. Though they did the Timewarp last night as it was a Halloween dressing up evening at the pub they were playing in.

Grin at whistle

Jks sorry ds2 is hard work at the moment. Ds also went through a stage of being a total nightmare, I'd forgotten how bad it was until I stumbled across some very desperate threads I'd started!

Have managed to clean bathroom and do the ironing today, quite an achievement!

Morning!! We still have one more day of half term to go... Halloween party later - DC refuse to dress up (nothing new there) but have said "Mummy can make us some hats". Hmm.

perhaps they haven't noticed yet that Mummy is beyond hopeless at anything remotely creative!! How on earth do I rustle up some hats out of thin air?!

Anyway, so we are still on short list mode:

  • survive the day
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 31/10/2011 09:44

Morning ladies - back to preschool today!

Short lists today I think, need to ease myself back in before I do a massive one for the whole day!

TO DO
Unload dishwasher
Clear up kitchen
Fold basket of laundry
Make packed lunch for DS1
Put another wash on

anonymousbird · 31/10/2011 10:24

Ali - my list for tomorrow is going to be shocking. Shame it's Halloween today as my list would suit today perfectly!!!

We have so far:

  • got up and showered and dressed
  • Had breakfast
  • got fancy dress on for this evening's party Hmm
  • bought and wrapped a gift
  • .....

And still working on:

  • survive the day

Talkin to yourself again JKS? Grin

I feel like I've done a lot today but actually I probably havent Hmm
DS was being a little shit naughty this morning so I took my anger out on my sitting room and pulled out all the furniture and hoovered behind it. Then went and had tea and cake at friends, had another friend over for lunch (and sat chatting all afternoon), tidied the toybox and cleaned the toys, cooked dinner, mopped the floors...Oh and 2loads of washing, plus putting away the dry stuff off the airers.

Evening :)

I had a nap today - DS2 slept for nearly 2 hours while DS1 was at preschool! Woohoo! This is unheard of, he normally only naps for about 30-40 minutes throughout the entire day. Feel much better Grin

Today has been quite productive, and I'm going to book my online shopping for Friday in a minute. I need to start a list for Christmas, otherwise it will be December and I'll have done nothing.

JKS - you have an iPhone/Macbook combo don't you? My macbook diary keeps overwriting my phone diary - which is a disaster and I am losing appointments. What am I doing/not doing? Confused
