Dosey I hope all is ok today.
Some of the businesses round here allow each employee a certain amount of personal internet time each day. It could be suggested to your employer as a way of allowing a little but avoiding an excess.
It would seem unrealistic for an employee never to look at anything on the web.
You could also "waste" equal amounts of time at the coffee maker, in the ladies, if you were a smoker etc. I know that won't necessarily wash with the employer though.
The other point is that if there has not yet been a policy about internet use and your productivity is not an issue then you are not at fault. Once they instigate a policy then I imagine it would be different.
Good luck anyway - I hate being in limbo. If I am going to get it in the neck I would rather just get on with it.
The other thing I would say is that if the whole office is being checked on then I imagine some employees have been on far more
sites than mumsnet and flylady!
