Well, that was surprisingly lucrative 
Three loyalty cards from my hairdressers, with enough stamps combined on all three to get £10 off my next haircut
Some change...
A $20 HK dollar note (worth a whole £1.50)
And a card from Monsoon giving me £10 off my next purchase if I bring an old item of Monsoon clothing in (no expiry date visible so should be OK)
And a note with a mobile number on it just saying "Ruth". No idea.

hi everyboy. Carrots I am 
about your party. Its sounds like fun. I am doing my 'thursday jobs' today as well as catching up with my missions, doing some ironing and playing with dd2. Before I start all that I am just having a cuppa and poking around mumsnet.
Hope we are all ok x

I hope it is fun Dosey. I have done most of the jobs I can do for now. There is no point in hoovering until just before they get here as our dog casts all over the place.
Ds is off school today too and is doing some craft at the kitchen table so there will be some debris to sort from that too once he is finished.
There was nothing of interest on my bedside table 
but it is all dusted and tidy now anyway.

Party has been postponed until next week due to the bug sweeping the village
At least it motivated me through the house blessing though
And will keep me motivated to keep on top of things til next week

Ha ha! Well that was a sinch as I don't have a dresser!
I have spent an hour unearthing ds's bedroom though - the dog couldn't actually get in it 
In his defence it was not him who trashed it, it was a visiting friend's wee boy. He is lovely so I forgive him but didn't feel it was fair to make ds sort it out.
Sadly dd has to do her own room as she is responsible for all the mess there. She kept it beautifully for months but seems to have fallen off the wagon on that front. I may need to give it the black bag treatment again to get the point across again 
Highly motivated today by fact we have a baby sitter tonight so dh and I can have a bit of time out.
Downstairs is fine after preparing for the party that didn't happen so just the dcs rooms and the landing to sort out.
Maybe the key to a clean house is to have a visitor every 2 or 3 days to keep you on your toes?

Hot spot extinguished here. I got into doing the cupboard that holds all the letters, drawing paper, pens, pencils etc in the kitchen so it took me waaaay longer than 15 mins but was very satisfying. I went through all the pens and chucked the ones that no longer work etc so it should be a bit more user friendly for the dcs.
I also removed honestly at least a hundred colouring pencils. I have put them in a bag for the school. I am sure they breed in there as I did the same last year. Where do all the colouring pencils come from? I can remember having one set of felt pens and one of colouring pencils when I was wee and really treasuring them. [old emoticon]
Also, does everyone else feel really guilty recycling all their dcs art work? My ds is an enthusiastic drawer and can get through more than one drawing pad in a week. He is quite good so I used to be tempted to keep his pictures but there are just so many of them I end up putting whole drawing pads in the recycling or selecting one picture and chucking the rest of the pad in the recycling. It makes me feel really mean but we would be like one of those houses you see on tv where there is just one wee path through the shoulder high debris if I didn't!

I haven't even done the breakfast dishes yet today and I am shooting out for pick up in five minutes! I have been a lovely riverside walk with the dog though

Hi Carrots. Rather like yesterday's mission, I was chastened with how much dust was there, out of plain sight. Still, gone now.
I had a complete "duh" moment as well. I was using the dustbuster and thinking "this doesn't work like it used to, perhaps it's on the way out". And then realised I had never cleaned the filter. Doofus.
Needless to say, it's working just fine now...

Morning all!
I did my house blessing yesterday in my vest and pj bottoms - it was roasting.
Then we partied last night and I have a slightly sore head today
It is boiling again today so I am just doing the basics - giving myself a rest before another busy weekend.

Evening all!
I have more or less kept up with my routines this week but haven't done any missions. I also haven't done my house blessing this week so things are a bit dusty
How is the ironing going Long? I did mine on Monday but haven't done any since so there is quite a pile here too.
I can't see how most of it will be done before Monday either unless it pours with rain.
I like the fun thing to do after tea Dosey - I have been following the playing with the kids more thread and have been really enjoying it.

I did a ridiculous pile on Thursday. There's a big pile of washing which I ought to start putting in but I'm avoiding it so it doesn't turn into ironing, which is ridiculous
Yesterday I scrubbed the floor in the utility and the downstairs loo and then decided I needed a break so stopped. Need to do the kitchen today. Glad I didn't yesterday as DD threw her dinner everywhere last night so it would have been a waste of effort!
