Long is your back still sore? That has been a while now. Sad I hope the physio helps.

tilf Flylady is a motivational website that encourages you in small steps to get on top of all your household <a class="break-all" href="//jobs.flylady.net/pages/site_index.asp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">have a look here

Carrotsandcelery · 04/02/2011 20:53

Household jobs that was supposed to say Blush

SharonGless · 04/02/2011 21:50

Carrots thats a bugger about Ikea not delivering to your area. Are you in the north then? I can recommend them. Ds has two sets of the big shelving units in his bedroom and its great. I am going to print off pictures of what is in each box so they know what toys are inside.

Long hope the physio improves your back - good work with the fridge. I do mine every time we do a big shop now - the new routine Wink Bessite well done on the wardrobe thats a big achievement.

I know I said I was going to meal plan but I ended up clearing out under my bed! I started off there because I had seen a new recipe in a magazine which was under bed. Once I started clearing out though I just couldn't stop

Carrotsandcelery · 04/02/2011 22:05

Sharon great idea - clean out fridge before I go to supermarket - thank you!

The decluttering is getting addictive here too - once you start you go deeper and deeper.

Longtalljosie · 04/02/2011 22:13

I'm quite excited about the physio now, fed up with hobbling about!

My aim for the weekend is the front of the house...

dylsmum1998 · 05/02/2011 10:47

morning all, hope everyone is ok.

Have nosed through last too pages of posts but not going to try and read anymore.

I have been keeping up with my fly routines- just! but haven't even looked at missions etc for weeks. I haven't had a day off properly for a while so haven't made it on here.

Am going to try and do at least a couple of the missions next week. Might be easier as I'm only in 10-4 and its only have to do a 10 min drive to my placement I'm in next week. So hoping that will make life a little easier

Carrotsandcelery · 05/02/2011 16:04

Hi there dylsmum good to hear you are still flying.
I think we are all adapting and tweeking to suit our own lifestyles.
I haven't done much today - some laundry, cleaned fridge (thanks Sharon), the week's shopping, tidied and sorted all the shopping bags as they were a state and got the dcs to tidy up the car as I didn't get that done yesterday.
I still have a big mound on the kitchen table from my cupboard emptying and a similar debris in the study. I refuse to shove it all away though so it can sit there until I get there.
I am having a wee break as I have a yukky cough and cold and am not feeling excessively lively. Saturday is a manic day with ds activities so I don't aim to be too ambitious.
What is everyone else doing today?

bessie26 · 05/02/2011 16:10

I've done almost nothing today! We rush around until about 245, when I made some soup and put my feet up. Must go wake DD now though - am hoping she'll "help" me put some laundry away!

Dosey · 05/02/2011 17:48

hi all, we sound like we have adapted to flylady very well. I have just finished Kellys missions and feel very proud. Though I was horrified when I cleaned the light fittings and saw all the cobwebs and dust up there. I never look up there!!!!! I am looking forward to tomorrow a mission free day, just my routines to do which seem to come naturally and take no effort at all.

Have a good weekend xxx

Curlybrunette · 06/02/2011 20:28

Hi all,

I'm not sure i'm sticking to Kelly's missions but I am doing stuff everyday (that I wouldn't have done before) so I'm really pleased.

I did dust the curtain rail and light fitting in the play room (our dining room) yesterday and although it actually wasn't too bad I realised it could have been the first time I'd done it since we've lived here....5 1/2 years...Shock

You know the 15 minutes decluttering we're meant to do everyday, do you do it? I did a fair bit when I started and I don't think I would be able to actually find that much stuff to chuck/charity. Not 15 minutes everyday for a month. I tend to use the 15 minutes for cleaning jobs that I should have done more regularly. When I read the testimonials and see what some people do I am shocked at some of them and picture their houses must be completely full of stuff, everywhere.

Carrotsandcelery · 06/02/2011 20:48

Hi everyone,

Curly my house is/was completely full of stuff - soooooooo much stuff! Even after at least 15mins a day for a month there is a long way to go. You must have been more on top of things before we started than I was.

dylsmum1998 · 06/02/2011 21:58

Curly I don't do the 15 mins declutter a day. I don't have that much stuff. Although you are more productive than me with that 15 mins- I ignore it totally Blush

Carrotsandcelery · 06/02/2011 22:01
bessie26 · 06/02/2011 22:13

I reckon I could do 15min declutter every day for the rest of my life...

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 10:44

You are in good company bessie!

Morning everyone - what are you all up to today?

I have done most of my home blessing but struggling to summon the motivation to get the mop out. Can I mop around the furniture in the kitchen or do I have to move everything? It is trailing all 10 kitchen chairs into the hall and back again that is putting me off.

Otherwise I have cleaned both bathrooms, dusted both downstairs bedrooms, dusted the lounge, hall and kitchen, emptied the waste bins from the bathrooms, and cleaned the bathroom floors. Oh and I stripped our bed and put it in the wash - it is just beeping now that it is finished.

Kelly's mission is to clean out the bin. Ours isn't too bad as I did it recently but I will do it again.

I have empty cupboards in the kitchen after my craft consolidation mission, an empty kitchen desk and a clear kitchen table - Hurrah! Unfortunately I do have some more work to do in the study again though - not an insurmountable task though so I will get it done.

I also have about 30 things to iron - I have no idea how so much ironing popped up as I did it all last week. Confused Time for some dodgy tv I think to see me through it.

bessie26 · 07/02/2011 13:17

I've spent the morning trying to play with my very grizzly DD (she has a bad cold & teething) it ended up with a full-scale tantrum at lunchtime. All happy now & in bed napping, but I am exhausted & want to crawl back into bed with a bar of chocolate, but we don't have any in the house! Shock

Anyway, once I've gone back downstairs & tidied up the devastation from lunch I'll be doing my home blessing, prep up tea and sit down with a cup-of-tea to do 15mins somwhere.

carrots fly lady says you don't have to move furniture to do the vacuuming, so surely the same rule applies for mopping?

Am Envy at your empty kitchen drawers, but not the ironing! Grin hope you find something half decent to watch on tv!

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 13:52

Oh dear bessie - I feel sorry for you and your dd. I hope she is happier after her nap.

I watched a really icky CSI and got the ironing done with a few breaks. Phew!

I also cleaned the bin and lid. It is in a cupboard so I ended up cleaning the cupboard out too which I reckon counts as today's 15 mins declutter! Grin

I am now rewarding myself with a double decker before reconsidering mopping the kitchen. Grin

bessie26 · 07/02/2011 14:17

mmmmm thank-you! Grin

Poor DD is really snotty, I can hear her snoring from outside her bedroom door! (just like her mum! Blush)

I am just about to mop carrots, so I think you should too!

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 18:37

I haven't mopped yet and just as well as the dcs came home with very messy craft projects for school tomorrow and the kitchen is COVERED so for once my procrastination has paid off Grin

SilveryMoon · 07/02/2011 18:38

Hi all
Jut a quick question, then I will be back in a bit...............
I just wanted to check, are you all doing everything set out in babysteps, then the mission and the detailed cleaning???
Or just babysteps and mission?

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 18:44

I think I can probably answer that by asking, "What is the detailed mission?" Blush

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 18:45

Not the detailed mission, the detailed cleaning - it has been a looooong day! Blush Blush

SilveryMoon · 07/02/2011 18:49

Lol carrots
detailed cleaning lists

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 18:52

OMG

Carrotsandcelery · 07/02/2011 18:52

No I am not doing that!
