Victoria Falls - was stunning

turnupthebass · 14/06/2005 16:16

Stratford for a weekend in May - had had to wait 3 months before we could get away and it was really really lovely.

spykid · 14/06/2005 16:16

sandyballs · 14/06/2005 16:16

jessicasmummy · 14/06/2005 16:17

i would have been married nearly 2 years by the time i finally get mine - so romantic - BUTLINS IN AUGUST - woo hoo!!!

Gwenick · 14/06/2005 16:17

Perhaps should add though we were living in Zimbabwe at the time and got married in Zim, so going to Vic Falls was like going from Lands End - to John'o Groats (distance wise)

Titania · 14/06/2005 16:17

merglemergle · 14/06/2005 16:18

Maldives - an island called Thudufushi. Most beautiful place in the world! But be careful of the seasons. If you go earlier than October you will have rain. After the end of October it is a lot less wet.

QueenFlounce · 14/06/2005 16:27

Ditto Titania! Maybe if you hadn't bought 16 buggy's you could have a late honeymoon!

Even though we didn't go away we still managed to conceive dd 3 wks after the wedding.

Sicily then Rome for the last 3 days. Both were amazing. But we went in July, far too hot. I would recommend it b ut not in July or August.

expatinscotland · 14/06/2005 16:31

To Pitlochry, Perthshire. Absolutely gorgeous!

sparklymieow · 14/06/2005 16:31

Lizzylou · 14/06/2005 16:31

Marrakech for a week....wonderful, lots to do and see and warm.......exotic but not too far away.

WigWamBam · 14/06/2005 16:31

Venice (for the end of Carnivale), Florence and Rome.

HappyHuggy · 14/06/2005 16:33

I went to agadir in morrocco, the senery was beautiful

Tommy · 14/06/2005 16:34

We went to Granada, Spain for a few days and then onto Nirja on the coast. They were both gorgeous. Only had a week as I was teaching at the time and we did it in half term!

Furball · 14/06/2005 16:43

Crete for a couple of weeks, it was tied in with going to my friends wedding out there. (How practical of DH!)

Italy, for 2 weeks, touring round in a hired car. Fantastic people and places.

We flew to Pisa, then travelled round. Saw Lucca, San Gimigiano etc etc and then spent a few days in Rome.

Wonderful time.

triceratops · 14/06/2005 16:52

We went to Chateau D'Oex in Switzerland over christmas. It was very romantic, snow and log fires (I don't do heat, it makes me sick). My mother in law turned up half way through which was a bit of a surprise

RTKangaMummy · 14/06/2005 16:53

lilibet · 14/06/2005 16:53
