where did you go on your honeymoon?

cant decide where to book (see other thread st lucia/maldives) but now im thinking about other places and i suppose real life recommendations are better than magazine ones....

Boscastle in Cornwall. We were practically broke and booked a holiday cottage with our tiny savings - it was fabulous.

I got married on safari in Kenya, so obviously honeymooned there at same time. Was beautiful

st lucia. was fab, but expensive and two of the places we stayed were full of v young americans on honeymoon...

would go back. but i have been to tahiti, and that beats anywhere else on the romantic front hands down....absolutely wonderful, tho did it independently not in a resort... fabulous fabulous food and wine! and it is a beautiful beautiful series of islands....would highly recommend if you have the time and money! you could combine with NZ which is what we did....

A caravan site near Frejus in the South of France.

It was really lovely - not at all like I thought a caravan site would be. It's called La Domaine de la Legue des Pins.

Never have another one like that though unless we get rich soon.

2 nights in Singapore, 2 weeks in New Zealand and 5 days in Bora Bora. All of it was fab!

Have replied on your other thread already. I wouldn't advise Maldives or St Lucia in July/August though - it's about the worst time to go for both!

I think Seychelles (Lemuria resort at Praslin is supposed to be v good, though haven't been myself) or Kenya would be better at that time of year, or maybe even the Virgin Islands, in which case I'd recommend Peter Island .

Mauritius and we were treated like royalty. Beautiful beach, warm friendly people and lovelyn hotel. We intend to visit again on our 5 year anniversary if we can afford it.

We had 3 weeks in Hawaii (1 week, Lanaii, 1 week The Big Island, I week Kauaii), followed by 4 days in San Francisco.

We brought back a little Hawaian souvenir, who has just celebrated her 7th birthday

We went to Ireland, Killarney in County Kerry. We had a self-catering cottage overlooking the McKillyguddy Reeks (a mountain range, I've probably spelt it wrong)and it was wonderful. Wettest fortnight for 11 years, but hey, what's a bit of rain when you're in lurve

Zimbabwe - hi again Gwenick if you're still around - have you ever been to a place called Rukomechi - near Mana Pools? that was the highlight. it was fab. we went to Vic Falls too

Our Honeymoon was in Canada, but then we also got married there so it was all rolled into one, we also had dd1 with us as she was our flower girl.

Spent a week in Banff where we got married and the next week in Calgary. Scenery was fantastic I thoroughly recommend it.
