where did you go on your honeymoon?

cant decide where to book (see other thread st lucia/maldives) but now im thinking about other places and i suppose real life recommendations are better than magazine ones....

We also went to Switzerland but it was late Juen and blisteringly hot !

Verona - it was lovely. We stayed in a self catering aprtment so wandered round in the morning, came home for lunch, glass of wine and afternoon siesta and then went out again for an evening meal. So romantic...

Seychelles...

at Dinosaur, have been to some of those places individually but really want to go to Thailand and NZ....hey ho, off to MIL caravan in N Yorks tonight!!!!

10 days relaxing in the Isle of Man!

Janinlondon - we went to Makunudu in the Maldives. We were there in Sept and only had one rainfall - is that unusual?

We blew our honeymoon budget on a week in a 5 star beach resort in Antigua. It was amazing. Beautiful island, fantastic room, cocktails in the pool bar... {sigh}

We had 2 weeks touring round northern Italy on a motorbike with a tent & camped. It was the best holiday we ever had. We have also done the exotic 5* one which came a close second but Italy was best

Toured America.Las vegas,san francisco,grand canyon,yosemite monterey.It was breathtaking.

Another one for Verona here and then Lake Lugano ! Was lovely !

BLACKPOOL (thats a top floor self contained flat BTW) Still we had a lovely time and i spent most of my time in the bedroom............on my own.........READING whist DH sat in lounge watching sport!!!

India, though I won't recommend it as a honeymoon as people from different sexes dont touch each other in the street, and you may have the guide telling you you're disturbing the locals even by holding hands. Though, lovely place, no trip has been so interesting ever since.

But if going for a romantic spot, Kuoni does a combination of Bali and Ubud, for the beches you end up in a massive hotel that makes you wonder whether you are actually in Disneyland rather than Bali, but Ubud is a gem. We stayed at a hotel called The Chedi that cattered for every whim. We had little poems over the pillows everynight, breakfast in a lovely terrace overlooking the rice fields, baths in a bath full with rose petals, and they even served you tea in your room or a sorbet by the pool everyday at 5. Fresh flowers and fruits were placed in your room everyday, silk gowns, backpack, umbrellas, candles for the terrace for the night and bodyshop products in terracota pots were also part of the nice touches of the hotel (and we were only in a egular room). I personally loved the library, a full wall of interior design and architecture books. It was heaven!

We had a fortnight in Cornwall. And the surfboard didn't get wet once .

Thailand. Was AMAZING!

Watch out for seasons when you book places - don't go to Thailand in the rainy season - we caught the very tail end of it (two days!) and it was incredible to see, but not something I'd have wanted to be in for longer than two days!

We were there for the Loy Kratong festival which was beautiful.

Cuba, was fab fab fab! 6 years ago though....boo hoo

italy - was best holiday ever. we travelled from the north to the south stopping in fab places and ending up in sicily... we just went back to rome last month as we loved it so much there...

We stayed at The Summer House , a Vivat property in Shropshire.
It was totally romantic and secluded with wonderful views from the top of the tower. I'd love to go back on an anniversary.
