where did you go on your honeymoon?

cant decide where to book (see other thread st lucia/maldives) but now im thinking about other places and i suppose real life recommendations are better than magazine ones....

Ours was a Mark Warner holiday with DS 11 months at the time. Not quite the luxury honeymoon I've always dreamed about, we will have to take a second one later in life! But it was a good place to be at the time.

We got married in Siena - v romaaantic!

peanut - we went to Bora Bora too, plus a couple of other islands. Amazing, amazing place, although such a long flight. When I first said I wanted to go there, I didn't know where it was , thought it might be near the Caribbean or something . Still, totally worth the trip.

You can always tell when you're in a popular honeymoon destination as all the women there have just had French manicures.

We went to the Banyan Tree in the Seychelles - had our own villa right on the beach which was practically deserted. The hotel was FANTASTIC - without a doubt the best either of us have ever stayed in. There are only 32 villas, two fabulous restaurants and the service is out of this world. We loved it so much that, having just had a small windfall, we are blowing it on going back again this year. Whoopee!!!

We got married in November (98) and went here . I bet I am the only MN'r who had to buy a pair of wellies on her honeymoon (sooo romantic) because of snow!!!!

Let me see, first time was carribbean cruise and florida Disney. Second was Singapore, Bali and Indonesia. My third will be................. only joking!

We went to Kuala Lumpur,Penang and Hongkong,FAB!!!Last holiday like that as ds came on our 1st wedding anniversary(supposed to go to Bali but bomb put paid to that,and nearly didn't get Hong kong because of SARS)

We had two fabulous weeks in a remote farmhouse in Italy- glad everyone who went to Italy has equally good memories- it was the best holiday I have ever had. We just relaxed, did lots of talking and fell even more in love with each other. It made me realise how lucky I was to have married someone so great and to be honest we could have been anywhere, it doesn't really matter as long as you can get away from it all for a while and reflect on what a great thing you have done. How gushy am I?!!! even at 36 wks pg and the size of a house!
Happy honeymoon wherever you decide- may it be the start of an even better life together.
