The miserable weather is making me think of holidays! Where is the most beautiful place you've been to on holiday? Mine is a draw between Hoi An in Vietnam and the Alps in the summer. Oh to be back at either places...!

Lake bled Slovenia. Although my friend went recently and said it’s really tacky. I went 22 years and I thought I was in a fairytale, which given I was a horrible moody teenager is impressive

Yes, went there in about 1999. It was stunning. I have wondered if it's got a bit commercialised since. I'll soon find out as DDs going there in April.

The area around sacred Mount Koya, Japan.

Blue porcelain tiled roofs, paddy fields, bamboo forests, cherry blossom, white station cats, dense silent forests, little red arched bridges, a small town on top of the mountain, lined with monasteries, the frosty moonlit air scented with incense and woodsmoke, the sounds of bells, gongs, soft singing and chanting, Zen gardens, fire ceremonies at dawn.

When the sun sparkles off the sea on the West Strand in Portrush.

Or even when it's dark and moody.

Too many, I can't choose!

And East Strand, White Rocks, White Park Bay, Ballintoy "side" beach .... In the other direction Castlerock, Downhill, Benone strand - you could go to a different beach every day for a fortnight, and if you get the ferry across to Donegal - a hundred more stunning beaches and scenes.
