As of yesterday, I live in Perth, Australia, and will do till mid-December (and then hopefully again after Christmas!)

LIZS · 14/09/2005 11:30

Fio2 is correct - we've been back in UK for almost 6 weeks now but was in Switzerland as was JJ. There are still a few MNetters over there including Leogaela.

gingerbear · 14/09/2005 11:33

hello purpleturtle! How was the flight?

purpleturtle · 14/09/2005 11:39

Hi Gingerbear! Amazingly enough, the flight was fine! Singapore Airlines were great, although I wouldn't want to be a member of their cabin crew - they never stop! Kids sat quietly in front of Hi-5 for about 7 hours before sleeping for 4 or so - had to wake them to get through Singapore airport, but no real hanging around to do before getting on next plane - more Hi-5 then sleep. My kids are fantastic. It's official. And now that I've totally hijacked this thread, I announce my removal to the Meet-ups thread: Purpleturtle comes to Perth.

pinotgrigio · 15/09/2005 03:22

Me! I'm British but travel a lot with work. Since I joined mumsnet I've lived in Holland, Italy, Thailand, Germany, UK and now I'm in Australia (Sydney).

yawningmonster · 15/09/2005 03:53

Im in NZ.

jabberwocky · 15/09/2005 04:01

Me! I'm in the US - TN to be precise.

Bouj · 15/09/2005 05:06

I'm in Australia, too.

pinotgrigio · 15/09/2005 05:33

Purpleturtle .

I had the flight from hell with DD on the HK to Sydney leg of my trip from the UK. HELL I tell you.

Then a week of no sleep courtesy of her jet lag. I drugged her in the end.

Bouj - Where are you? Are you native or an expat?

Am off to optometrist now. Is there any difference between an optometrist and an optician?? Good job I'm clued up or I would have wasted days looking up opticians in the yellow pages.

Bet you eat some lovely seafood in Galicia, Pip! I've always wanted to explore that region.
