General healthy eating and exercise thread with aim of losing weight / shaping up. Aim to eat 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, and do more exercise. No bizarre diets please. Weigh in day is Monday (you don't have to weigh in but we will punish you by with-holding stickers). Diet coke will be frowned upon.

Are you treating your nipple cracks Fra? The trick is to keep them constantly moist with nipple cream/balm and not to let them dry out. If they dry out the cracks get worse.

Dreading a feed is awful isn't it? I hope they get better soon.

Lol at want some cheese in my hand He knows what he wants doesn't he?! ha ha

CoupleofKooks · 06/07/2010 21:22

yes yes i know you aren't deadheading in a linen dress, but is it AEROBIC or is it always STRENGTH stuff eg humping and digging
i was going to suggest you do some running / fast cycling / dancing / etc if you always do strength stuff
in fact anything different to what you already do, will sort of shock your body and zizz up your metabolism a bit hopefully
but no of course you can't move all those tonnes and not be getting very toned
i bet your bottom is looking even better

mmm scones

You haven't got thrush so you don't have to keep them dry. Honestly, google moist healing and you will see that it's the way to go.

Think of a dried out and cracked riverbed. If it gets hotter and drier the furrows and cracks get bigger, however when it gets wet again the cracks heal.

Oh and the reason why I came on here is to say that someone commented today that I had lost weight. RESULT! This is the first time someone has said anything to me except dh

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 07/07/2010 13:24

Oh yes, and what is hazelnut butter? It sounds like I would like it.

CoupleofKooks · 07/07/2010 17:57

i bloody have got thrush

avi you could run while ds rode his bike
you could run up and down the stairs a la MrsC
you could do an exercise video while ds was asleep

i can HEAR your lip curling from here

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 07/07/2010 18:46

Oh sorry I thought the problem was a bad latch rather than thrush

Or, do you think the thrush got into the cracks caused by the bad latch and went on the rampage?

lemon curd on toast
banana
hummus, falafel and rocket wrap, cucumber sticks, olives and grapes.
Homemade lasagne with salad (rocket, radishes, toms & cucumber)

Probably about 11 portions.

CoupleofKooks · 07/07/2010 18:55

oh lemur it's not you
i have no idea what is going on
i have got thrush of the fanny despite having taken huge amounts of those pills and whacked cream on and everything
i don't know if there was thrush in my nipples or not
the latch was DEFINITELY a problem and i think maybe thrush as well
i think yes it has been having a party in the cracks
but that seems a load better

my tedious health problems are getting too much air time on the thread sorry

everyone come and suggest exercise ideas for avi to not like

Right, ok. I now understand the thrush goings-on

I think the thing with thrush is you have to find out what it is that works for you wrt treatment. All and sundry can tell you what works for them, but you need to find what works for you - which is a pita.

I nearly fainted at the price of the hazelnut butter! I looked at the other butters as well and they look divine.

I've just eaten a shit load of cherries, but they were sweet and juicy, yum yum.

I've also just made a batch of apricot and almond cookies for a cake sale tomorrow. I hate taking cakes as I always worry that mine are going to be the last to sell, or worse they don't sell at all!

Avi = Holland and Barrett are selling those nut butters at buy one get one half price at the mo. I went in there today and saw them all on the shelf. I couldn't decide which one to buy, so I left empty handed!

By 'eck the caramel slice was DIVINE. It was in the cake sale at Toddler group and it was homemade. I bought a slice of the choc fudge cake home for dh and it's been eyeing me up ALL day.

CoupleofKooks · 08/07/2010 20:57

grapes, cherries = 2
