Some Veggers Are Bigger Than Others - 10/10 porkers thread

General healthy eating and exercise thread with aim of losing weight / shaping up. Aim to eat 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, and do more exercise. No bizarre diets please. Weigh in day is Monday (you don't have to weigh in but we will punish you by with-holding stickers). Diet coke will be frowned upon.

No time for exercise tonight. Need to bake cupcakes for pre-school funday in the morning!

Warm water and lemon. Weetabix, apple.
Salad, 3 bits of cheese spread sandwich that the children didn't finish (about 1 quarter on brown bread) bite of cheese.
Ice cream. (Only had a small one.)
Coffee, 3 biscuits, snickers (not good but I bought it on Sunday and resisted til now!)
Lasagne, salad.

i have never had a subway, are they nice? the shop smells so bad

the frozen risotto was what we had for lunch! we went to a new park which Just Happened to be round the corner from waitrose
i think it's nice, and so bloody quick to have in the freezer
i haven't tried the frozen pasta one, that seemed a bit lazy even for me, but i may go for it next time
i don't find it hard to bung some pasta on, but the risotto cooks in 6 mins so it is for days when you have stayed out too late and need something on the table FAST before everyone collapses

fan fiction is erm a bit embarrassing
it's when there are popular characters in a book or series or whatever, eg dr who, and people who are big fans of the series write their own stories about the characters
and other people read them
they are usually smutty and / or romantic
it's often awful shite but some of it is excellent
there are whole genres eg slash which means a sexual story about a relationship between 2 male characters

i defy anyone not to find it at least a little bit intriguing and it is amazingly popular, with all kinds of people
but it feels terribly teenage

i am knackered
i spent half the night fretting about our grumpy neighbour who has basically been bullying the children when they play out the front
ds1 has been coping with it really well but i hate it and i want to confront him about it, but am scared it will make it worse
then at 6 am ds2 woke me up to tell me "Doggies can talk"
i ignored him for as long as humanly possible while he said more and more insistently "Doggies. Can. TALK"
eventually i gave in and asked him what they said and he said "Omelette."

i have given birth to two loons. i give up.

the midweek 2 lb loss is here again
going to try to make it last till monday this time

DS2 is hilarious! I love the things they come out with. I can't believe his speech though, it's amazing. We get lots of single words from ds, sometimes two together, but mostly it's gibberish! Being at home with you and ds1 has obviously been a real plus for him.

often badly written smut, but there's so much of it out there thanks to the internet, that there really is something for everyone

Am off out to Boog Group tonight. The book was High Fidelity and I read it again even though I read years ago. I hated it as much the second time tbh!

oh i liked a lot of things about high fidelity, but i am not sure i would enjoy it now

oh dear @ all the butter and cheese
we are very short on food, the fruit bowl is nearly empty and the fridge also (hence cleaning it, it seemed stupid not to)
