Hi, I'm Bella

I am 5ft nothing and need to lose a few pounds to get back to my normal weight of around 8st 3lb.

OP posts:
bellavita · 04/05/2010 19:01

Talk about what

Vinny - well at least you were honest with him.

OP posts:
TotalChaos · 04/05/2010 19:02

SAF - when DS was seen at 2 by opthalmology it was all arranged via HV, but took a couple of months to get an appointment. So I would speak to opticians first, to see if they will see him as that will be loads quicker, and if not, go down HV/GP route.

If it's any reassurance - I managed to guess my way out of a squint eye test at 5, and am a couple of points off having a lazy eye (my eyes don't quite focus properly, but aren't bad enough to warrant doing anything) - so these sort of things aren't always a problem in life iyswim even if they ahem manage to escape treatment!

Shiney - rePOP - I had irregular bleeding for about a year on Cerazette - say 2 weeks light bleeding, then 2 months with nothing etc- and then periods stopped completely after a year - YAY!

hellsbelles · 04/05/2010 19:16

Shiney - I'm absolutely gutted for you - that is so horrible and upsetting. But no more bad things now for quite some time, I'm quite sure...they've all been got over with in one day.

You did make me smile though with your description of superstar Ted and his indoor sunglasses habit! Yank do you think you persuade little yank to wear sunglasses at nursery - might work

SAF - sorry no clue on that - would think it's worth drs/health visitor referral just to be safe.

Bitter - I think you can call yourself a Pariah with pride now

Boring day here...put loads of Hedrin on my hair last night for the journey home (nit treatment) forgetting that it stays light for so long so kept getting funny looks in the car all the way home (people wondering who the hideous greasy haired woman was)....

Lucky enough to go to the hairdressers after work but spent the whole time in a state of fear in case I'd missed any lice/nits and he found one and threw me out of the salon. All was well (apart from incredible bouffant blow dry - DS was ashamed to be seen with me )

Glad to hear you still sounding your positive (albeit peed off) self Shiney . I hope you (and Yank) find some bugger insurance company who will pay up. We had Travel Insurance, European Breakdown Insurance and Car Insurance and not one of the feckers will pay anything to help you get home when stranded. Apparently. . Just waiting for the car insurance peeps to find some bloody loophole for not paying up......

Vinny and for your dressing down. Always dreaded it at work! Glad you used your charms to move things along swiftly

Fairy, sorry i think i missed saying hello. HELLO!!!!!! My 4 stone loss was achieved through logging foodfocus religiously and exercising 4 times a week (30mins+). Bloody hard work but worth it. Good luck and well done on starting with the Wii fit

SAF, i think i would go to a local (friendly) optician and ask for advice on getting the most speedy treatment without paying ££££££

Re pills, i was on Cerazette for about 8 years. No periods ever , however there are some scary threads on here about side effects people have experienced

Just had jacket spud with cottage cheese and beans. Very yummy but there is still a space to fill. Yoghurt me thinks

MyCatIsABastard · 04/05/2010 20:14

OH FFS I just typed a really long post and pressed the wrong frigging button and lost it.

Here goes again in a much shortened version coz cannot be arsed to type again:

Shiney - what an arse of a day! Hope they catch someone.

Hairy - I started out as BMI of 38, I'm 5ft 7in and weighed 17st 5lb. I'm not 12st 12lb and BMI of 28. You'll be surprised how good you will feel after losing just 1 stone. I'm aiming for BMI of 25, which will be 11st 5lb. Don't put too much pressure on and just aim at 7-10lb at a time. Good luck

Crispy, hope the ins gits pay up

Yank - poor little chap, hopes he gets better soon. PS, Just realised I forgot to send the clothes for your DS. So sorry. will search them out and send them.

Everyone else, hope your having a lovely evening.

Evening!

Shiney, what a rotten day. Hope it's better now.

Oh Yank, poor mini-Yank, that looks really gross and uncomfortable for him.

Hope the insurance gods can smile down on you all a little more favourably.

I managed to dig 3ftX2ft section of vegplot earlier, couldn't manage anymore due to this cold. I feel crap, but I want to get on!

Good news though, DS had his feed before bath tonight, and though he did ask as I was putting him in his bag, I reminded him he'd already had booby and it was no problem at all.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 04/05/2010 21:04

A quick hello and goodnight...

I am now a rag doll with the muscles of a jelly fish......

Shiney....crap crap crap for you...

Sorry for poorly LO's..

I am dead on my feet so will try to catch up a bit on the morning.

Slithers to bed........

wastingaway · 04/05/2010 21:06

Are you a jelly snake?

MyCatIsABastard · 04/05/2010 21:07

I'm off for the night now everyone, so have a good night and CLAUDIA if your about and reading this, please come back and Good Morning too you

Gigantaur · 04/05/2010 21:16

just popped on to say hello to you all.

Had a quick flick through but not really caught up properly. don't think i ever do, you lot talk so much

Shiney i saw you were 38 and i am in total shock! I wouldn't have put you a day over 27. honestly!
sorry you have had a such a shitty time of it. You are taking it far better than i would have.

hello to everyone else. very glad i missed all the TDWP stuff. sounds like it was a rather nasty overblown affair all round. hope no one was seriously upset over it all.

YanknCock · 04/05/2010 21:25

MyCat, really no worries about the clothes! Whenever you have time, I'm just happy to receive them.

VT--oops on getting pulled up at work. I can't even get on MN, every bloody thing is blocked by the stupid filter. It's the most locked down place I've ever worked. Glad you won the guy over in the end.

hells, Shiney, I like the sunglasses idea. DS has a pair, he looks very sporty in them! I think I've got a pic of him in them, will post on profile since it's very bad that the latest pic of him since age 3 months is one with grotty eyes!

Crispy, sorry you are dealing with insurance woes as well, can't believe they are giving you such a hard time.

He's had 3 doses of antibiotics and it seems like the rate of crap coming out of his eyes and nose has slowed down, but perhaps just wishful thinking.

Have worked out it will take 2 hours each way to go to work tomorrow. Just like being back in fucking London. Arse. Hope this locking nut key thing turns up soon. For £46 I expect it to be gold plated as well.

YanknCock · 04/05/2010 21:42

ok, go on profile and have a look at my bling baby. I was selling the necklace on ebay as it had been bought for fancy dress for XH and never worn.

Lizzylou · 04/05/2010 21:47

Yay for DEM >

I have been chatting to Shiney, do you know she kept me on that phone for an hour

OP posts:
wastingaway · 04/05/2010 21:55

Yay, glitter!

Yank that's so awesome.

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/05/2010 22:07

You'll be cursing tomo when you stand up and sprinkle glitter everywhere despite having showered, hair washed and changed clothes
