Please can someone help me. Im in so much pain and I dont know what to do.

I have had horrible pains all day..... they feel like periiod pains. As the day has progressed they have been getting worse and worse.

Nurofen isnt touching it. Im totally exhausted by it and just want to sleep. Im sat here crying because I dont know what to do. I took painkillers nearly an hour ago anf they just arent working and I just want to sleep.

blimey i am a bit at how this has developed too - i had abdo pains a month or so back and first thing they did was poke about every orrifice and scan to rule out eptopic and appendicituis also even though i insisted there was no chance of a pg. How it varies. Hope your feeling better soon spooky x

hope your ok sc ,thinking of you im a yorkshire lass ,but was in somerset 2.5 years ago we bad chest pains got took to musgrove ,i found them ok ,was a bloody pie id eaten from a shop at clakes village in street !!

Looking forward to hearing word that she's out of surgery and doing well (all things considered).

I hope they really look after you when you are the gynae ward SC,and make sure YOU ask for pain relief-don't suffer eh.

Just catching up on thread. As with everyone else I am at Charlotte's struggle and very sad that it has turned out to be an EP.

I really hope that she has a speedy recovery and feels able to accept any help she is offered.

happy to contribute to flowers, but seeing as there are a few says this would it be worth saying £20 in flowers and the rest towards some yummy food to help with recorperation using an online shop

She's out of surgery, feels horrendous, in a lot of pain, having trouble breathin (sic)

Poor SC.

But at least she's alive. Hope they give her some serious painkillers and look after her.

have asked her if she's been given/asked for something strong the the paracetamol they gave her the other day.

We need to get this thread moved so SC can print it off and send to the NHS complaints dept. It gives a timeline of events AND also shows how some normal women on an Internet forum could diagnose a life threatening illness when several GPs and hospital Drs could not. Time for some retraining I think!

i think lewisfan is a great idea, largely because i know you have organised funds before with great success. i know from your post, flier, that you'll take no offence at that, and thank you for your super-king offer of help. it is shattering to think of what might have been, isn't it?

Or use the money to pay a cleaner for a month if Charlotte would like that. She is not going to be in any state to do housework for some time.

toccata, tell her sister to go and buy peppermint oil, or if no chemist nearby some peppermint tea. the post-op pain is horrendous, because they literally blow up your abdomen to get a look around, and then that gas is still stuck in there once you're sewn back up. the pain is tremendous, but warm water with a few drops of peppermint oil does help to disperse it.

Will try and figure out which of her sisters on FB to send the message to about the peppermint oil - might be best waiting until I've "spoken" to SC again via text to make sure I get the right family member.........having issues with my own family members right now I wouldn't want to put my foot in it by contacting the wrong one iykwim.

pixie was the one in hospital with her I think; she put photos of spooky in her gown on FB this afternoon... but best to check

You lot ought to be very very proud of yourselves, this could have been so much worse if it hadn't been for you lot. Just a shame she had to rely on strangers on a forum instead of the qualified 'professionals'. MN makes me so proud sometimes. Pity this one won't make the papers, eh?
