Happy to contribute for some flowers.

schroeder · 21/04/2010 17:14

Poor spooky you are in my thoughts.

queenoftheslatterns · 21/04/2010 17:15

aitch, i had a post-salpingectomy laparotomy and the recovery was horrendous, but it was extremely frightening too. as you said, its an all out attempt to save your life. thank god for mn and all those who pestered her to keep on at the docs, you should all feel very proud. you save (another) life.

wubblybubbly · 21/04/2010 17:22

Would like to contribute too.

Thinking of you Charlotte, can't believe you've had to go through this much crap to get there. Well done you for sticking to your guns and well done MN for being there to help you through this. Tears in my eyes thinking about what you've had to go through Charlotte.

toccatanfudge · 21/04/2010 17:24

ahhh - see you've all got the update - got a text from her at 4.10 to say what you already know.

Perhaps we could keep this thread for Charlotte to read when she comes out of hospital and start another one in Site Stuff with ideas for a campaign?

Aitch
You are good at this kind of thing, could you start one?

Flowers are a lovely idea. Count me in.

OmicronPersei8 · 21/04/2010 17:41

I'd like to contribute to flowers too. You're in my thoughts Charlotte, I hope the op goes ok and you've got lots of support to help you through your recovery.

I'm still just so shocked that only a few posts in at the beginning of this thread Aitch and others were saying classic ep, get a scan, and yet it's taken until today. No on should be sent dismissed the way you were Charlotte. So and for you.

AuntieMaggie · 21/04/2010 17:43

Bristol hospitals aren't that bad - either that or I've been lucky all the times I've stayed in them!

ADuckCalledBill · 21/04/2010 17:45

ooh never stayed at frenchay must admit, but southmead and the BRI loads.... apparenlty I've had more MRI's than anyone else my specialist knows

ant3nna · 21/04/2010 17:50

I've been following this and my thoughts are with you Charlotte. DP thinks I've gone mad as I've been ranting about your care all day, I can't believe that it took strangers on the internet to diagnose an EP when you had classic symptoms.

Flowers are a great idea and I'd be happy to contribute if someone wants to set something up.

SawneyBeane · 21/04/2010 17:52

Hope you're feeling better soon.
x.

queenoftheslatterns · 21/04/2010 17:52

IMoveTheStars · 21/04/2010 17:53

Shame you didn't catch the thread earlier Riven, I've got the feeling you would have gone in, guns blazing

I;ve been following both this thread and also spooky on FB and would be happy to both contribute and be the organiser of the sending of flowers, although I probably am not "known" to a lot of posters here, as not a particular;ly regular poster on MN anymore, I've been on here for a while.

People may, however, be happier to send money to others more well known

MaryBS · 21/04/2010 18:04

Bit late on this, but praying for you Charlotte - can't believe what you've had to go through!

FessaEst · 21/04/2010 18:12

Am so sorry that it has turned out to be an ectopic - it is a hard journey. Thinking of you SC and so glad you are at last getting the care you needed from the beginning x

ilovemydogandmrobama · 21/04/2010 18:13

Spooky -- hope you start to feel better soon . Be sure and get note from consultant to extend dissertation

Just as a matter of interest, are investigations launched independently or does one need to be requested? From her calling NHS Direct and they thought 'dodgy tummy' to her first visit to hospital, and crap GP and then being told it was emphatically not an ectopic.
