I have had horrible pains all day..... they feel like periiod pains. As the day has progressed they have been getting worse and worse.

Nurofen isnt touching it. Im totally exhausted by it and just want to sleep. Im sat here crying because I dont know what to do. I took painkillers nearly an hour ago anf they just arent working and I just want to sleep.

but the dr quite clearly doesnt belive me.

I thought I was stupid when dp made me go to dr when I had pulled muscle pain in back when pregnant. Turned out I had a blood clot on my lung - usually fatal (70% i think) if left untreated. I still have to have injections every day now.

So - go to the hospital as quick as. You're not stupid, you're scared and in pain. Fingers crossed for you x

think exp might kick up a fuss. he is just sorting somoene to cover his next few fairs at work so he can take me and stay for a bit.

Tell them that you strongly suspect it's EP and that you will not leave til they scan you.

Just saw this thread - very on your behalf with the hospital for making you fel stupid - there is clearly something wrong, they should be investigating it. Besides that, it's not at all professional to make you feel like that.
Really hope you get it sorted and on the mend soon.

it's really not hysterical to need emergency re-assessment with your positive pregnancy test and your symptoms.

A scan won't be a major problem for them - they can arrange that very easily. PLEASE don't go in there 'not wanting to make a fuss' or worried they'll think you're being silly. You are in a potentially very serious condition and they haven't followed protocol. Tell them how worried you are about EP and don't let them fob you off without a scan.

Remember you are right to ask for help. We are so lucky to have the NHS, it is there for exactly this kind of situation, don't let anyone put you off.

Spooky charlotte, gald you're going and utterly shocked at how you have been fobbed off. I am praying that it is nothing and that you don't have an EP - as someone else said earlier, I would rather look stupid than be dead. Good luck.

Just seen this thread and wanted to wish you the best of luck Spooky - please don't let them fob you off. The EPU tucked round the back of Southmead scanned me for my MC but if you are already in touch with the ward then they can fast track you.
