x-posted with Lulumaam. Made up my mind. Call an ambulance. Better safe than sorry.

norksinmywaistband · 20/04/2010 14:24

i would agree emergency ambulance if no transport.

poshwellies · 20/04/2010 14:26

Agree with A&E

I had a ectopic that didn't show up on a internal scan, had some shoulder pain but mainly felt sick and heavy off and on bleeding.I was 9 weeks.

You need to stay in and be observed, and if you don't have a ectopic ,surely a d&c would be better?

Good luck and hope you are feeling much better soon

MiniMarmite · 20/04/2010 14:27

Hi SC please make sure they scan you.

I was referred to EPU at 5+6 with quite mild pain and the EPU doc was annoyed with my GP that he had not referred me when I initially saw him at 4+6 with the same pain.

In her view any pregnant woman presenting with pain, however early in the pregnancy, should be scanned as a matter of priority due to the potentially life-threatening nature of EP.

I can't believe they didn't do it yesterday - it would take them 5 minutes, I'm really shocked that you have been treated like this.

Take care x

Hey- I have lurked for ages and feel like I must post. Keep going SP- and also I work in a uni and regulary proof read students essays, so give me a shout if I can help.

YesYouMust · 20/04/2010 14:31

you must call

you are sick, faint, bleeding and in pain ! i cannot believe this is happening to you

am angry on your behalf

and i would rather stamp my feet and be though a bit of a tit and get treated than quietly sit at home ,possibly bleeding to death internally

ring them

JustAnotherManicMummy · 20/04/2010 14:31

Charlotte are you ok?

I'm imagining all sorts now.

StealthPolarBear · 20/04/2010 14:31

another one here saying call an ambulance

spookycharlotte121 · 20/04/2010 14:33

The doctor isnt there so someone has gone to find her to get her to call me back.

spookycharlotte121 · 20/04/2010 14:35

theres no point in an ambulance. I am literally next door to the hospital. If need be I could walk although im sure exp will drive me. Just waainning for the dr to call me bk.

JustAnotherManicMummy · 20/04/2010 14:35

Charlotte it's been nearly 20 mins since you last posted. Can you let us know you're ok?

Humania · 20/04/2010 14:36

just go next door to a&e right now - the doctor won't be able to do anything over the phone

JustAnotherManicMummy · 20/04/2010 14:36

x-posted.

I would not wait for the doctor to call you back. You need to get to A&E now.

blinks · 20/04/2010 14:37

if you have exp with transport, he needs to take you now.

don't piss around. seriously. you have worsening symptoms so it's important to get re-assessed urgently.

blinks · 20/04/2010 14:38

is exp there right now?

toccatanfudge · 20/04/2010 14:42

blinks - no he's not - am talking to her on FB chat at the moment - she's waiting for him to arrive - trying to persaude her to just call

spookycharlotte121 · 20/04/2010 14:45

they made me feel a bit stupid but said if I felt that uncomfortable that I should go back. I feel stupid now.

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 20/04/2010 14:45

well go NOW then (but check your last FB chat message from me before you go and jot down the number).

poshwellies · 20/04/2010 14:46

JUST GO!

don't worry about being 'daft'-it's your body, you know when something isn't right for you,not the GP.

GO ASAP

blinks · 20/04/2010 14:46

how far away is he? is he on his way?

if you phoned us at nhs24 with those symptoms you'd be sent straight to A&E.

it's important in case it ruptures.this can often end in collapsing.

JustAnotherManicMummy · 20/04/2010 14:47

Better to feel a bit stupid then to leave two children without their mother.

If it helps, I am telling you to go. So if it (hopefully) is nothing dangerous you can blame me. I can take it.

blinks · 20/04/2010 14:47

you really have to put all the emotional stuff to one side now. it's not a popularity competition- it's very important that you get properly examined or you could die.

YesYouMust · 20/04/2010 14:48

Charlotte I was made to feel stupid at the hospital, turns out i was right and they were wrong, if i'd listened to them i'd be dead.

If it had been the other way round i know i'd rather look stupid than be dead.
