Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

there is better viewing material about, agreed.

And the issue of slips? Sorry but need a mans opinion on this.

TrillianAstra · 14/04/2010 20:55

at Bella and awwww at Mitts's DD, calm and graceful sounds wonderful, exactly the opposite of anything I have ever been.

Ladies, we are cutting it fine, but a new thread awaits you here

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 21:07

Did you Sazz? I always say I would love to take the boys to Marrakech, think it would blow their mind, soo much activity and hustle and bustle.
And the goats up trees on the way to Essouria!
How was it with a child?

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 21:08

Jet, I think you may be able to guess.

Pubes, top lip....

jetcat · 14/04/2010 21:11

lizzy - i cant possibly guess as to what you are alluding to - i am a quiet shy girl dont ya know

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 21:12

Yeah, right!

How is the cycling/jogging going Jet?
I have been doing that 30 day shred DVD, bloody hell she is a hard taskmaster, but it's OK.

hellsbelles · 14/04/2010 21:13

slip with jeans - my favourite outfit!

Mitts - that is such a lovely thing for DD to say.

Just watched yet another episode of 24 but my exhausted brain can't keep up so may have to sleep soon.

There is something beeping in my house. What is it...can somebody please please find it and shut it up for me.

Sorry if this is totally out of sync, am trying to catch up

Five - not sure whether I envy you or not... the house sounds fabulous, as does the lifestyle of having lots of time for dcs, but I am so rubbish with strangers I just couldn't cope with people in my house. I don't even like friends coming round unless its been arranged. I used to have a friend that 'dropped by'[shudder] just have a weird phobia about it

Vinny - my parents are exactly the same, my dad calls me 'fattie' constantly. Also he'll say things like 'of cCOURSE SHE wants a second helping', or 'OBVIOUSLY SHE'LL have cream with it, the fattie' etc. Seems to be joking and I always laugh, but it destroys your self esteem.

Bitter - glad you got through it okay, was thinking of you. BTW Whats a shred??

Everyone who cares about the velocity of come - she has bum length hair !! :D

jetcat · 14/04/2010 21:18

is more of a fast walk with an occasional slow jog lizzy, thanks for asking. Still doing it every day, which is a good job, as have been fairly slack on the food front

am off to blackpool monday to friday next week (if anyone is in the area, feel free to pop by) and am really hoping to avoid the fish and chips on the sea front

Blackpool, cool!
Have many happy memories of Blackpool as a child, then as a girlie piss up venue!
You sort of have to have fish and chips at the seaside, Jet, it's the law I think. Good for you on the exercise.

Sazz, that sounds amazing, we stayed at a hotel as we didn't book early enough and it was French school holidays when we went. I still loved it though, we went to the beach resort Essaouria, which was lovely, so would do that with the boys I think.
First stop, Borneo though. Oh yes, I will get there.

Defluff, the pics of your park day out were lovely.

i think i may have the fish and no chips - that cant be too bad I have never actually been on a piss up there, but legend has it it is quite good!

Hells - i cant help with the beeper, we have one here. I think it must be one of mini's toys as it is burried at the back of the cupboard i think, but at 2.14 am when it beeps very loudly, it is very very annoying!

holiday sounds lovely sazz

i forgot to say earlier - i solved the bed dilemma for junior. I bought a very nearly new one of these from ebay with a practically brand new mattress for £56. I cant remember who instructed me in the art of ebay buying when i was buying my sofa, and told me to bid in the last few seconds (trills or vinny i think) but i won it in the last 2 seconds

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 21:34

The link doesn't work, Sazz, but I am already jealous.
I tried sooo hard to get us into a Riad type affair and it just didn't happen, though we did eat in them at night. I loved it as everyone spoke French so I did my A-Level French speaking and felt all exotic, also learned to love aubergine and we were interviewed by Radio 4 whilst having a meal overlooking the main square (the snakey one).
It was sooo fab.
We went in October, late October, so it was just a pleasant heat.
