Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

I am watching My Super Sweet Sixteen, I hate it and love it in equal measures.
It is certainly fab for highlighting why kids should NT be spoilt. The brattishness and utter ostentatious crap make me want to hurl.

I have already seen that Electric Dreams, BOF, I think. Me and DH watched all of them, if they are the same ones.

hellsbelles · 14/04/2010 19:57

I shall most certainly not be kissing Lizzy after hearing about her new taste sensation...she smells of fish and cheese

TotalChaos · 14/04/2010 20:05

Hi Jet, sorry you have been having a rough time lately. Thank you btw for that nice post you did on a thread a week or so ago.

alice -blame the hormones!

lizzy - added your page on fb and checked out the website - may even need the firm's services later on in my 5 year plan - suspect there's not much demand for a 2 years PQE who has been out of the game for 6 years (so effectively needs retraining) and wants part time hours to fit round school in this econ climate!!!!

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 20:20

Total, I would be happy to help you out, strictly as a favour, firms aren't paying if they canget away with it at the moment, so wouldn't want to jeopardise you by sending you out as our candidate iyswim. What is your area???

Hells, it's true, I stink of fish and garlicy cheese. YUM!

TotalChaos · 14/04/2010 20:27

thank you for the very kind offer lizzy, I don't really need career help at the moment, it's more a future consideration iyswim (my low pay/low stress pt admin job may well not exist in 5 years time)! to make things even erm easier for myself, I would strong prefer a PSL role to fee-earning(!) so I suspect the perfect job for me is up in the air with the flying pigs right now!!!

TotalChaos · 14/04/2010 20:29

ps - my previous role was a rag bag of litigation - mixture of commercial and defendant insurance PI. which was part of the reason I left after mat leave - I just couldn't get up enough confidence not having a specialism iyswim.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 14/04/2010 20:31

DD has just called me calm and graceful (she is 7). It has bought a tear to my eye.....

DidEinsteinsMum · 14/04/2010 20:33

its quiet tonight. Want to start a book on shiney's activities?

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 20:34

Aww, Mitts, what lovely things for a young girl to say

Total, honestly, you'd be surprised at the PSL/Support roles on offer. Def Insurance and Commercial is good, if you'd said conveyancing the future would be a little more undecided!
Truly, have no qualms about helping you with CV/contacts to send to.

JuJusDad · 14/04/2010 20:38

DEM - what activities?

TotalChaos · 14/04/2010 20:41

mitts - aw bless her!

lizzy - thanks for the offer. will pluck up the courage to e-mail you soon.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 14/04/2010 20:42

Well..she did a thread earlier in the year wanting to do things she had never tried to do before to challenge herself....

Has he had his nose put out of joint Shiney?

DidEinsteinsMum · 14/04/2010 20:46

Do you have a view on the new thread mascot or are you just keeping an eye on the gossip?

In which case slips, sexy or old?

DidEinsteinsMum · 14/04/2010 20:48

Your probably right shiney, they tend to be nice when they want something. Hope it isnt too serious. Perhaps just a change in contact weekends?

I think the pic of his Wogan-ness is just beyond words.

I can see the appeal of the new picture, but it doesn't do anything for me.

I think it is such a shock to find out that Terry is so well hung, whereas Roque is just a buff, fit young man good for leering at in a Yaaang Maaan way.

So, Jujusdad, how are you?

Shiney, sounds ominous.
