Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

Ummm, Borneo may be a no-go, unless Easyjet fly there and we take a tent

Think we may just decorate, yawn.

Blimey Shiney - a fear of flying as well as being hugged!! I learn something new about you just about every day >

Oh and bloody hell, I discovered in the depths of my handbag a bloody 300 point voucher for Boots for an over £35 spend - I spent £50 quid in there today , so I will just have to buy some more make up using DH's money now on Friday when he takes me out to lunch in town.

Just had a chicken dish from the ww site - chicken wrapped in proscuitto (sp) and basil leaves with roasted squash, shallots and vine tomatoes - was lush and only about 4 points.

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 18:34

I thought Borneo was near Majorca, Shiney, I fear not

Bella, that is a pain, but hey, start planning what your DH can buy you on Friday

I am a bit addicted to rollmops at the moment (eating sooo much fish and seafood whilst no DH to moan at me about the smell), Lidl do a big jar of them and they are gawjus.

Lizzy, I was having a big little hissy fit earlier on to Shiney... I went shopping this morning leaving DH sat in the chair with his laptop and I came home to find DH sat in the same position in the same chair with his laptop which annoyed me greatly... and I said to Shiney that I should have put the money for the jacket I bought through the joint account instead of me paying for it as comeuppence and payback - hence me saying I will need to buy something on Friday!

bellavita · 14/04/2010 18:56

I will be gentle

underactive thyroid can make you lose hair, don't know if overactive would have the reverse effect!

eveing all.

shiney - I am also v. hug averse - fine with DH and DS but not really with anyone else.

hellsbelles · 14/04/2010 19:10

...I am a bit too huggy.

Vinny I get hairy bits where I shouldn't. I suspect it's because of my Sicilian roots. Vinny I do recall hearing that thyroid can have some effect on hair growth

Tracey - sorry you had a bad night too....Sazz 17/27 very impressive!

Bella - I bet you look gorgeous in the jacket (and Shiney will not be able to resist hugging you

Lizzy - you didn't sound boasty at all - you were just telling us happy and good news.

So I'm slightly tipsy - we packed up work early and all went down to the pub but I had to behave as I had to come home at 6ish to put DC's to bed. And just one glass of wine and I'm a bit !!

bellavita · 14/04/2010 19:19

Hells, you have been ignoring my questions about what you bought last week!!!!!

BitOfFun · 14/04/2010 19:22

Evening all!

I'm watching Electric Dreams on BBC2- it's fab. Totally how I remember the seventies. Anyone watching?

bellavita · 14/04/2010 19:25

Hey BoF - how is dd doing after getting back from OZ with jet lag?

How are you, haven't spoke to you for ages. Did ya get my moby no off facebook? >

jetcat · 14/04/2010 19:28

Vinny - i have an underactive thyroid, and it definitely can cause hair loss, but as i also have PCOS which causes extra hair, i never know which symptom is with what (did that make sense??)

Mitts - the lady garden mix up was so funny

Hi by the way

Sorry for keep disappearing I may post in mental health in a while, as i am fairly struggling, but felt bad that you were worried enough to stalk me check up on me

Alicetheinvisible · 14/04/2010 19:31

Hey Jet

Today is a bit of a write off. Have been eating all day Must Try Harder.

Oh, and i have sent a message to Mamazon.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 14/04/2010 19:35

Well Jet... you definitely wouldn't want pubes on your top lip would you?

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 19:36

Is there anything we can help you with, Jet?
Lovely to see you.

I have a new taste sensation, rice cakes with Boursin light and smoked salmon, gawd it is goood.

Have no fear, my 1001 ways with fish will finish now as going up to see boys and DH tomorrow.

Hells, I miss that impromptu drinks after work thang.

I am very huggy/touchyfeely/liable to declare undying love after a few drinks as well.

Bet Shiney is quaking with fear

MitsubishiWarrioress · 14/04/2010 19:36

I should have kept that thought in my head.. sorry all, I am in a strange mood.....

Lizzylou · 14/04/2010 19:38

Mitts, I have answer just bursting to come out to that question

But I am not a Lubequeen so will sedately demur.

bellavita · 14/04/2010 19:40

Hey jet, great to see you back

hellsbelles · 14/04/2010 19:42

mitts

Bella - I promise to show you in June (sounds dodgy saying that doesn't it!) - got a lovely leather jacket and a pretty dress for me to wear at Mum's wedding.

Jet - hello

Alice - you are allowed to eat all day!

Lizzy - I miss the after work drinks thing too - and this didn't really count as one glass of wine and leaving at 5 to go home is not quite hardcore is it??!!

DidEinsteinsMum · 14/04/2010 19:43

I shall just hide in the corner and leave you the hug shiney feast thusmyselfbeingignoredfromthetouchyfeelystuff

Jet it is good to see you. If you ever feel you cat talk onhere you know you can poke or something and chat over on the over side.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 14/04/2010 19:44
