New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Evening ladies,

Had a bit of a day from hell with The Cub and Teeth!

Have found a way not to eat chocolate, only have a tin of Quality Street in the house. As it's Nestle I won't eat it! MIL bought it for Xmas and would rather cut off somebody else's thumb than hurt her.

I think my diet will start tomorrow as I've been out for lunch today

BitOfFun · 25/03/2010 19:45

Been out tutoring this afternoon and trying to get dd1 ready for her flights to OZ tomorrow- please send me good vibes that British airways wont cancel the Manchester-Heathrow fight

Shiney, I think you need a top that shows MUCH more boobage, sorry.

Goober · 25/03/2010 19:47

Have just made and eaten lentil soup. Twas lush. I ate it with none of the crusty ciabatta that family had.
Had a yogurt and that is that for another day, no more food after 6PM.
Love that jacket shiney.

Rollergirl1 · 25/03/2010 20:04

BoF: Ah, off to Oz? How lovely! Was wondering about a quick coffee meet-up over easter as in the area but Oz much more exciting!

HellsBelles: That was virtually my dinner last night. Although home-made mash, but with lots of butter and cream. My deference was that I only had 2 sausages instead of 3

Am actually quite pissed off with DH tonight and we currently stropping with each other. He is such a tit sometimes. I know it's nothing in the grand scheme of things but his attitude does rile me sometimes.

I was working from home today. DH had an appointment with the asthma clinic at 4pm, for which he really needs to go to as he has been suffering really badly lately. Anyway, he called me about 2ish and asked if I could look up the train times from Waterloo that would get him back in time for his doctors appointment. I gave him the time of a fast train that would get him in and agreed to pick him up to save him walking. I gave him the time of the train and said it might be a slightly different service than normal as was a faster train, so might not be his usual service/destination and he needed to check. Anyway, i left to go and pick him up. Was waiting outside the station when i got a phonecall from DH at the time I was meant to be picking him up, shouting and swearing at me telling me he'd got on the wrong train and was in Kingston! So he's going to miss his appointment. But apparently it is my fault that he got the wrong train cos I gave him the information! He then hung up on me (he often does that). I was very VERY angry with him. I called him back and he answered and then hung up. So i texted him saying something like "what kind of twat gets on a train and doesn't check that it goes to where you need it to". Anyway, the upshot of it is that he completely blames me for HIM GETTING ON THE WRONG TRAIN.

Is he an arse or wot??!

BitOfFun · 25/03/2010 20:07

Oh blimey . Hope he chills out!

It's just dd1 going to Oz, Rollergirl- on her own. Aged 13.

I like the jacket too - lovely colour as well.

Good day today. Sounds like a lot compared to come of yours but it's better than my usual diet of late:

Breakfast: porridge and fruit, marmite on 1 slice wholemeal bread (no butter)

Lunch: 4 plain low fat crackers (no butter), small piece of cheese, apple, grapes and some low fat yogurt

Dinner: tuna, tomatoes, mushrooms, wholewheat pasta

What to have for an evening snack though? Perhaps a bowl of cereal or a kiwi fruit? Hmm...

hells I laughed at your DS' potion!

Rollergirl1 · 25/03/2010 20:19

BoF; Wow. What an adventure for her. Is she excited? I am sure she will be fine. She is old enough to have her wits about her and ask for anything she needs. What a brave girl!

He will calm down and eventually see right. He doesn't like admitting that he's wrong or has fucked up in some way so likes to blame other people. He'll eventually apologise.

So, maybe you are after a spot of coffee/wine action?

hogshead · 25/03/2010 20:28

hello can i join this thread too please?

BitOfFun · 25/03/2010 20:31

Welcome hogshead! Of course you can join- I hope you are easily corruptible?

Rollerirl- we'll have to swap numbers on facebook, but i suspect I may be too fat and scabby to to want to meet anybody...but you might persuade me

hogshead · 25/03/2010 20:34

very corruptible!
i really need some support to shift some weight

Sazzles: Oh he is getting zero reaction. I am in the kitchen on the laptop and he is in the living room playing the stupid box. He keeps coming in on silly errands and I know he is testing the waters. I'm not that pissed off anymore but can't be bothered to tell him..

BoF: You have given me facebook details before but i couldn't fathom them (thinks must be a luddite). Remember we have the same size feet, which is an anomaly in itself! I'm sure you're not fat and scabby.

Rollergirl1 · 25/03/2010 21:01

How about something like Shiney?

BitOfFun · 25/03/2010 21:02

That top is just too high. Not tumbling tits- we don't want to aggravate the boner after all, but you definitely need to be able to see a hint of cleavage.
