New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

OP posts:
DidEinsteinsMum · 24/03/2010 23:24

Claudia - there is sometimes people about at really odd times. So jump on join in and someone will introduce the thread mascot later. Hows the weather with you?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 24/03/2010 23:28

Hi DEM, weather here is glorious. I fully expect to be burnt at the stake for saying this to you Poms but we've had the most fabulous summer and now are at the beginning of a wonderful warm autumn. Think clear blue skies, top temp of 30 degrees but cool nights and mornings.

TheLadyEvenstar · 24/03/2010 23:29

can i join please?

My aim is to lose about 2 stone in weight maybe a bit more if i have a bit of success.

RougeBinDippers · 24/03/2010 23:29

CS - Nights here are always really cool.

wastingaway · 24/03/2010 23:31

Ooh, fresh meat! Welcome newbs.

I'm wastingaway... allegedly.

Purplebuns · 24/03/2010 23:32

Initiation sounds scary! I will check in again tomorrow, I am going to bed. Nighty night!

Claudia

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 24/03/2010 23:33

Hello all, can I please join? I've been looking for your new threads, but every time they are on my radar you lot are on post six hundred or something.

I have lost two stone since having DD, then went back to my 'normal' diet. I've not put anything on since then, so I know if I just put the effort in and lose the flab, I can then go back to what's normal for me.

I only have to do it once, but that's what's so hard, I've never had to diet in my life.

HELP!

DidEinsteinsMum · 24/03/2010 23:34

Good job i like the cold we have had a fab winter with very little rain but lots of snow. So it has been not too dreadful. looking forward to proper daylight and lots of mischief in the summer.

Puts the coffee machine and goes for a shower in the vague hope that awake will happen. Have a good day folks!

ClaudiaSchiffer · 25/03/2010 06:20

Blimey you're up early.

bellavita · 25/03/2010 06:32

Morning

I am bella and have about 7lb to lose, have lost about 5 so far.

Feeling groggy this morning, I fell asleep before 10.30pm last night.

I think it was Vinny that asked if my dentist was lush - well the answer is errr definitely not.

Shiney, with those comments he sounds immature... like a "lad" on night out with his mates.

Welcome all the newbies - just dive in and post lots and lots.

weegiemum · 25/03/2010 06:38

I'm weegie, I have about 6 stone to lose, I have bad eating habits due to years of depression but yesterday I made lovely veg soup and homemade wholemeal bread and feel good.

I struggle with eating in the middle of the night as I suffer very badly with insomnia.

Can I join in?

bellavita · 25/03/2010 06:44

Morning weegiemum, course you can join in. Homemade soup and bread eh... sounds awfully good. How about making lots of that soup and have a cup full in the middle of the night if you are hungry? Under weight watchers homemade veg soup comes with zero points and you can have it at any time....

Right, had better go and get showered and start getting ready for work.

dawntigga · 25/03/2010 06:59

Erm, you aren't going to leave the other thread with posts left on it are you?

Is Shineon really "a frim but fair leader who is highly respected by all on here"? (Wed 23:34:13)

I never thought of her as particularly frim.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 25/03/2010 08:08

Just dipping my toe to sat hi 'hi' xx

Hellooooo new folk....... you are most welcome!

weegiemum · 25/03/2010 08:13

I have actually eaten breakfast - nice wholemeal toast and a cup of coffee.

I don't normally as I often feel pretty crappy in the am but made myself this morning and now I actually feel better for it.

There might be something in this .....

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/03/2010 08:16

how many points is a slice of hovis 50/50 bread worth with eat smart cream cheese(equivalent to WW)

BitOfFun · 25/03/2010 08:28

Just caught up (sort of)- Hello to everybody new

Shiney- "he thought that Id sent him a photo of me in suspenders or something therefore the shock was doubly great to find an email effectively binning him off"...Is it bad of me that I read that as "bringing him off"?

I did a double-take though

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 25/03/2010 08:50

Hello can I join please ? Don't know how much I have to lose as I'm not weighing myself this time (I get a bit obsessional then sabotage myself) and am going by clothes size. Am size 22 atm and think I need to lose around 6 stones.

Have been sat on my rather ample backside much to much since DD born 11 years ago but have recently got a dog and an allotment so my body is in shock at having to exercise, which I'm hoping will help.

Lizzylou · 25/03/2010 09:01

There you all are!
Have posted on the other thread.....
Welcome to all newcomers, at living in Australia.

Am Lizzy and I want to lose another 10lbs/1stone, am eating healthily and doing lots of exercise. But am hardly waiflike yet.

OOh, BOF, you been listening to Radio 1? A friend of yours is on

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/03/2010 09:19

What exercise do you all do?

I don't do mega amounts but do walk a lot and am active with DS2

LoveBeingAMummy · 25/03/2010 09:19

Morning all

Couldn't bring myself to tell dh what happened yesterday, partly cause we looked at dd'd birthday vid from the weekend the night before I have to say I looked huge. Not in a i'm a bit flabby way but in a I am now offically a fat bird way .

Anywho going to be a goodish girl from now on. Main problem for me is portion size. Defo had less on my plate last night so its a start. Had crunchy nut corn flakes for breakfast, yes i know they are naughty but will keep me going til lunch.

Not sure whether to do full on ww or not. Am so skint and have to find a job urgenty so no money to join so might stick to healthy choices and small portions for now.

On the job front had a call to say the job i was really hoping i would get, i was appointable but someone was slighty better so back to the hunting.

Any tips from the 50lbs+ losers would be gratefully recieved. catch you later
