New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

bellavita · 25/03/2010 15:20

Oh ffs.... the bloody chocolate cake has set me off on a rampage...

1 two finger kit kat
1 milky way
1 choc digestive

all within about 2 mins of each other.

Shiney, you will look damned gorgeous whatever you wear. Outfit lovely though.

Mitts am still feeling sorry for myself, but I will get myself out of the hole soon. When my jobshare person came into work - she knew straight away how pissed off I was feeling with myself.

And DH is bugging me. Green Day (the band) who we saw in Las Vegas are touring here this summer. When the tickets went on sale, you could only buy 2 at a time - we needed four so we didn't get any. Some more have been released and he has found some tickets for four of us at Wembley - up in the gods I might add, but about a third of the way round, so not bad seats. The boys would love to go but with tickets and travel etc etc it will be like £400. I just think it is a lot of money. He keeps emailing me with different equasions of doing things.... I just need to give in really don't I? Can you tell I am in an arsey mood?

TotalChaos · 25/03/2010 15:49

hello and welcome to all the new shiners!

mitts - I have no idea as to artistic careers, so all I can do is wish you well with making money from what you enjoy and do best.

jetcat - are the tablets of which you speak Orlistat? If so I wouldn't risk a pizza, all pizzas seem to be high in fat (other than WW).

today:-
breakfast - porridge with jam (mcds, don't think I've ever seen anyone else order porrige in there )

lunch - chicken in pitta, rice ?fried (Nandos)
one chocolate.

planned dinner - sweet potato burgers with leek, carrot and a teeny bit of feta.

weegie - I'm 1.5 stone into a 5 stone "diet", and yep, I also aim to be out of Evans, and be a 1* for clothes.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/03/2010 15:56

Ok, breakfast - banana
Lunch, half a tin of beans on 2 slices granary toast. (no butter)

Didn't go on the exercise bike because I've been changing beds, cleaning the bathroom etc . Might get on tonight while watching pineapple dance studio.(Sky+)

Dinner will be fishcakes. Not sure what to do with them, rice? 2 stone down, 2 to go. (Although I am a tiny 5 foot 3, so that's quite a lot).

How am I doing? Obviously I still need to shoehorn Terry Wogan's cock into a conversation somewhere!

dawntigga · 25/03/2010 16:16

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Can I stay now please?

VeryNortyTiggaxx

TotalChaos · 25/03/2010 16:20

Tigger . it's going to be the new bat, isn't it?

Bitterandtwisted - don't forget some veg or salad to help fill you up. Am surprised you can manage on such a small breakfast, but then as you are 2 stone down, whatever you are doing obviously is working well!

I am a lazy fecker not very motivated about exercising. Just about manage 15 minutes on the Wii (My Fitness Coach).

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/03/2010 16:23

I did it! I did it! Can I stay now please?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/03/2010 16:25

Chaos, I don't really eat much in the day, I'm more of a grazer. Cheese is my downfall, or I'd be a slinky sylph by now, I'm sure.

Alicetheinvisible · 25/03/2010 17:26

Damn you Bitter!!!! I have just asked DD to get me some crisps from the kitchen because of that thread!
Oh, and we normally have mash with fishcakes, some veg and sometimes cheese sauce.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/03/2010 17:49

Flamming f@ nora. How on earth am i going to keep up you lot. I am going to have to start posting updates on FB at this rate.

Review today. Not failing but at risk of failing. Review again monday.
Am knackered but have a boy to enertain for a bit as it is my last night with him here.

Hope all are ok.

jetcat · 25/03/2010 17:52

shiney - your outfit looks so lovely You will be uber gorgeous and i hope you have a great night

Hey mamazon! sorry you feel a bit low and poorly - but very happy to hear you still coming in June

Bella - sorry you feeling pissed off I agree with Mits i think - as i am so jealous of seeing a fab band such as greenday But i do understand the cost thing

my food today has mostly been very low fat WW stuff - fingers crossed it does the trick Yup, tablets are orlistat, and i think you're right. I had a nightmare time when i inadvertantly ate something junior had cooked and was quite ill with it. So, will stop on Sunday, which will give me till Tuesday to get them out of my system. I cant go to pizza hut and not have anything

Alice - cant speak for DSs but my DDs are no end of trouble

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 25/03/2010 17:54

Dawn and bitter, well done on passing the initiation

I think TW would be happy and use also pull this face at the same time

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 25/03/2010 17:55

Shiney i love the jacket and the jeans but i think you should wear a lower cut top

Purplebuns · 25/03/2010 18:03

Hello all, What exactly is the initiation?

Also good news I am not as heavy as I thought, but still a way to go.I bought some nice shiny scales today.

Also have any of you had a sofa from DFS? Random question, I know

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 25/03/2010 18:05

Bella give in to the tickets, you only live once! sorry you are feeling pissed off today, hope you feel happier soon

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/03/2010 18:16

have bgood evening.off to bed.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/03/2010 18:16

Right, had the fish cakes with cous cous and peas, fabulous!

Alice, sorry about the crisps, surely the thought of Terry's cock in a sandwich was enough to put you off?

Mash with fishcakes is wrong. I make mine using mash potato, it just makes the whole meal to spuddy, IYKWIM.

hellsbelles · 25/03/2010 18:18

I got so excited on the other thread - I thought I would be able to easily catch up - and then I discovered you were all here!

Welcome all newbies. I'm hells and I have about half a stone to lose...though I'm very excited at the moment as I seem to be suddenly be able to squeeze fit into some size 10s!

Shiney - the outfit is perfect. You will look gorgeous and he won't deserve you (which is the right way round imo)

Work continues to be manic so I will try and catch up properly later.

Came home to discover that DS had made a secret potion that included wee! He was very very proud of this fact.

Right- have to go do supper, bath, milk type things and will try and get on here later. DH has decided to go to the pub with work so I'm a bit

FiveGoMadInDorset · 25/03/2010 18:19

Go to the concert Bella, really nice thing to do with your boys.

I am shocked that 500g of turkey thighs are 10.5 points compared to 500g of chicken thighs, means I cna have more supper tonight which is mediterranean chicken stew for 6 points which leaves me on a grand total of 17.5 points and able to have some wine and save some.

Rollergirl1 · 25/03/2010 19:15

Hi everyone, yet again am finding hard to keep up!

Anyway, me Rollergirl. Aiming to lose around a stone to get back to pre-baby weight (although not sure if that's really realistic). Have lost about 5/6 lbs in the past 4 weeks. Don't really have a diet plan as such. Trying to stick to calorie counting low calorie/low fat during the day and then small portions of whatever is being cooked in the evening. That coupled with 2 running twice 2 swimming sessions a week and I am hoping will reap the benefits!

Shiney: Have missed a lot, will this be a first date or have you met already? I think jacket and jeans lovely but agree with someone else that think you need something a little more risque for the top.

Alice: Do you know you are having a boy? I would say girls are more mentally draining and boys are more physically draining. Based on my experience anyway. DD (almost 4)will happily sit still but won't stop talking and even talks when she actually has nothing to say. DS (nearly 2) is like a whirlwind and has already fixed his beady eyes on the next thing to break, draw over, pour water on, stamp on before I have managed to prise the last thing away from him.

Bella: Sorry missed what the tickets are for?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 25/03/2010 19:29

Sorry chicken thighs have 16.5 for 500g. Recipe looks good serves 6 and is only 4 points per portion.

hellsbelles · 25/03/2010 19:38

I had a really shocking supper. I was so tired all I could muster was sausages (not the weight watcher variety), mashed potato (waitrose ready made ) and in an attempt at some sort of heathly eating - green beans. HOwever smothered in mustard and butter (on mash) it was rather tasty

I will try harder t/m as on Saturday I have a big family gathering and don't want to be the one busting out of my jeans.

I got a rather odd compliment yesterday...someone at DS's school was chatting to me and said 'oh are you the one that had to do all the pregnancy bedrest...so that is why you look 10 years younger than the rest of us - all that lying down!'. I was tempted to explain that all that lying down also involved the most stressed and worrying times I've ever lived through which I think aged me a lot. But I shall try and take it in good spirit!!
