New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

iggi999 · 29/03/2010 20:06

We have an injured seagull on our back step. DP phoning SSPCA. Do you think they will help it? Hoping they won't ask us to put it out of it's misery

iggi999 · 29/03/2010 20:07

(off to read thread now and not be so rude)

MitsubishiWarrioress · 29/03/2010 20:08

Well.. You might inspire me to do what I do with a more Kick Ass attitude shiney

Awwww at the Finnster, he is just so edible

DEM... a mixed blessing there, but glad it wasn't cut and dried over for you today, is there anything we can do?

Talking about babies with DD and showed her this picture, and she can't stop giggling, and laughs even more when I say 'nipples'

MyCatIsABastard · 29/03/2010 20:25

evening one and all

I have walked for over 2hrs today with DS too and from shops and nursery. I am feeling very pleased with myself. Having said that, the donut I shared with DS at Morrisons probably wasn't doing me that much good. Ah well.

DEM, Are they helping you over the next 3 weeks? What support have they put in place?

Mitts, If I could I would send the ironing on over to you. I used to pay an ironing service to do it for me. I really do not enjoy doing it. Once I'm back at work I shall get it done again. Also, what the hell is that picture?

Lizzylou · 29/03/2010 20:53

Just popping in after spin class and 20mins fat wobbling, spin class was hard tonight, but feel good now.

Hells, I'd say getting to pilates whilst your childminder was looking after DD was an essential, so you can function properly

DEM, how do you feel? They seem to be giving you a chance, have they said how they will help you to pass? Have you a mentor/tutor to help you?

Lizzylou · 29/03/2010 20:55

Vinny, Finn sounds just like DS2, he did the same after he fell and had a minuscle graze on his knee. Sometimes they are too cute to say no to.

Mycat, well done you on your walking.

Mitts, my DS's are convinced that one day I will laugh so much my "boobies will fall off and you will grow a willy Mommy, just like us and Daddy"

Whaddya say to that then???

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 21:15

i have 1.5 points left for today, what can i eat? or shall i have a vodka?

Lizzylou · 29/03/2010 21:16

Vodka, all the way.
Am on a glass of white to relax me after spinning so hard.

Do it

Because we're worth it

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 21:26

Spin class sounds like it woulld be always hard Lizzy.

How many points in a vodka Vinny?

OP posts:
VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 21:34

vodka is one point for a pub measure

im having diet lemonade with it and that is 0 points

i discovered that martini bianco is only 0.5 points for a pub measure, so i am going to drink that with soda if i go to the pub at the weekend (it is a wimps drink though)

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 21:47

My mum used to drink dry martini. I hear the red stuff is good too.

Alicetheinvisible · 29/03/2010 21:48

I had a beer. It was good, but not big enough. I am dying to try my sloe gin. Oh well, will make good christmas presents i suppose....

wastingaway · 29/03/2010 21:49

Vinny, Finn sounds so cute!

Lizzy, bless them.

Hells, I really think you should go for the Pilates. The fitter and healthier you are the more effective you'll be at work as well.

Iggi, Hope they can help it.

DEM, sounds stressful, but it's a reprieve. Was the rest of the feedback constructive?

Trills, you could surprise us in turn when we've admitted to cake and chips, 'Are you feeling massive? ARE YOU!!!'
Or is that what happens on the fishy one's diet thread?

YanknCock · 29/03/2010 22:06

Hi all!!! Did you miss me? I am just popping in for a moment, am at my friend's house where there is the holy grail of internet access. I have not fought with my FIL once, though I am dying to ask him WHY, FGS, he must tell us what race a person is at the start of every story when it is NEVER relevant.

Healthy eating not going so well. I forgot my paper WW stuff so am just trying to turn down 90% of what is offered to me by well meaning, hospitable people. I did get some exercise walking to and working on my friend's allotment yesterday though!

Right, must go be sociable now....hope to get on tomorrow for a bit but have no chance of catching up. Hope you are all well.

bellavita · 29/03/2010 22:08

Hello Yank, glad everything is going well.

hellsbelles · 29/03/2010 22:17

Yank we are missing you. We'll do a 'yank style round up' tribute when you are back properly so you can get up to speed.

SlinkyGoober · 29/03/2010 22:18

So.

Who missed me?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/03/2010 22:20

I'm baaaack! (yeah, right, like anyone missed a newbie like me!)

OK, we have seen the bereavement counsellor,
DH got to see his mum laid out (which I think was really important to him) and I have filled FIL's freezer. I think FIL will be ok for now, as he has two litters of puppies to look after, but MIL was his main carer (he is in a wheelchair). So I am a bit worried as what will happen after the funeral.

BIL is still at home and should be able to step up, but he's a really young 24 IYKWIM. I don't think he knows how to cook or even use the washing machine.

I think I am going to have to commit to making the four hour round trip every Sunday, at the very least to fill his freezer, and write cooking instructions on the top of everything.(I've stuck everything in those foil trays, so they can just go in the oven.)

As an aside, is anyone else watching tantrums and tiaras on DMAX

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/03/2010 22:22

Sorry, just read last post, bit of an essay!

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 22:28

Hello Bitter - glad your trip up went ok.

Perhaps your BIL will surprise you - you know when he's got to do it.

Would something like meals on wheels be an option for him, so he gets the food delivered (most of them are actually ok these days - I know my Granddad used to have some that were actually quite nice),

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/03/2010 22:35

Thing Is Toccata, he's only 49 . He's not infirm, it's just he is used to having help. He's capable of looking after himself,to a point but I don't think either of them have a clue how to run a household.

They are used to looking after the dogs, while MIL looked after the house. She was only 54

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 22:37

oh! maybe they'll surprise you..........

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/03/2010 22:52

Toccata, just found out the thread has moved here.

Even more grateful now that you answered me!
