New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Ah thanks Alice

Mmmm Chicken biryani - have never ever cooked one of those. We are just having bog standard chicken curry. How lovely though that DH is cooking for you. Perhaps you could post the recipe for me when you have a minute?

NormaSknockers · 29/03/2010 17:36

You must have at least 16 points a day, starving yourself is not the way to go

Total - I wasn't keen on the WW version of min chedders either I do like the Nachos, Crinkle Crisps & BBQ savory snacks though. Saving that extra 0.5 point is kind handy. Love the Rich Toffee bars too!

12lbs isn't bad at all Alice

NormaSknockers · 29/03/2010 17:37

Sazz how do you do it? I am in awe of you, I felt chuffed after my 10 pathetic lengths yesterday

bellavita · 29/03/2010 17:38

I am in awe of all of you that exercise. I hardly do any - I couldbn't even manage lengths Norma.

Alicetheinvisible · 29/03/2010 17:42

Bella - we found the recipe in an old waitrose mag, from a Patak's promo. Will let you know how it goes and put the recipe on the recipe thread. I have got some total yoghurt to make dip for poppadoms too

bellavita · 29/03/2010 17:44

Thanks Alice, ooh get you with the Total!

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 17:53

Biryani sounds lovely Alice, and oooh, proper Total yoghurt

Will continue saying to Vinny: ignore, ignore, ignore. If you don't respond to him he will eventually decide that texting/phoning you is not a rewarding way to spend his time, which would be the perfect result.

12lbs is really good Alice... at baby kicking. I actually have dreams about being pregnant and baby kicking .

Have just seen my yummy, twinkly eyed customer... and found a necklace I had lost... had my lucky gas bill, it has been a good karma day

Lizzylou · 29/03/2010 17:58

12lbs is fab, Alice, with DS2 I had put that on after 10weeks .

Mitts, you are having a great day.

TotalChaos · 29/03/2010 17:59

bella - not sure about BoF, but Yank is at the in-laws without net access this week I think.

yes i am in awe at these lengths, I just about manage 15 mins work out on the Wii...

bellavita · 29/03/2010 18:05

Thanks TC.

Alicetheinvisible · 29/03/2010 18:05

Mitts - so glad you have had a good day, you deserve it. Are you going to join the craft thread?

The total yoghurt is all Trills fault really. She gave me an enormous pot of 2% stuff and then mentioned making minty dip so i tried that, it was good (with mint and coriander) so got a little pot yesterday especially for the purpose of dipping deep fried poppadoms in

I am quite petite, so can't really afford to put on too much weight. Plus, with the horses i have no choice but to exercise everyday so think i probably exercise when most pg women take it easier iyswim? I ballooned last time after breaking my leg because i couldn't do anything.

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 18:06

I am back with a spring roll, and chips (and curry sauce) for myself, Cod and chips for the DS's.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 29/03/2010 18:27

Enjoy TaF

Alice, yes I would like to join the Arts And Crafts thread thingy.. I need to be around some creative people to get motivated and inspired.. Norma is great on here but the focus isn't on making really.. might lurk for a bit to see what it is all about..

TotalChaos · 29/03/2010 19:08

oooh lovely, before the healthy eating we used to get chips and veggie spring rolls from a good chippie a mile away, you could feed an army for about £6.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 19:20

ds2 had his jabs today, he cried and cried, then came home and insisted on lying on the couch with a blanket and some chocolate cereal (typical male) fell asleep and was still upset about the nasty nurse with the big needle when he woke up, insisted he couldnt even go for a wee because his legs didnt work anymore so has been waited on hand a foot by soft ollies here...... and now seems to have made a miraculous recovery now and is scoffing easter egg

bloody men

bellavita · 29/03/2010 19:34

Aww the lovely Finnster. He is just adorable. Gotta admire his style

I have been slobbing on the sofa - we are watching The Blues Bros - I have eaten a tiny bit of choc, am due my period though >

hellsbelles · 29/03/2010 19:35

poor finnster! And poor you having to do the servant thing.

Trills- will you please get home and try on your dress.

Lizzy - you are 100% right. When I do pilates I feel a lot better. It's just finding time (we are often away at weekends which is when DH can look after DC's). I feel like every second my childminder is here I should be working but I guess I should allow myself 1 hour a week. It would make a huge difference.

Mitts - I love that you are having such a wonderful day. much deserved.

Has anyone heard from DEM?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 19:38

Bella why are you crying at the Blues Bros? i thought it was meant to be funny?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 19:39

Oh fuck i just re-read your post, you said 'slobbing' not 'sobbing'

hellsbelles · 29/03/2010 19:41
  • I thought that too first time I read it
VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 19:43

DidEinsteinsMum · 29/03/2010 19:45

ok failing not fired. got three weeks to get to a point where school may or may not decide to give me a few more weeks to sort out to pass.

One observation was that i didnt know how to have fun and take life too serious...

Have you seen my life recenty?

SO fuck off out.

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 19:46

Finnster sounds like a proper malingerer there Vinny!

hellsbelles · 29/03/2010 19:50
