New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Wasting (and anyone else interested) here is the new crafting chat thread

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 13:33

Yes thats what i am thinking too Bella

Xp saw my new car when he dropped ds2 off, i told him i still have my old car but i cant sell it until it is fixed, and that my plan is to pay off half the new finace once i do sell it, hopefully he will convey that to xfil

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 13:33

Ignore him Vinny. Until the point at which he offers you back the money he conned you out of. If he would do anything for you why doesn't he stop being an arse? That'd be a good start.

Oh well done Alice!

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 13:35

I live on caffeine even when I'm eating properly. Can't get enough of the stuff - always have one just before go to sleep as well.

Managed to find a little motivation this morning, managed to shower and put clean clotes on (which is actually quite and achievement for me right now), and put a load of washing on, and start drying some I did last night.

Problem is motivation has now gone and I still need to wash the dishes.

wastingaway · 29/03/2010 13:40

TAF, have you got a timer? Or a timer on your mobile?

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 13:43

I do........problem is I don't even seem to be up to 10/15 minute stints right now.

It's kind of "sieze the moment" (when they rarely come along).......and hope it lasts long enough to finish a job

MitsubishiWarrioress · 29/03/2010 13:43

I might even go as far as to say to Ex FiL that until he has seen you right re your old car you will be curtailing his contact with DS2 Vinny, as the whole event impacts on him re your finances. And if Ex FiL can't see that he needs to wise up. Even my MiL wouldn't do anything to jeopardise the DC's financial security and we have some odd moments. She would fall over herself to do right by them despite everything.

Hmm... I get you and the caffeine thing TaF, BUT MAYBE GETTING THE CAFFEINE HIGH IS MAKING YOUR BODY THINK IT DOESN'T NEED FOOD BECAUSE IT IS GETTING A DIFFERENT HIGH.(sorry not shouting). Do you like milkshake? could a couple of drinks be milkshakes? Or milky hot chocolate whilst you are trying for the weight gain?

Alicetheinvisible · 29/03/2010 13:45

TAF - sometimes i make a bargain with myself. I will do 15mins of housework, then a 15min break (with a drink/biscuit/MN etc) amazing how much i can get done doing it that way. Speaking of which........

wastingaway · 29/03/2010 13:45

How about 2 minutes?

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 13:46

what caffeine high, I don't get highs from caffeine any more, just like the taste, and it's all psychological (I know it is as I can drink a mug of decaf and have the same "oopmh" in my afterwards as drinking a normal one ).....actually last month I accidentaly bought a jar of decaf (was looking at the price and that it was fairtrade only realised when I got home it was decaf) - and finished it before I bought more "proper" stuff.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 29/03/2010 13:46

Tell them Matt Albright from rogue Traders is interested in your story Vinny..

hellsbelles · 29/03/2010 13:59

yeah- our leader is back! Sorry about your night shiney and mycat. Lack of sleep is a killer.

I too am in my prime - 38 nearly 39

Mitts - it's very rare to hear good news and gas bill in the same sentence - how bloody marvelous!

cat - I am most certain that the walk will offset the wine - that was my tactic too this morning.

Sazz - I agree with Shiney that exercise when poorly is not a good thing. can you tak ea little rest.

Vinny - yes indeed string the bastard along a bit.

TC - (i'm choosing to ignore the link between wine and joint pain ) but hoping that the BF thing is right (as you say - all those hormones must do something!)

shiney - you haven't. And no more on the subject young lady.

Mum is picking up DS from his sports club as a favour for me and I've just had a call from the teacher saying she's not there (15 mins after pick up time)! Cue panic phone call to panicked mother who is spluttering about how awful my directions were (oh dear - I did actually take special care to get them right so for once I don't think it is my fault).

Luckily DS is pretty laid back about this sort of stuff so unlikely to be in trauma mode (unlike my dear mother who will no doubt have a migraine shortly).

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 14:23

Mitts, xfil wanted to bring ds2 home yesterday and i told xp that i dont want him to come to my house as i am upset with him, so xp brought him back instead

I also told xp that if xfil wants to see ds2 then he does it when he is with xp, and not on my time, so if its my weekend with ds2 then i dont want xfil coming near us

I'm still so angry with the man, he makes my blood boil over grrrr

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 14:42

who has just added me as a friend on FB? [too lazy to figure it out from posts on here and posts on their wall]

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 29/03/2010 14:46

werent me, i dont know who you are and cant get fb at work

ToccataAndFudge · 29/03/2010 14:51

I know it wasn't you - you're already one of my FB friends.........

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 15:01

So far today - innocent smoothie, quite a lot of tea, veg chilli for lunch, piece of coffee and walnut cake (made for new guys's first day).

Well done on being strong Vinny - you don't need him in your life.

Are you still feeling massive Alice?

OP posts:
wastingaway · 29/03/2010 15:05

TrillianAstra · 29/03/2010 15:22

am eating my own body weight in grapes today, Iceland' chilean green ones are very nice.

vt - agree with leaving ex-FIL to stew longer to enhance chances of recovering money
