New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Hello all, BOF glad dd arrived safe and well. It really is a huge achievement for her to fly all the way here on her own. You must be very proud of her independence (and relieved at her safe arrival).

Lizzylou, we are going to see the Gruffalo at the theater in a couple of weeks, I hope it's as good as the book.

I went for a run today, raining but soft rain, and warm - quite unlike what we're used to. V. pleasant tho.

Now about to have low taste fat spag bol. Yum.

DidEinsteinsMum · 28/03/2010 10:20

ok so what time is it?

wastingaway · 28/03/2010 10:44

Morning!

I've had porridge for breakfast, some grapes, and the last bit of Soreen. Yum.

It's Sunday, so off out for dinner shortly.

Jaq, so sorry.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 28/03/2010 10:56

God, I love Soreen. Can't get it here.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 28/03/2010 10:59

Jaq...I am so so sorry lovey....
take care of yourself. (( ))

Have been up for a while but am a little dozy today. I have had a hot cross bun. I love hot cross buns.

I am going to mow the lawn... when I have had more tea...

x

wastingaway · 28/03/2010 11:01

I don't get it often, but it was on buy one get one free, and DS likes it.

I don't think I updated you all on my mildewy craft cupboard. It wasn't as bad as I'd feared and is all cleaned up and painted with anti-mould paint and I'll be putting stuff back in later.

I also decluttered about half the craft stuff I acquired when Mum emigrated that I'll never use, and I've been very brave and listed it on freecycle. I've been a member for ages, but was always too scared to list anything before.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 28/03/2010 11:37

I am a surprising wimp about doing stuff like that WA. I have stuff to sell on Ebay but am overwhelmed by the thought of setting up a account.

I have just done some card for a shop in the village and the lady loves them .

Oh and I love soreen but I don't buy it because it is so moreish and I have no will power.

Glad DD made it BoF... .

I must drag myself out before the weather turns... byeee for now....

bellavita · 28/03/2010 11:48

Had better go and get dressed.... I told Shiney ages ago I was going to do it!

I love Soreen too and agree Mitts - tis very moreish.

There is a small piece of cajun chicken left over from last night, so I have claimed this and will have it with some salad for lunch. Think the rest of them will be having sausage butties

Day off from work tomorrow. Our school does not actually break up until Thursday although my boys have already broken up. My job share colleague asked me to swap a shift in early March so that I worked a full day for her so I chose tomorrow to have my day off - so I can look after DS2. Tues and Wed he is coming to work with me and Thursday DH is off. DS2 is soooo hoping to catch some of the action that goes on in the school - "mum do you think that the rozzers will be in this week?" he says with such hope!

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 12:19

District 9 is a film about Apartheid with aliens. Basically. Mmm, malt loaf is yum.

What's the property porn all about Tigga? I love looknig at houses. And talking about food. In fact I just like everything that's in Come Dine With Me: food, houses, snooping, bitching, and a sarcastic voiceover man!

Fleecy · 28/03/2010 12:39

I linked to pics of my kitchen but apparently you could then see all of my photos, not just the linked ones. So I changed my settings and now you can't see them at all. Sorry to be a tease!

Malt loaf is yum. Hear hear!

I listed our piano on freecycle recently and it was very easy. Having said that, half my clothes come from eBay and I'm quite happy to buy but utterly terrified of selling, so have never done so.

Is it super easy?

hellsbelles · 28/03/2010 12:51

I was just about to ask what Soreen was then realised someone might be rightly tempted to do this if I did

Fleecy...mitts had to warn me about that with DH's facebook. When facebook changed the privacy settings a while back he forgot to update so all his pictures where available to everyone.

Trills - I wish this dress would hurry up and get to you!

Mitt's - great news about the cards. Setting up an ebay account is easy peasy - and wouldn't it be wonderful if you could sell cards direct through that? I've heard there is a good market for quality original items.

NormaSknockers · 28/03/2010 13:18

Hello all,

Just sticking my head in quickly - had a brilliant night away but I fear the champagne, chocolates, dinner etc etc will not aid any weight loss this week....worth it though Catch up bit later!

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 13:24

Hi Norma - glad you had a lovely night away - champagne!

weegiemum · 28/03/2010 14:10

Oh crap I think I might have caught the bug my dd1 has. I also suspect dd2 has caught it as she is being horribly grumpy and refusing food. I have stomach cramps and feel kinda light headed. Didn't have any lunch - it made me feel ewwww just thinking about it.

Ds is up a mountain in the highlands with the cubs. Hope he isn't sick - not sure Akela would be too happy!!

Norrrrrrrrrrrrrrmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa - glad you had such a fab time.

Sazz, you lush . Sounds like you had great time.

We are supposed to be going out tonight for tea, but DS1 said he doesn't feel well enough to go out - not like him at all.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 28/03/2010 14:35

Jumps on Sazzles..... how are you? Lovely to hear you had fun...

Yes hells....it might be a start... I have redone the window display for easter and put some business cards in the shop. Little steps, I might take a week off after easter and do some serious research and self promotion stuff. It's a good season for doing it.
I have to take DD to the park...

Trills, did I say how thrilled I was that you got the dress? Piccy will be nice on FB..... I missed you on the thread recently.. I like your ponderings...

weegiemum · 28/03/2010 14:37

crappity crap

me and dd2 now both vomiting.

suppose i might lose weight but its not exactly healthy eating is it?

bellavita · 28/03/2010 14:50

Mitts, you say the nicest things to people

Wordsonascreen · 28/03/2010 15:57

I had sparkling water (unheard of its normally a large peroni) with my leggera pizza (and no breakfast)

Plus walked miles (or so it seemed) round the shops.

If that doesn't morph me into a size 12 bikini nothing will

[disclaimer: nothing will]

wastingaway · 28/03/2010 15:58

Mitts is lovely.

Bella, for some reason 'rozzers' is very funny.

Me and DS are a bit grumpy with our colds, so we came home rather than hanging at ILs.

Must do something useful while DS is snoozing in buggy. Motivation anyone?

bellavita · 28/03/2010 16:14

Wasting - DS1 is grumpy with his cold too. He has also got an ear infection that doesn't seem to be clearing up despite taking ab's since Tuesday. We are supposed to be going out for tea and he says he cannot be bothered to go which is most unlike him

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 16:26

Aww, thanks Mitts
