New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Evening all- just a quick hello, as I'm watching District 9 with DP.

Dd1 arrived safely in Oz, and is now on a domestic flight to the Gold Coast, the lucky bugger!

Good night for now

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 23:05

Eww to the ancient sex toys!

We live down the road from an Aga shop and I pass it whenever I take DD to playschool and back - there's a gorgeous aubergine one in the window at the moment. It's so very pretty. My taste is usually more modern for kitchens but I do like those big Agas.

Here and here are pictures of my kitchen. Farmhouse it ain't but I love it!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 23:05

Very jealous of your DD BoF, why is he there?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 23:06

That is nice Fleecvy but would look crap in my house.

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 23:07

Glad to hear your DD made it bof

DreamsInBinary · 27/03/2010 23:08

Fleecy that kitchen is spotless

BitOfFun · 27/03/2010 23:08

Dd1's dad, my ex-h (I was a child bride ) emigrated when we split up, Fanny. I was with him through the medical training and long junior doctor hours, but missed the climb-to-consultant in the sun

bellavita · 27/03/2010 23:09

Fleecy, you may want to get your post deleted as it gives out your real name and all your pics on fb.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 23:09

How long has she gone for?

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 23:11

I live in a 1980s box so farmhouse would look somewhat pretentious here!

My dream house is a Georgian rectory...

bellavita · 27/03/2010 23:11

BoF - blimey, I didn't realise he was a consultant , well actually, I didn't know what he did, so am not sure why I am

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 23:14

Oh - I thought it was just the pics I linked to! Thank you!

Am not good with this new-fangled internet

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 23:19

Would someone mind checking my links again - can you still see all my other pics? I don't mind my name because my sis is on here so I name change if I want privacy but I don't want everyone on this earth seeing all my pics!

Have changed my privacy settings and was a bit as to how lax they were before!

bellavita · 27/03/2010 23:21

It now says the content is currently unavailable.. and lists

  1. it could be broken
  2. it might have expired
  3. do not have permission to view that page.
Fleecy · 27/03/2010 23:27

Woohoo - got something right! Thanks for that. Guess it's all or nothing then!

Quiet here this evening. Are people actually out enjoying themselves? What's that like

DH is out tonight on a boys night to celebrate the arrival of a friend's baby. Picked a rubbish night for it, what with the rain here and the clocks going back as well. He will be useless tomorrow!

ClaudiaSchiffer · 27/03/2010 23:44

I couldn't get access to it Fleecy

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 03:41

Sorry to hear that Jac, hope you're okay.

BoF did you like District 9? I liked it loads after the slightly silly 80s-ish documentary beginning.

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 28/03/2010 04:11

I did like it! I didn't even realise it had started though- I see what you mean about the beginning.

dawntigga · 28/03/2010 08:16

Waves to all.

Off to buy bedding plants today

Am being denied property porn by not being an FB friend Still I've got this to look at not sure it takes a blummin designer to design that though! Although maybe not this, why would anyone want to have a kitchen that looks like it's a playgroup/nursery?????

UseToBeSORockAndRollTiggaxx

Wordsonascreen · 28/03/2010 08:51

I like that nursery one

My taste is obviously infantile

Am off to take dc's to cricket training, and then I've promised them Pizza Express for lunch (am over compensating as DH is away AGAIN on business)
Has anyone tried the leggera pizza's ?

Have been totally "in the zone" all week and don't want to blow it on a deep pan.

jetcat · 28/03/2010 09:38

thats a relief she landed safe Bof

what is this district 9??

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 28/03/2010 09:38

Morning all, just a quick hello and goodbye. Off to FIL's for a couple of days so will be offline. You will probably have started a new thread by then so I'll look out for it.

Be good ladies!

hellsbelles · 28/03/2010 09:42

morning all

Jaq - so sorry to hear your news.

BOF - so good to hear she arrived safely.

I've been rubbish on the dieting front due to 'family day' yesterday where only available foods were cakes and biscuits

But I will be back on track today.

weegiemum · 28/03/2010 09:51

Morning all

Have had toast adn OJ for breakfast and made seriosly chocolate laden packed lunch for ds off on his first ever hillwalk with the Cubs today.

Not feeling very hungry as spent much of the night mopping up dd1's sick! They are ill all the time at the moment - this tummy bug has been going round school and this is the second time she has had it!

Dh is at work till tomorrow night so its just the girls in the house today - good excuse for wearing jammies all day and watching DVDs I think. Ususally go to church but can't take dd1 obviously.

Back to the school project - urgh!

Lizzylou · 28/03/2010 10:03

Morning all, have had a good nights sleep, feel very clear headed today!

BOF, glad that DD got to Oz OK, lucky girl!

DS1 at football with DH, DS2 and I are snuggling in our pjs and watching The Gruffalo for the millionth time. DS1 at a trampolining party at 1pm then we have slow roasted Moroccan lamb for dinner.

I may go for a run this evening as it will be lighter, loads of housework to do first though......
