New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Evening

Just had some bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and basil roast chicken is cooking, all is good.

Really looking forward to being able to get the BBQ out again [excited]

Wasting - have you been on the crafting chat thread lately? Do you fancy restarting it if it has fallen by the wayside. I want to do stuff but lacking in motivation a bit.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/03/2010 17:59

Lizzylou · 28/03/2010 18:10

Evening all, just back from a walk round the reservoir with DH and the boys, DS2 whinged and whined a lot and it was bloody freezing, but must have helped burn off my dinner.

How long are you in Birmingham for, DIB?

Glad you had fun Norma, sounds lovely

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 18:44

You are allowed sweet things Vinny, if it's that time of the month just calculate your points to take it into account. Nothing is off-limits (because if it is you'll start wanting the thing thst is not allowed). Have you tried freezing chocolate, so you have to let each square melt in your mouth for a long time?

Not v authentic chinesy stuff I'm afraid Sazz, there's a sachet of oyster sauce stuff waiting for me

Lizzylou · 28/03/2010 19:00

Ours are normally in bed for 7pm, Sazz, not even had a bath yet.
DS1 said, "it is still the middle of the afternoon, isn't it?" Erm, no, it is isn't. We just don't want you to wake at 5am.

Vinny, get some Mini Milk in, am sure they are just 1 point or something.

ToccataAndFudge · 28/03/2010 19:00

ok - today's food so far

3 mugs of coffee
1 custard cream
1 sausage sandwich (2 sausages, white bread)

Need to find motivation to get up and do stuff, as mentioned earlier it may actually help my appetite.

BitOfFun · 28/03/2010 19:01

Have been stuck on a lap dancing thread all day- apart from a brief jaunt to the beach with the dog.

How is everyone?

I bought some low fat hot chocolate drinks (on Bellas advice) might try one of those, not really a hot chocolate person would prefer it to have a whiskey in it

I did a fell walk yesterday, 2 hours of brisk waling climbing has gained me 6.5 points

MitsubishiWarrioress · 28/03/2010 19:32

Hi BoF!

Well here, apart from my sinuses which feel like they are about to explode and I had way too much cottage pie for dinner, but it was extremely nice.

Alicetheinvisible · 28/03/2010 19:34

Dinner was yum, DD is bathed and in bed, the house does look like a toddler bomb has hit it, but not bothered. Looking forward to Dancing on ice the final

Out of interest, is anyone on Virgin tv? It has changed some channels around and i cant find More4

hellsbelles · 28/03/2010 19:47

I need Yank to do one of her stupendous round ups! But as she is having fun somewhere in London (I think?) I'll take Trill's advice and just refer to the last few posts....

T&F - that does not sounds like a proper days food get some decent grub in you!

Alice glad dinner was yum and Mitts hope they don't explode!

Norma - so glad you had a fab time. Lovely to have you back

And DIB- DS is always very proud to say he is 'half Birmingham' (I think he thinks it's a different country because "they talk in a different way")....bet you have a fab time.

I am feeling very sorry for myself. I fell up the stairs (WTF??) and bashed my arm really hard on a sharp wooden bit. And it hurts like hell still. It actually hurts to type. I feel like such a wuss but I'm wondering if I've actually chipped a bone or something as the pain just isn't stopping. How can you tell with something like that (yes yes I know I"ll have to go the dr if it gets worse...)

Waves to everyone and will catch up later I proimse!

bellavita · 28/03/2010 19:59

Sazz, we ended up going out - yay! DH suggested two paracetamol to DS1 and I offered to run a bath for him and I washed his hair. He felt a little better and said "we may as well go out" as if he is doing us a huuuuuge favour. Both DS's had the same dish - linguine pescatore and DS1 finished his in record time hoping that DS2 would leave some of his - which he didn't - both DH and I were soooo surprised he managed to eat all the portion. He was so full he couldn't manage a dessert but DS1 had chocolate fondant. I had roasted cod fillet on a bed of parpadelle, with peas and broad beans, was tres nice. Am stuffed now as there was just two pieces of homemade cherry and almond tart left from last night that DH and I have just polished off.

How are we all?

Lizzylou · 28/03/2010 20:27

OOh Bella, that all sounds delish.

Hells, ouch, that does sound painful. Is there a bruise? You could have chipped a bone, if it still hurts tomorrow you should get checked out.

Alice, freeview only here, sorry.

Shattered after a day of housework and food then big walk.

All good though.

bellavita · 28/03/2010 20:30

Aww hells, I have just read your post properly.. poor you. I hope it is better tomorrow

ToccataAndFudge · 28/03/2010 20:30

More4 - 147

weegiemum · 28/03/2010 20:35

Urgh!

Today have had 2 slices of toast and a glass of OJ.

Then have been chucking up with dd1's sick bug since 1.30 or so.

Cooking tea for the other 2 was a nightmare (dh working all day - 8am - 11pm today).

So I have probably lost weight today but I don't care, I jsut want the room to stop spinning .....
