New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

I have grazed today

So DS's toast
1 slice granary bread and butter
banansa
2 chocolate brownies (may be three in a moment
2 fishfingers
a 4 point WW meal (made by me)
and a large quantity of wine.

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:15

Jac so sorry to hear that.

I'm new and i have no idea what FB thing you are talking about??

Been good today - resisted urge for mars bar and apple sandwich and had lentil soup instead.

Just in from girls brigade display - irritated that xh who is the religious one and insists they go didn't bother to turn up coz he was 'busy'.

Getting a lie in in the morning tho :-)

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:17

Are you in NI agasarecool (even though we sold ours)

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:19

yes did the gb give me away lol

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:21

Yep, DD and DS both have Godparents from there. DD's lives near Ballymena and DS's is from Hollywood.

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:25

I'm outside Coleraine. Lived in Ballymena for years tho.

Agasarecool but I have a multi-fuel Rayburn lol - cheap as chips to run

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:28

They are lovely but when we had ours when it was on we were putting in 1000 litres of oil avery 5 weeks for heating, water and aga. Couldn't cope with it.

DidEinsteinsMum · 27/03/2010 22:29

i give up. my tmeporaty fix of the internet thing seems to be dying and i am knackered. so to avoid diggin any more holes and myslef i am off to bed. night all.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:29

Night DEM

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:32

That's what i love bout raymond the rayburn. he burns all sorts of stuff, loads of waste wood - DD's boyfriend at nursery school when they were 3 has father who has saw mill, less than a bag of coal a week in the winter to keep him in overnight, and lots and lots of rubbish. There's a bin in the kitchen specially for the burning stuff lol. My friend has a big 4 oven aga and with the price of oil she's having kittens about how much it is using. Downside is, raymond needs tlc, cleaned out, looked after but I don't mind its easy enough to do once u get the hang of it. And he's linked in to the heating/water so there's always loads of hot water.

But I would still love a proper aga.

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:32

night DEM I'm off shortly too

weegiemum · 27/03/2010 22:33

oh agas I'm married to a Belfast Boy (though he hasn't lived there for 20 years - been in Scotland longer now) and we go over a couple of times a year to visit Grannie and uncles/aunties for our dc.

Its very pretty but (sorry 'n' all that) I don't think I could live there! (although that probably has more to do with dh's rather cliquey and suffocating family than NI itself!)

Have now polished off all the prawn crackers and dh is at work so also 2 glasses of wine (he is very good at stopping me at 1).

Otherwise had had wholemeal toast
Salad with bacon and pitta bread
Small portion of chicken in black bean sauce with multicoloured peppers and a teeeeeny amount of rice.

I think I have lost the will to live after working with dd1 (10) on her "Romans" project all day!

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:36

weegiemum that's a common problem with NI boys and their mums lol

and projects from school - don't u just love them - not. i seem to have been doing them for a very very long time, and the same ones come round over and over and over. Is it wicked to confess that I seriously thought to recycle DS's Egyptian one for DD??

I think I would seriously kill for some beef green pepper and black bean sauce.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 27/03/2010 22:37

Coolio, I understand you don't want to discuss private stuff on a public board. No worries at all, just that there seemed to be a lot of us newbies at once and I wondered if that was irritating for you oldies . . . sort of like we're crashing a private club iyswim.

Anyhoo, prob just my own paranoia . Today I am about to scarf down some museli after having my fibre drink and and a pint of Berocca.

Also have been for a longish (6k) run/walk. So feel ready for a Sunday lunch out.

I'd love an aga. And a lovely farmhouse kitchen to put it in

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:38

Claudia that's how i felt, like a gate crasher!

I would love one of those 4 oven agas. Drool. Drool.

Raymond will have to do me tho, DP would have a fit at the cost of fuel.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:38

I have just jad my lovely farmhouse kitchen done up, replaced aga with potbellied stove.

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:40

Oh would love one of those five, did you get it linked in to the heating??

I do occasionally wonder what people think of us when we're out and we're discussing 'did you feed raymond before you left' 'did you clean him' 'do you think he'll still be in when we get home'

ClaudiaSchiffer · 27/03/2010 22:41

Five I am . Do you live in glorious rural England too? (Dorset I assume)? I am desperately homesick for rural acres.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:42

No aga, was a very cheap and basic one but keeps the chill of the kitchen, we have a range cooker for doing all our cooking on.

Claudia, yes rural, in Dorset don't mind saying as we are very googlable but near Lulworth Cove.

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 22:43

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:57

I ate breakfast at 1.30 the other morning, still didn't stop me eating another one.
