New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Good night all. I'm very tired tonight.

jetcat · 27/03/2010 20:45

oh Jaq - am so sorry You take care x

Lizzylou · 27/03/2010 20:47

Night Mycat, I'm off to bed as well.
Be good.

DreamsInBinary · 27/03/2010 20:58

Supper just arrived, DEM, will write in a bit.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 21:01

Jaq - I am so sorry to hear your news. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 27/03/2010 21:09

Good morning everyone.

Jac I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa.

A quick q for the regulars . . . are you ok about having all us newbies on board or is it all a bit wierd?

DidEinsteinsMum · 27/03/2010 21:10

Thanks DIB - will get it posted. got distracted on chat. Was good to catch up there though.

DidEinsteinsMum · 27/03/2010 21:27

tbh claudia i am here so little normally that i have no idea who anyone is that joined over the last 5 or 6 threads. It is only a rare moment of having to be kind to myself that allows me to be here.

Some stuff i discuss is because i know some very well off board and is not something that i would discuss here but need resolving. You know the sort of stuff you'd catch up with really good mates but wouldnt want the whole world knowing.

My life is a mess and i need a bit of help so having a bit of an off board SOS rescue moment.

Jaquelinehyde · 27/03/2010 21:34

Hi Claudia

I'm a regular although you probably wouldn't know it as I haven't been on a lot lately due to personal issues.

So yes I do find lots of newbies overwhelming, all the regulars know pretty much everything there is to know about me, so I will speak to them elsewhere about stuff because a, I don't want anyone else knowing everything and b, it would confuse and bore then hell out of all you newbies as you wouldn't have a clue what I was chunttering on about.

Jaquelinehyde · 27/03/2010 21:36

I'm also just getting fatter and that's not the idea of a diet thread I'm sure

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 27/03/2010 21:39

Well, I'm a newbie, feel free to chunter off thread, I'm happy that you let us come along for the ride.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 21:41

I think that we have a deluge of newbies at the beginning of each therad that the regulars get a bit lost IYSWIM. A few stay and most go so become regular, post alot.

ToccataAndFudge · 27/03/2010 21:44

FiveGoMad - I had to read your last sentence about 10 times before I could work out what you meant

weegiemum · 27/03/2010 21:47

Am necking Prawn Crackers form the CHinese Takeaway ... oops!!

I'm going on holiday with no internet from Friday so am worried that, as a Newbie, I will become a Nobody once again .....

ToccataAndFudge · 27/03/2010 21:47

actually I must be a newbie because I haven't got a farking clue what FB thing you're on about

weegiemum · 27/03/2010 21:49

(must be OK as am T&F's FB friend, and I survived the cull!)

TotalChaos · 27/03/2010 21:49

as a newbie (to the thread, not MN!) I agree with Bitter. this FB group thing - it's an extention of private e-mails really.

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 21:50

Whoever mentioned food focus earlier - thank you. Am rapidly becoming obssessed but in a good way.

DH out on a boys night tonight so I would normally have popped to the shop and bought a tube of pringles and large bar of chocolate but I have not done so as I would be embarrassed to enter it up in my food diary. Despite the fact that nobody else sees it

'Tis funny how these things work!

ToccataAndFudge · 27/03/2010 21:52

Shineon deleted me on FB the other week [sob] - she did say I could add her again but I can't find her!

Fleecy · 27/03/2010 21:55

Well I have been on MN for over three years but I only have two MN friends on FB - I wouldn't know where to find anyone for starters!

DreamsInBinary · 27/03/2010 22:00

Exactly the same as me and WW online, Fleecy. Had a bit of a wobble today, but it's rather like having to 'confess' every evening, which makes me think twice.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:02

I lve WW online, reallty makes me concentrate on what I shove in my mouth,

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 27/03/2010 22:08

Ilove the foodfocus thing, although mine is not entirely accurate as I entered the ingredients to my veggy balti to work out the calories today (125!) rather than the paella I actually cooked. But I did have a spare 800 cals left so I'm sure I didn't go over!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/03/2010 22:09

now that is cheating.

DidEinsteinsMum · 27/03/2010 22:12

Diet wise i am slipping again.
Food intak today - six bakewall tart thingies, and half a tin of chicken soup with a packet of microwave rice.

Not exactly nutrionally great but very lazy food.
