New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Morning all! Sorry you sound so down DEM, is it the PGCE you are doing? Have you chatted on here to LewisFan on here about it - as she had some problems with one of her placements on the PGSE and had to redo one.

welcome and congratulations aga!

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 07:40

Awhh thanks guys for the welcome

Mitsubishi preg this time is going really well even though i'm ancient 40 plus. I think having a supportive DP who pulls his weight is part of the reason lol

enjoy your breakfasts all. Trying to convince self to go and pick off chicken do do pie and soup with carcass.

Oh and to hijack and post this here but am i being unreasonable to ask dd who is 12, to do her own ironing?? Not all, just one or 2 things? reason is i'm preggers - due july - and have a very bad shoulder with 3 out of 4 rotator cuffs torn because of xh horse related injury. DP usually does ironing but he's away and there's this pair of jeans she has to have for today, and I suggested she iron them herself. Cue much eye rolling and no one else has to do that etc etc.....

MitsubishiWarrioress · 27/03/2010 07:55

Have a good day shiney

agas... no not unreasonable at all. I am sure another posters DS does some ironing and he is about that age.

BelfastBloke · 27/03/2010 08:09

Morning Shineon,

Sorry I didn't get back to you the other day. How are you? I've missed you.

Haven't read the thread much - just picked up bits and pieces? Could you or one of your acolytes summarise your latest moves for me? Who's the boner guy that you were contemplating dating?

Am I sounding too gossipy? This is the place for that, right?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 27/03/2010 08:15

agas not unreasonable at all. You look after yourself. Being preg is HARD let alone having being preg with knackered shoulder.

agasarecool · 27/03/2010 08:27

Claudia OMG a celeb!!! lol

Thank you, honestly give me boys any day. The eye rolling, disgusted face, door slamming of girls is beyond me at the moment. Thing is, as soon as DP comes home, she will flutter eyelashes, pout and he will do anything she wants. Honestly. But I'm lucky, he's a good bloke really. Just very soft with the kids. He's a total pushover.

And to give her her due, she has 2 ponies and we have a dog and she looks after them all by herself, most of the time.

Gossipy threads like this are great, I lurked on MN for ages before I got the nerve to post.

Isn't it a lovely sunny day? Well, it is here anyway.

Chicken is picked, stock is on for healthy soup, kids have had breakfast.

Alicetheinvisible · 27/03/2010 08:39

TheLadyEvenstar · 27/03/2010 08:45

Morning Ladies, how are you all?
I am struggling with the thought of breakfast this morning, i over did it on a night out last night and feel queasy...keep looking over at all the cereals and thats as far as I have got lol

jetcat · 27/03/2010 08:51

morning all

aga - hi and i can truly empathise, i have a very hormonal 13 year old and am well versed in the eye rolling/door slamming hell

DEM - good luck for monday, it might not be as bad as you think, will keep my fingers crossed and try not to worry all weekend (i know, easier said than done)

my plans for today - doing a little bit shopping and then housework - oh i lead such an exciting life

Lizzylou · 27/03/2010 08:55

Ugh, 2 for 1 cocktails in restaurant last night.
Had a lot of Kir Royales.....
Lovely night though, chatting with lovely ladies, bit of dancing, nice food, fab.

DH is off with car to get some estimates, he reckons there is a lot of damage and it will cost way more than our excess, bugger.

In work and knackered......

Lizzylou · 27/03/2010 10:39

Just having a red bull and some nurofen, hows the tooth pain Bella?

I am too old for drinking and dancing, esp on a Friday night when I have to be in work the next day.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 27/03/2010 10:51

for Bella xx

bellavita · 27/03/2010 10:54

Mitts you are lovely - thank you x

Poor Lizzy. Tooth a bit better but I have probably taken more pain killers than I should but it seems to be dulling it! I have guests this afternoon so I had better get to it

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 27/03/2010 11:12

Morning all! Lot's of dismembered limbs and gore made me feel much better last night.

I must eat Breakfast.
I must eat Breakfast.
I must eat Breakfast.

Forgot again this morning. Does a cup of tea and a cigarette count? Think I may make some soup for lunch.

Alicetheinvisible · 27/03/2010 11:17

I have just eaten lots of sweeties

Wordsonascreen · 27/03/2010 12:36

I've just had a fried egg sandwich

(wholemeal fried in frylight so achewally its not that bad)

Am sticking grimly with Lord Whatsisface Focus and have already calculated what I can eat.

Am getting a bit obsessive.

Hope all the hangovers are ok (and I know you don't know me from Adam but sorry to hear your news Bitter)

DidEinsteinsMum · 27/03/2010 12:47

Morning.

Sorry BB would love toh help by summarising shiney's lastest escapades but and hideously out of sinq with what is going on at the mo.

I am preping for monday like i had to when it was ofsted. head of sen was going to see if she could be behaviour support. I have just had 13 hours sleep. So feeling a little more in perspective.
On the other hand am properally poorly. Nasty cough, temp and shivers and no idea what sort of voice i have but my thoat is killing.

Alice it is allowed. most sweet contain fruit extracts. its one of you five a day s

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 27/03/2010 12:56

You better have one of these too.

DidEinsteinsMum · 27/03/2010 13:08

Thankyou. Am still tucked up in bed. fingerless gloves on and snuggled in duvet and dressing gown. Just researching resources for waves. Longitudinal vs transverse. Also found out that 2 students giving me grief on friday are not in my class on Monday - catchup else where but I have the delights of another young lady back. It shall be an interesting day. Its a shame as these kids are really quite good kids they just have a ton of baggage and need the stability of not having a student teacher. not sure why they chose to give me this group but i feel sorry for the kids tbh - even though it is likely to be at their hands that i fail!

TrillianAstra · 27/03/2010 15:13

Mmm, hangover chicken for lunch - chicken and mushroom in half-fat creme fraiche on pasta.

I bought some of those jelly snakes that Shiney is always going on about and was very disappointed to see that the yellow ones are banana, not lemon. Who wants banana in a jelly sweet?

BoF did DD1 make it?

DEM I'm afraid a pint of beer has 180-200 calories, far less than anything I would eat for Sunday dinner, unless you're taking the dieting very very seriously?
