New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

OP posts:
MitsubishiWarrioress · 26/03/2010 15:54

Are you near a matalan Jet?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 26/03/2010 16:00

Hi everyone, sorry not been around much today. I've been over to Toccata's to do some cleaning, then got the very sad news that MIL died last night. (sad)

I didn't manage breakfat Have had a ham sandwich and a packet of walkers cheese and onion. Not doing to well today...

weegiemum · 26/03/2010 16:00

If I can afford it I've always tried to have at least one smart outfit that fits really well even if I am still losing weight, so that I can look in the mirror and not be ashamed!

Just now I thought that the one I showed here would be nice and then I could wear the floaty bit over my swimmy in the summer when I am thinner less fat and need a bit of covering up by the pool on holiday! It wouldn't matter if it was a bit big then, would it?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 26/03/2010 16:01

That should have read Breakfast, although maybe my typo is more accurate...

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 16:01

Bitter - hello sorry to hear about mil

Weegie - fab idea

weegiemum · 26/03/2010 16:01

Bitterandtwisted - sorry to hear about MIL. Was it an expected death (not that that makes a lot of difference to the shock and hurt when it finally happens).

Don't worry about food today, just get yourself through.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 26/03/2010 16:16

BitterandTwisted... I am really sorry about your MiL... I would agree that food isn't a major worry right now.. take care xx

I have now been up since 4.00am working apart from getting DD to school and two short breaks and the pile still looks endless......
I have had 2 cans redbull.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/03/2010 16:27

Bitter, am so sorry to hear about MIL . Agree today is not a day to worry about food.

BitOfFun · 26/03/2010 16:29

Oh I'm sorry, Bitter

I hope you're ok.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 26/03/2010 16:32

How's it going BoF?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 16:32

Oh bummer BOF, hope you make it to Heathrow on time

Sorry about your MIL bitter

I am sat in my car on top of the hill and the sheep are not even one bit interested

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 16:34

gosh thats sounds dodgy, i mean they are not interested in my car, im not trying to do naughty things with sheep

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 16:34

They are just playing it cool Vinny

YanknCock · 26/03/2010 16:37

VT, enjoy your child free weekend! It's about time! I cannot wait to see pics of sheep admiring the car.

bella, really hope the tooth feels better soon, you poor thing.

Sazz, agree it is probably water weight gain, you'd have had to have well over 5000 calories extra to actually gain 1.5 lbs!

hells, good luck with keeping DD happy tomorrow with family stuff and all that driving.

Alice, congratulations! Boys are fabulous. sorry your sister being moany during your moment.

Lizzy, how awful. He's probably got a warning for doing similar before and wants to make it look like not his fault or summat. Arsehole. Were there any other witnesses? Call your insurance straight away and be clear about what happened. When a guy hit us when we were stationary at a petrol station, we couldn't use the people in the car (my brother and his fiance) as witnesses, so it doesn't matter if his cronies are lying--they can't be witnesses! It went all the way to court and the other guy was found at fault and had to pay, so we didn't lose no claims. It was just 'our word against his' but we won!

jet, holy crap!!! 38 weeks? Fab news on the weight, I am adding you to my list of inspirational weight losing folk!

weegie, don't worry about it, just keep posting. I only joined in November when they'd been going quite a long time and I think I'm pretty well a full fledged member now

BOF, oh no! Good luck getting DD on her flight!

Bitter, am so sorry to hear about your MIL.

That will probably be my last post for quite a while. I am leaving for London in a few hours, not back till next Friday night, and PILs have no internet access. DH can't bring his work dongle I was using over Christmas unfortunately....I am scared, I will have MN withdrawal!

Oh, I weighed in this morning and was 16st 9 (down 2.5 lbs from Monday). That's now 1st and 2lbs down from when I joined the shiney cult. Yayyyyyy!

Will take WW trackers with me and try to do it on paper as best I can, but so hard when not in your own home. This will be a big test. I will miss you all terribly, try not to have too much cock chat fun without me!

bellavita · 26/03/2010 16:40

Shiney - that top is lovely.

Hells, I could kick myself, I didn't see your post about the stuff from Boots and I have walked past the bloody shop today. The dentist would not give me any antibiotics - I did beg ask him and he said no, said it needs to settle by itself . I just keep popping the painkillers, but every time I try and eat something my top tooth bangs on the bottom one and I nearly jump through the bloody roof. Anyway, I am going to stop wailing about it now, because I am boring myself to tears never mind you lot.

Yay Alice - a boy, they are scrummylicious.

Jet - well done, that is a huuuuuuge achievement.

BoF - has DD gone yet?

bellavita · 26/03/2010 16:41

Lizzy for you. Just who do they wankers council workers think they are? Hope you get it sorted.

bellavita · 26/03/2010 16:42

Bitter - I too am sorry about your MIL.

ToccataAndFudge · 26/03/2010 16:44
  • Bitter - now I am [cross] with you......if I'd have known you hadn't eaten..............

Bitter btw everyone is absolutely lovely, and her DD is so incredibly cute

ToccataAndFudge · 26/03/2010 16:47

and she's not even fat - so her typo is TOTALLY wrong.

jetcat · 26/03/2010 16:52

bitter - sorry for your loss

mitts - i didnt think of matalan Yes we have one here. I really like this under a short sleeved top maybe - but think i may get too hot?

Not sure i am ready for this vest but i can dream.... Plus, it only goes up to size 18

vinny - i did do a double take when i read that you were trying to get the sheep interested

yank - well done on the loss - over a stone now Have a lovely time away - try not to miss us too much

BitOfFun · 26/03/2010 16:53

My mum is driving dd1 down to Heathrow (well, down to somewhere to meet her other grandparents who will take her the rest of the way)- fingers crossed they'll make it.

I am home with dd2 (got the short straw!), and have just had a stressy trip to the bank, but with a happy ending.

Lizzylou · 26/03/2010 16:56

Oh Bitter, I am so sorry about your MIL, I agree, just be kind to yourself atm.

Bella, hope your pain subsides, I can remember how awful I felt after root canal stuff, it is agony. Poor you.

I went into nearest M&S to take back some of the stuff I'd ordered and ended up buying the same top as Shiney, in black and in a burnt orange colour (the first top she bought that wasn't "booby" enough ), will wear one of them with nice silver necklace and black skinny jeans. I saw that jacket you've bought Shiney, it is lovely.

Jet, you'll need comfy jogging bottoms, good trainers, good sports bra and then a lose fitting T-shirt with perhaps a lightweight waterproof (so if you get caught in the rain it is not a total nightmare), places like Sports Direct, Soccer Direct etc always have stuff on sale. TK Maxx too. You could get jogging bottoms and T-shirt from Asda/Tescos for a few quid each.

Well done you!

Lizzylou · 26/03/2010 16:57

Oh BOF, hope DD gets there on time! Sorry, had not said before.

BitOfFun · 26/03/2010 16:57

Sounds like my formalwear, Lizzy

jetcat · 26/03/2010 17:00

i really feel for you bella - there's nothing quite like toothache

Bof - i know i must have missed this, but is dd flying to ox from london, and was flying from manchester to london? Glad you got home safely
