New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Hi All.

Jet - well done - thats an amazing loss.

Lizzy - how annoying - agree with Fleecy though. DH had an accident a few years back and they ended up examining the cars and where it happened as the girl although initially admitting liability changed her story after her dad got involved. Anyway - result was she was found liable as her story didn't stack up with the damage to the cars.

Another dreadful night with Bea - was up at 3am watching Katie Price as didn't want to disturb DH any further.

Alice - how exciting to have a little boy.

jetcat · 26/03/2010 14:10

thats good that you havent resorted to stress eating Lizzy I hope you have a lovely night out - you deserve it!

wastingaway · 26/03/2010 14:31

Just popping on while me Dad's having a snooze.

Been out for lunch and worn DS out who is now snoozing too.

Jet, that's fantastic! You're doing so well. You really inspire me.

Lizzy, bloody hell, I'd be fuming! And crying too. The knobs.

Tracey, hope you get more sleep soon. I remember those nights. Not very clearly thankfully.

Goober, I really want a grapefruit, now I've just returned from the shop!

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 14:32

Have a good night Lizzy

I am a bit cross with my sister (again) I rang all my close family after the scan (mum, dad, grandma, sister) to tell them how it went. My sister immediately started moaning about one thing or another, and i feel a bit just once i wanted her to let it be about me iyswim? My Dad is very pleased though as he always wanted a son, and we are very close. Maybe my sister feels a bit jealous? Anyway, the phonecall was about meeeeeee just this once!

wastingaway · 26/03/2010 14:36

Alice, I hope you called her a poopyhead, I would.
I'm rather excited for you. Boys are ace. Well, mine is, and I'm sure yours will be too. Obviously I haven't met every boy, but in general they're scrummy.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 26/03/2010 14:44

Oh Absolutely..... My DS does to me on a regular basis.. but he is worth his weight in apple pie and as long as he is happy in his universe I wouldn't change him for the world...

weegiemum · 26/03/2010 14:56

Looks like it has been an exciting day for people.

My excitement is much more low key, but I am pleased with myself today, for all the little things. I tutor 2 adult learners in the morning and they had remembered everything I did with them last week which was a real breakthrough. Then I meal-planned for the weekend and start of next week, got myself to Tesco on the bus and did the shopping, got a taxi home.

Its all nice healthy home-made stuff as well, that we can all eat together round the table (well apart form on Sat night when dh is at work and the kids and I will eat pizza in front of a DVD. Its build-you-own chicken burger tonight with lots of salad and yummy stuff - and nice lean chicken breasts so I'm not eating too much crap.

I'm finding it hard to keep up with the speed of the thread and how well you all seem to know each other, but its quite an exhilarating experience - bit like being on a roller coaster!!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 26/03/2010 15:09

That sound rewarding weegie.. I love days like that..

It is fast on here.... but all cracking ladies with a really diverse bunch of characters,

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 15:15

Well done Weegie, definitely a day to be proud of

Strangely had a good talk with mum just now about stuff, and it is at times like this that remind me why i made the effort to let the past go

Feeling all happy and fluffy and everything is good with the world thoughts.

(well, if they are good enough for ballet dancers....

BitOfFun · 26/03/2010 15:16

Just popping in briefly for now- Alice, I knew it was a boy, wish I'd put a fiver on it now

Dd1's flight is delayed . Mad dash in car to Heathrow about to ensue

Knew I couldn't trust the cocking fuckers BA.

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 15:20

Have fun on your roadtrip!

Just got back from shopping what do you all think of this top and this cardy got the cardy in same colour as top.

weegiemum · 26/03/2010 15:29

I was thinking about buying this top for a night out I have coming up. It matches my eyes and I like the overall floatiness!

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 15:31

Real purty

I keep seeing things i would like but seems pointless. I am slightly deluded in thinking that once baby is here i will lose all baby weight and look like a goddess

MitsubishiWarrioress · 26/03/2010 15:31

Oh I do like the floaty layers at the moment.. Very nice LE, for a special event or just because you are 'worth it' ?

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/03/2010 15:32

Teamed up with a pair of these but instead of a corsage they have a bow on the front, and black skinny jeans.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/03/2010 15:34

Mitsi, tbh I am just having a rare night out with a few of the "girls" (far too old to say that really lol) and because I have lost 3lb this week I thought I would treat myself lol.

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 15:34

If anyone has any good ideas of things to do with a 7 yr old please can you look here thanks very much

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/03/2010 15:36

Weegie thats a lovely top!!

jetcat · 26/03/2010 15:44

weegie and lady - all lovely clothes I am a bit like Alice - keep thinking it is pointless buying lots of lovely clothes when i dont know how long they will fit for.

Bof - safe driving

right. big decision made. I have decided to start running actually outside and not round the sitting room

Now, my fave spot is about a 10min bus ride away. No way can i run there, so will have to get a bus. So, for you fashionistas among you, i will need running gear that doesnt look too much like running gear IYSWIM, as i will feel really embarrassed getting on the bus in full on running gear. Bottoms are not so bad, as can just wear normal tracksuit bottoms, but i need something for the top half. I was thinking of a t shirt and a jacket of somesort, so i can take the jacket off if needed (and tie round waist)

As you can see, i do like to plan things out and i think i may be able to find the money for this the week after next, so all help and ideas would be greatfully received. Oh, and low cost would be fab Prob about size 20-22 (more like 22 as i like it baggy)

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 15:54

Sports bra!!!!

Yoga style tracksuit bottoms (very cheap in Primark, Peacocks etc) Long sleeved t-shirt with proper vest underneath?(not strappy)

Comfy shoes

Perhaps you could bus there and run back eventually
