New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Morning!

Yay Vinny!

Good luck Jet. Going for the passport photo is a great step forward.

Mitts, hope you get some rest (or play) this weekend.

MYcat, you are blinding me with your serene glow!

Poor Bella. Hope you get some relief from the pain today.

Claudia, are you exactly 12 hours different?

I have a big project on today. The cupboard in my bedroom that is filled with craft books and materials is rank with mildew and mould. But! I'm going to rescue it, with Dad's help. I'm shifting the craft stuff out of it anyway, as I want to be able to access it easier, and put suitcases in etc. So we've got to get it emptied, washed down and painted with anti-mould paint.
Hopefully I won't have to chuck too much of the craft stuff.

I've had pancakes, as we've no cereal or bread today.

I'm going to get the Wii Fit out and get weighed in a mo.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 26/03/2010 09:26

Nearly dinner time here, am having home made (low fat/low cal blah blah) pizza, with FIGS. Could be awful.

Have just taken the dog for a lovely walk. 45 mins peace in a frantic day.

I am of your child free weekend vinegartits, fingers crossed all goes well.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 26/03/2010 09:27

Wastingaway, I think the time diff is currently 10 1/2 hrs difference, but will all change after clocks go forwards/back.

Basically it sucks.

Wordsonascreen · 26/03/2010 09:32

Morning all
Am hoping as you've got a few newbies you wouldn't mind one more.

Have just joined food focus and am aiming to be 10 stone 3lb by July 30th.

Thats the date we emigrate.

And I will be dammed if I'm going to be a porker then (its a Muslim country so they'd probably not allow me in)

1138 calories a day till then [gulp] or on second thoughts [not gulp]

I'm back, all is still serene .

I have decided today is a bin liner day. I am going round the house with an empty bin liner and throwing out anything that looks vaguely broken or unplayed with (DH had better watch out ). I am sick of living in a pile of crap. I am sure it will help maintain my calmness of mind .

Sazz, could be just fluid. After the races last week the scales said I had put on 10lb. 1 week later it says I have lost 10lb. I'm not complaining of course, but I cannot believe that I have lost that much in one week. Having said that, if I manage another 10lb this week I am patenting the eat bugger all, drink booze, walk loads diet, I think it'll go down a storm.

Rollergirl1 · 26/03/2010 09:55

Morning all. Tis a lovely day where I am, lovely and sunny and quite warm.

Have had a banana do far but have ante-natal coffee morning to go to in a bit where there will be all manor of lovely goodies so think my healthy eating will go out the window!

Vinny: What do you have planned with your child-free weekend? Lots of ridiculously self-indulgent things I hope!

MyCatIsABastard · 26/03/2010 09:56

and hello wordsonascreen. Sazz does food focus and has lost over 50lb on it so it definitely works.

Wordsonascreen · 26/03/2010 09:57

Sazzles my weight can go up and down by about 5lb in a day.I'm sure you'll sweat it off in the gym.

Am hungry

Fruit and fibre for breakfast(30g what a crap size portion that is) with skim milk and a coffee

Am very hungry

Am waiting till 10.30 for my snack

[drums fingers]

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 09:57

I am off the the Lakes for the weekend to do lots of walking, and spend some time with me

Just hope ds2 stays put

Hello Jaq! welcome back, good to see you

Hello words, welcome, where are you emigrating too?

Wordsonascreen · 26/03/2010 09:59

ooo and thanks for the welcome bastard (heh heh)

Rollergirl1 · 26/03/2010 10:00

Sazzles: Ref weight, my scales tell me regularly that I have put on or lost 4 or 5 lb in the course of a day. Especially if I haven't eaten much the evening before. I used to obsess heavily about my weight and would weigh myself every morning. Trying not to do that now.

Cat: I did that a few weeks ago. I emptied out all the toy-boxes and got rid of the tat that comes free with magazines and all the broken and incomplete stuff. Trouble is when you have a clear out it unearths things the kids haven't played with for months and they all of a sudden form a firm attachment to again!

Wordsonascreen · 26/03/2010 10:01

oo sorry am x posting everywhere.

Off to Dubai.

Will be living in swimsuits [v scary thought..probably for everyone]

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 10:01

MayCat, i said to my mum yesterday, i am going to drive to the top of the hill that overlooks the mountains and the sea, and sit in my mini all weekend, and inhale the view, the quietness and the me time

So looking forward to suiting myself

Bof hoep your dd has a smooth flight, i feel nervous for her! but im sure she will be fine, will be an adventure for her

Wordsonascreen · 26/03/2010 10:02

Am also decluttering/decimating toys
I have to pack up the whole house and I'm not hoiking crap 3000 miles.

Rollergirl1 · 26/03/2010 10:03

Words: Welcom. Wow, Dubai. You lucky thing! Are you going to fully immerse yourself in the ex-pat lifestyle?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 10:05

Is it a permanat move then Words?

We have half our company in KSA, and one of my female collegues is flying out there today for the first time, the things she has told me she has to do is she cant go around without an excort, she has to be covered from head to toe at all times, she had to have medicals to prove she is 'clean', it sounds really scary, i know Dubai is different though

Rollergirl1 · 26/03/2010 10:07

Words: Are you selling your house here? Will be a big move.

Vinny: Sounds divine. I am immensely envious!

Wordsonascreen · 26/03/2010 10:11

Probably about 3 years (thats how long dh's company pay for the schools

I can't drive (have failed in spectacular fashion on my last test nearly causing a 3 car pile up) so will have a driver out there [eek] so yep I reckon the full ex pat (am having big moral arguments with myself but TBH I reckon the lifestyle will sway me big time [shallow hypocrite]

Vinegar I have heard about SA it scares me a little.

hellsbelles · 26/03/2010 10:11

morning all.

Alice is it the scan today? I reckon ....girl.

Yank - I love it when you do your to do lists - and then actually do the items on them (i'm good at the lists just not the doing!)

Inspired by Sazz & Lizzy I've been trying to become the sort of person that moves more! So have walked everywhere instead of bus. And already I'm feeling a little better (and very noble).

Shiney - I can't cut and paste for some reason but it's worth checking out www.asos.com as they deliver quickly and have some nice drape type tops.

Trills - any sign of the dress?

Blast - have to go do stuff. DS finishes school at midday today. Crappola. So manic day ahead as he is a ball of energy right now.

And we have a big family event t/m (my grandmother's 96th!) which involved planning of military proportions to avoid disaster (basically trying to keep DD as chirpy as possible to avoid offending all the residents at the old peoples home)...plus 5 hours of driving in one day.

Back at lunch time (I will sit down DS with horrible histories which is his all time favourite TV programme!)

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 10:11

Morning

I have had a read through but can't seem to concentrate on anything at the moment, so sorry if i have got anything wrong

Sazzles - you are just letting everyone else catch up a little, thats all

Jet - good luck with the passport photos. I am so unphotogenic that it doesn't matter what i look like, the photo will show some ugly old trollop

Scan is at 11.40am. I am nervous. I am getting so worried about how DD will react to us having a new baby. What if she hates us because of it?

hellsbelles · 26/03/2010 10:12

bella meant to say - sorry you are suffering still. Boots used to do a pain killer called 'dental pain' - might be worth seeing if they still do it. I seem to recall it helped me when I had the dreaded root canal.

bellavita · 26/03/2010 10:25

Vinny - you just want to show your car off to the Lakes... - have a fabulous you time. You deserve it.

Hello newbies

I have got my parents and brother and SIL coming tomorrow for something to eat and parents staying over, so I will probably mn from my bed late on.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 10:30

Yes Bella, there are a couple of sheep on hill where i usually park to take in the view, i am desperate to show my car off to them

Hows the tooth ache?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 26/03/2010 10:31

I have my camera, so might take some pics of the sheep admiring my car, i will put them on my profile, that will be my mission for the weekend
