Yeeeehaaaaaaaaaaa! Lost a pound and a half (Having done no exercise since Tuesday ) I'm now 10 and a half stone and have 2 months to lose the half!

Avi, the estate agent is being paid to work for you. Do you have the CAB on Avi island? I wonder if they can tell you if there are any legal options about getting some of your fees back at least? If you have information from CAB or a solicitor you could at least write the est agent a letter and tell them you think it's dodgy and they should behave.

OMG Fran, that must be the standing order to california. I had no idea how it happened Did you go?

he says "i'll be running this first week's programme alongside of you"
well i never saw the bastard once
i reckon the rain put him off

ds1 got the wobbles about me going out and has only just gone to sleep! i don't know how he does it, i was in his bed cuddling him and i was really having to fight to stay awake
he got up about an hour earlier than me as well

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 22:03

oh and avi maybe an external shower would help
i don't know what mr rawb looks like
do you know, pink?
i don't fancy him, he is just funny
he says "stay loose" and "i am a 43 year old californian guy" and some other stuff that i can't really hear because i am huffing and shambling

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 30/03/2010 07:33

Good morning

I am 10 stone 8, which means I have lost 5 lbs!!

I would be more pleased about this if I wasn't going to Herefordshire on Friday for ten days. I usually put on quite a few pounds there because the food is so delicious.

I am not sure if I want to deny myself everything because the food is part of that holiday for us. Welcome hamper, lovely delis, loads of nice restaurants, home cooked meals rounded off with crumbles and clotted cream or pavlovas by from the owner. Not to mention warm welsh cakes and tea in bed in the morning. Simnel cake. And the wine, and the perry..

Hmm - not sure what to resolve before I go but I need to resolve something. Do you think I should take scales with me to keep an eye on it. That feels a bit joyless, but then I will feel pretty lacking in joy if I undo all my hard work. I guess the timing is bad.

Oh god, and that is without easter eggs

hmm guad
i think have one indulgent (non healthy type) meal per day and the rest of the time enjoy eating healthy but luxurious stuff
you know, really good fruit and fresh veg and so on
and do bracing walks - maybe go for a run?

i was wondering about a plan for this weekend myself
i think we are having easter eggs but i will just have a bit every day
[dubious]
well i have got chocolate and things here anyway, and i just have a bit each day
well usually just a bit

i am going to go for 'luxurious but healthy' food over the weekend and have one indulgent thing per day
waitrose cupcakes are featuring highly in my plans
then next weekend is ds1's birthday! he is 7, wow

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 30/03/2010 08:46

oh and 5 lb is a lot guad! did you have an arm removed on the sly?

avi how is move going? are you packed?

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 30/03/2010 10:45

Maybe it was the haircut, all half an inch of it.

I lost quite a bit the first week of WW last time, six pounds then I think. Then it tailed off.

You are right, one nice luxurious meal a day and be careful the rest of the time. I still have not had a drink either. I am quite enjoying it.

I have railings! They are old victorian ones that have been restored and a gate. And soon there will be some stained glass in the front door and grass and bushes and everything. The front still looks like a squat atm as we ran out of money.

Now we have finished we can move again! Well, dh wants to, I don't.

Avi - Good luck with your house stuff. It is very stressful I know.

CoupleofKooks · 30/03/2010 13:39

ooh railings

ooooh
i bet they are really straight and pointy
ok i give up, i am crap about housey things
why does dh want to move? stained glass is lovely, i could be interested in that. what picture / pattern will it be?

now you pretend to be interested in my bird news
the swans are nesting, hooray! they didn't for a few years after they lost their cygnets
she's out there sitting on a massive pile of sticks
and the heron was out too

littlerach · 30/03/2010 16:21

Fran, coleslaw was homemade from Asda a couple of weeks ago. It was realy nice. WE got through 3 tubs in a weekend.

Guad, that is v good weight loss.
I would go fo rsmall portions rather than npot having something.

Muesli

crappy slim a soup
slice bread and butter
2 bananans
grapes
pear

hald hot cross bun and butter
See, resisited the other half!

Planning rice and sausage (quorn!) casserole for dinner.

Swans sound brill, Fran

WE had a teeny brid in oneof our nest boxes 2 weeks ago. Not sure if it nesting there or just being nosy really.

WE soemtimes have a heron go past our loft rooms and it is quite eerie.

We have a newt and some frog spawn in th epond. I don't think I really like frogs as they leap around too much for me.

elliemental · 30/03/2010 16:45

porridge
apple
satsuma
pear
veg soup
2 slices of bread

1 wobbly pancake

and an entire bag of jelly snakes

Please may I ask you a question. Those of you who have met me. Am I very annoying?
I got shushed today by another woman at work. I am 40 years old next month and I got SHUSHED. I was talking in what I thought was my normal voice.

Guadalupe · 30/03/2010 17:06

fgs - Was there a reason she needed silence or something? Your voice is perfectly normal. Ask her what her problem is as you didn't realise there was a sign up saying no talking in the workplace.

Is she a superior?

God that would annoy me.

Franny - lolol, they really are very nice railings! But I can see they might be dull to some. The stained glass will be simple in the front door using some antique blue roundalls [sp?] that we found and a nice chequered pattern of pink and green. The lady is also restoring an old stained glass panel we have with painted birds in the middle to go in the section above our batroom door. See, I said birds then. That should be interesting to you.

I am very pleased about your swans. We saw two on Sunday. They were quite grumpy with the ducks, it picked one up by its wing which wasn't nice to watch.

I have been out all day largely unsuccessful in my mission and now I am hungry and don't know what to have. Might have to be spaghetti.

elliemental · 30/03/2010 17:30

no, just superior ...

I did a dreadful sorta : ''I kicked Bishop Brennan Up the Arse!'' delayed reaction thing 2 hours later in a tea shop and splurted chamomile tea everywhere. She did that ''calm down'' gesture with her hands too.
I am plannning a suitably mature response tomorrow spitting in her tea--.

Guadalupe · 30/03/2010 18:14

lol - give her some of matron's no 57 in her tea instead

CoupleofKooks · 30/03/2010 18:15

how extraordinary em
hopefully she is now at home going "omg i shushed her. omg what was i doing?"

guad i bet the railings are beauteous
the stained glass sounds v nice, i always covet stained glass but of course in our house it would look ridiculous

dses just had friends round and ds2 was VERY annoyed that his friend wanted to touch ds2's things
at one point friend's mum picked up one of ds2's books and he SCREAMED and threw himself on the floor shouting "MYYY BISSY DAYYYYY" (the book is called 'my busy day')
it was a bit wearing
but i didn't eat any of the biscuits, although i had some sneaky chocolate in the larder, and nibbled ends of pizza while washing up

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 30/03/2010 18:28

You could have some of those nice hanging things in the window. They look nice whatever the style of the house I think.

I have had spaghetti now with smoked salmon and asparagus and cream cheese sauce with spinach.

For lunch I had a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese so basicly the same thing in a different form. Nothing like a bit of variation.

I am out of 'good' meal ideas.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 30/03/2010 18:37

Just a quickie as I've got to put ds to bed, cook and eat my tea, and be out of the house at 7.45.

granola with blusberries and banana
rocket salad with hummus, sweet pot falafel, cucumber and tomatoes.
carrot cake - homemade so must be good for you
strawberries
lasagne (again homemade!) with huge rocket salad.

Have defo eaten 10 portions but have done sweet fa exercise.

DS also gets a bit territorial when people are in our house. He doesn't mind about his toys being played with but he hates people in his space. Although he tends to warm up a bit when they've been here a while - and normally about 5 minutes before they go

just had a wee blub.
It's all part of my mid-life crisis I expect. Either that or a toxic combination of hadron Collider, thunderstorms AND a full moon
I hate my job at the moment anyway.
I want to just go and work in a tea shop. With no responsibilities. or walking on eggshells.
And be able to have a gossip and belly laugh ocassionally.

CoupleofKooks · 30/03/2010 19:43

what hanging things? [suspicious]
nobody told me about hanging things

ds2 and indeed 1 been quite challenging today
avi 4 is VERY HARD i think

i am hungry - tired kind of hungry
what shall i eat?
i want cake but there isn't any
i might have some nettle tea
there's not much in the house, i hate that empty fridge feeling
