OP posts:
elliemental · 30/03/2010 20:31

ah no, don't worry, wasn't seeking a reaction, merely outpouring on here as catharticsm . (sp?)
The blubbing was an after-shock to the shushing

Guadalupe · 30/03/2010 20:55

Sorry, Elli, didn't mean to be show offy, just the front has looked so vile for six months I am pleased it is finally getting there.

And they are modest railings really, I should have said fence.

F - you know, hangy things, ike stained glass panels than hang in your window!

elliemental · 30/03/2010 21:12

elliemental · 31/03/2010 09:58

crivens is a scottish thing. Used to read it in The Broons when i was a nipper.
But recently I came across it in one of my favourite Terry Pratchett books and I love it!

eek at van-lackage. Have you not got a privtae helicopter you can use?

porridge and a pear.
There is mushroom soup for lunch.
And I am also struggling with the array of Easter comestibles available at the moment.
How bad, exactly are hot x buns?

TigerFeet · 31/03/2010 10:45

crivens - love it - i will endeavour to use it at leat twice today
i say crikey a lot, it's my toned down version of fucking hell that i try to remember to use in front of dc's

dd2 trying to help me type, she loves mn too

when i worked in a micro lab i used to test quorn, it atarts out as a sort of mushroomy oniony slugde which i think is then extruded like pasta into the correct shape

i quite like it but dh will not countenance it

i am still not losing weight, but am making positive food choices in an attempt to pick up my tired and slightly black mood - porridge and fruit for breakfast for instance and also attempt #6835 to stop drinking diet coke

hot cross buns are ^fine& ellie, there is fruit in them after all. it's the half inch slab of butter you need to top them with that's the problem imvho.

fruity kisses xx

CoupleofKooks · 31/03/2010 17:52

sorry dp, was working on puter this morning then i was working

ellie hot cross buns are fine but agree slabs of butter are a problem

tiger, i wish i could say that will put me off it! i will have to just substitute something else when i list now, as i'll be too embarrassed
when i say "goji berries", i mean "quorn", ok

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 31/03/2010 17:53

my comma went wayward there
i wasn't trying to say ellie was my dp

avi is it near enough you could do it in a wheelbarrow? i know avi island is only a few yards square, plus you don't own anything except shiny floors and some nature posters from the guardian

Crivens??

I had the most delicious lunch today at my friends. Roasted butternut squash and feta salad and I don't know what she did but the squash was so deliciously caramelised and sticky with the crumbly feta and watercress and toasted pine nuts polished off with a warm pitta that I ate the lot.

LOADSA points, no doubt, though I can't exactly work it out. She says she didn't put much oil in for my benefit but I don't think things caramelise quite so beautifully without oil.

Pea and mint soup for dinner
Cherry tomatoes

Have picked at chocolate orange brownies that I made last night too. The key is not to make them atm I think.

elliemental · 31/03/2010 18:46

i think i newed a recipe for roasted butternut squash salad, that sounds utterly delicious!

I am cobbling together a dinner from left over new potatoes, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, and chillies

I am supposed to be dressing up as a cheshire cat at the weekend. Not a fat cat!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/03/2010 19:26

I love salads. Proper bountiful salads that is, not that shit British side salad malarky.

On a scale of 1 - 10 how bad is balsamic as a salad dressing?

granola with blueberries and a banana.
Rocket salad with hummus, roasted veg cous cous, cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes and sweet pot falafel.
Hot cross bun.
kiwi, apple and lime smoothie.
Toad in the hole with cauliflower and peas.

CoupleofKooks · 31/03/2010 19:36

ooh yum again @ everyone's food

i think balsamic is alright isn't it? it's a bit salty i think
i don't think it's bad for losing weight

guad chocolate and orange is about my favourite flavour for sweet things
brownies sound heaven

i had cereal blah
an oaty biscuit
cheese roll
strawberry cake (disappointing - i did leave some, so big up me)
veg curry with rice (korma kind so lots of almonds and coconut milk, probably not ideal but ruddy lovely)
am now hungry so having fruit loaf and butter, an apple and a chunk of cheese

was going out with robert but knee hurts
not from running i don't think, but from long walk in wellies yesterday (my feet have given me gip for years but now my knees hurt as well. i am becoming old lady with gammy knees. this is depressing)
so hot bath with a fat book with gold on the cover
junk food for the mind

"avi is it near enough you could do it in a wheelbarrow? i know avi island is only a few yards square, plus you don't own anything except shiny floors and some nature posters from the guardian" a lot at this

littlerach · 31/03/2010 19:44

Oh I don't thnk I hsould list.

We had chocolate brownies at work that someone made and it would have been rude not to have one.
Then there were the easter biscuits that a mum had made for us.

Then I had a oiece of simnel cake that dh bought for me

God, didn't realise it was that much TBH.

Plus manky slim a soup for lunch and 2 pears and a banana and some grapes.
Rice and veg gratin woth peppers, carrots and tomatoes for dinner.
Oh and 3 chocolates.

I am so crap at cutting back.

It was so cold here today. Brrr. And v v wet, but no snow.

I think balsamic is fine, there's not a lot in it i sthere?

CoupleofKooks · 31/03/2010 20:12

i am still hungry
am eating chocolate with ginger in
i want a cheese sandwich
i think i will go and have one

pink well we all know it's true
