oh it is WEIGH IN DAY

you don't have to weigh in, but if you want to, this is the day

We went to Southwold today and ds grumbled for most of it He's getting a cold so it's not his fault, but I now feel knackered after what should have been a lovely simple day. He did love throwing stones into the sea though.

Your day sounds lovely Fra. When dh and ds were playing with the stones and sand I just sat on my own, zoned out and thought of NOTHING. It was lovely.

Thanks for explaining about Avi Island Pink, cos I googled it last night (thinking it was real and all) and it came up with the Maldives, and I thought bloody hell I'm booking me a flight to Avi's

Guadalupe · 28/03/2010 20:07

We nearly went to Southwold today. Instead I started to spring clean the cupboards.

And I haven't finished. And I have eaten all manner of shite all day. Well, some good stuff but loads of sneaky mouthfuls of things. Now I feel sick, and not looking forward to weigh in quite so much!

I am a bit ashamed can't be bothered to list so I am going to bed.

Goodnight.

littlerach · 28/03/2010 20:10

Southwold.

6 chocolates .

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/03/2010 20:31

I don't mean to rub it in, but Southwold was lovely It was just the right weather for me as I detest going to the seaside in this country when it's hot.

And guess what, I didn't even have an ice-cream Although that was more to do with the fact that all that was on offer was that rank Mr Whippy. I wanted a Peter's ice-cream, yyyyyyyyuuuuuuummmmmmmmm.

Do you go to Holt Guad? What's it like?

CoupleofKooks · 28/03/2010 21:06

ooh southwold here too
i have noticed some people are a bit sniffy about southwold now it is well known and popular
i think it is some weird snobbery, i love it and would happily go there any day
the drive is a little bit far for us to just pop up there often
glad you had a lovely time lemur

guad i think you have probably had such a good week (wrt eating) that one day of shite won#t harm you
i am feeling really confident now but will probably get disappointment tomorrow on scales
however
dp said i looked slimmer (tbh he says this about once a week, if i really did look slimmer every time he said it, i would be a spinal column in a frock)
but, i can see i have lost a couple of pounds in the mirror - from guess where - my ruddy boobs
i have SMALL CHEST
i want to lose weight from MY SPARE TYRE
grr

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 28/03/2010 21:09

listing
i have slipped re: listing

cereal blah fruit blah
wild rice lentil thing from m+s - it is really salty i like it though
fruit salad m+s - gorgeous, really sharp grapes

eaten sitting on rather nippy and blustery river path, listening to a curlew

dinner: baked potato with restrained amounts cheese and butter, home made coleslaw (with red cabbage and raisins in), toasted seeds, and bean salad

no snacks
am going to have 2 satsumas and cup of redbush and go to bed
this hour going forward thing puts a spanner in the works when you have kids, doesn't it

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 09:17

morning
weigh in time chaps (for weighers although i suspect is just me and guad )

well my scales are a bit shit
i would like to say 2 lb but i think the truth is nearer 1.5
somewhere between 1 and 2, anyway
i am pleased

i want to lose another 4 lb in the next 3 weeks, so my goal for this week is another 1.5 to 2 lb

hope everyone is well and feeling FOCUS and all that

OP posts:
elliemental · 29/03/2010 10:30

hello! I bought new scales and have magically lost 5 lbs

elliemental · 29/03/2010 10:31

Ubnfortunately, I can see, using the evidence of my eyes that I still have a lardyarse with muffin tops.

who are these thread-title-thieving interlopers?

littlerach · 29/03/2010 13:28

Do you feel they have slightly misled yuo, Avi, or got it cheaper?

I love Southwold. We are going that way again in the summer

I had delicious colselsaw last week, it was a root veg one with sweet potato, parsnip, carrot and I think parsnip, really lovely.

I don't have scales.
My jeans are looser but that may be due to wearing them a lot

Guadalupe · 29/03/2010 16:39

I didn't weigh myself!

I know this is hard to believe but we all woke up ridiculously late, prob because of clock change, I got up at 8.31 and dd leaves at 8.40 and there was a playgroup easter party that I had to get biscuits in for en dd needed some special performing arts week outfit so we were all swearing and throwing clothes at each other and then I wasn't back here until 1pm.

I could do it now but I would like to do it first thing if possible thank you. We will allow for the fact that I have had an extra day

I have had a hair cut now too. I wish it would stay looking how it does just after a cut. I was the only one with an umbrella at school with a fine mist of drizzle in the air. You know how much that fluffs up your new do.

elliemental · 29/03/2010 18:17

hmmm haircut - that'll drop you a couple of pounds too

CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 18:19

i believe you guad
i went to the loo and then stood on one foot before i weighed myself

i went out in pouring rain last week and came back with extraordinary twisty ringlets
i wish i could replicate them, they were funny

avi i think it may be unethical but i don't expect they were obliged to tell you
i suppose when it came down to it you were not obliged to accept their offer
i am sure that is what they would say
sorry about it, it must leave a nasty taste in your mouth

littlerach were the root veg raw in the coleslaw? i can't imagine that, but would like to try it

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 18:20

guad is cheating

right i claim another half pound

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 18:24

cereal blah

half a fruit muffin, restrained butter
dried apricots, banana, apple

wrap with philadelphia and cucumber

cashews, apricots, apple

coleslaw, chickpeas, potatoes, toasted seeds, avocado, hummus, carrots, mange tout, cucumber, a quorn fillet thing

i am a bit about the amount of quorn we have
i know it is crap food
dp misses meat though, and we don't have meat in the house
[excuses]

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/03/2010 18:39

Evening.

The only thing I've been consuming today is peppermint tea as my cold seems to have turned into some gastric thing - which is nice! Although it did mean my jeans were loose today

What is quorn? Is dp allowed meat outside of Fra Towers?

Avi - if you are pleased with the price then I shouldn't worry about it. They obviously acted unprofessionally by putting pressure on you, but I think that happens with all sales now as there aren't as many as there were.

Oh, and I saw an actress in Southwold but I don't know her name. What a very interesting anecdote that was!

elliemental · 29/03/2010 18:39

yesterday:
egg on wholemeal toast with florah-blah not butter
apple
melon
carrot sticks
some roast pork with red cabbage, purple sprouting broc, carrots, beans,
home made apple crumble with much apple, v little crumble and low fat custard.

dh isdoing v well on the no wine front and i have joined him for solidarity.

today:
skinny porridge
banana
satsuma
baked spud with tuna and balsamic and salad.

goulash (so rtomatoes, red onion, mushrooms) for supper with no creme fraiche and rice isntead of potatoes. and broccolli.

It is ver chilly here.

elliemental · 29/03/2010 18:40

lol at southwald actresss 'anecdote'

CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 19:41

love the anecdote

quorn is this stuff they grow out of weird mushroom things, and it tastes and looks kind of like meat
they make it into sausages and chunks and market it as a health food as it is high in protein and low in fat
however i think it is highly highly processed and i really don't want to think about how they make it
obviously i don't have to eat it when dp does, but i like it too

dp eats meat out of the house
he occasionally feels a bit deprived, so buys lunch at work
i think things are also bought in town when he is out shopping, things i would rather not know about

on the whole he is happy with the arrangement though. he knows i don't feel comfortable having meat in the fridge or in our oven etc, he did know what i was like when he moved in with me many years ago...

CoupleofKooks · 29/03/2010 19:44

i am due to go out with rawb, i mean i am in my trainers and everything, and it is absofuckinglutely pissing it down
shall i go?

avi, rawb is this man:

here

he talks to you in a deep californian voice while playing trance music at you, and he makes you go running in the rain

omg i have been BRAINWASHED haven't i
what will he make me do next? pink did you have to send him all your bank details, or your virgin daughters, or something?

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/03/2010 20:36

Did you go for a run? Tis pissing down here too.

I had heard of quorn but I never knew what it was.

I am picturing Mr Fra eating a bacon roll on the sly and brushing his teeth before he gets home

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/03/2010 20:37

Oh, oh, oh. And I found out who the actress was here

I think she's what you'd call a character actress.

Those running podcasts are a really good idea.
