Fran, I get little spots around my jaw line and I reckon they are hormone related.
I have found that not squeazing or touching (sit on hands), weekly exfoliation and Ultra Bland by Lush all help, but don't eradicate.

Had saladf or lunch.
Then a teeeeeeeny piece fo cake.

Am off out for curry later (and drinks) but will avoid naan bread as effort!

CoupleofKooks · 26/03/2010 18:46

boco congrats on finger weight loss
i'm sure people will be noticing soon and complimenting you on your slim fingers

avi wow, you are moving, best of luck

rach thank you for spot advice
they are not really round my jaw but just below my mouth, sometimes just above mouth
they have come from nowhere and been here for months now

i am really full of quiche
i was too hungry when i sat down to eat and i have eaten too much
i need a ruddy minder really

Oh crap, I missed the webchat. I'll go and read it in a minute, but it's just not the same doing that ........

Maybe face masks Fra? Although I find they just draw out the impurities and give you spots anyway. Or maybe if you do the masks more often it will stop the build up of impurities?? God knows, I make my own head spin sometimes.

Blimey Avi, those house prices Where on earth do you live? Are the houses gold plated?!

Oh, and do you have a friend who will sell your stuff on Ebay for a commission? I do this every now and then, so I'm sure there are others.

Did you make the quiche Fra? I love quiche. I bought a loose bottomed fluted tin the other week so I can make my own. I wonder if I will actually get round to using it

Guadalupe · 26/03/2010 19:39

I am much better from my cold but I have toothache after my fillings. I didn't have one before. I will keep any further ailments to myself for fear of appearing like some sort of malingering hypochondriac.

Boco - What size finger have you gone down to? Are you keeping track? I am an M but my goal is to be J by the summer.

Quiche? Has to be my favourite food after toast. Groan. I could eat ten right now. I love little pies and flans and quiches and tartlets with their buttery cases and soft set fillings of wibbly egg and strong cheese.

Do you know, well of course you don't and yuo probably won't care less but I shall tell you anyway, I have not had a drink for a week. I don't know if I have ever done this apart from when pregnant. I would quite like one but I might carry on not having them because I believe I am sleeping better. Shock Horror.

Tuna and salad cream [yes for breakfast don't ask]
Raspberries

Veg Sushi
Brazil nuts x2
almonds x5

Ham
apple
2 rolos

Mussels
french stick
Broccoli

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 26/03/2010 19:55

Hurrah for a dry week Guad! DH doesn't sleep very well after a drink either.

I went to the dentist a few months ago and I think they must have put their whole body weight against my jaw as it was sore for a couple of days. I guess it was just bruising though.

As we're 'fessing up, I haven't had a soft drink for a week. I normally have about 3 cans of coke a week but I've managed to stay away from temptation. I know 3 isn't loads, but the stuff really is shite for you.

granola with blueberries and a banana
small slice of carrot cake
wholemeal pitta with hummus, rocket salad, roasted veg cous cous and cucumber sticks.
veg pizza - too many slices to admit to

Think I'll have a smoothie and some grapes later .................

Am reading the 3rd Twilight book. I am stupidly addicted to them

Guadalupe · 26/03/2010 20:04

That makes me sound as if I havean't needed Tena pads!

My herbalist thinks coke is evil.

CoupleofKooks · 26/03/2010 20:51

i made the quiche, yes
it had double cream and lots of red leicester and fried mushrooms and leeks and some vegetarian parmesan
bugger

i can feel my stomach which had retracted slightly is now sitting on my lap again when i lean forward

had no idea everyone was such pissheads

right
cereal and fruit blah

salad of leaves, chickpeas, seeds, potato
mange tout and carrots + hummus

i was impressed as i made this to take in a packed lunch not cheese sandwiches as usual

then the downhill slide
chocolate chip hot cross bun

aha i have a pattern now
both days where i have had chocolate chip hot cross bun in the afternoon it has started a landslide of sugar cravings and over eating
aha

then bad quiche moment (plus carrots, broccoli, corn)
and some more chocolate as feeling tired

bit crap really, i may throw myself off the thread
perhaps will do better over weekend when not so tired, except am working tomorrow then have sister coming on sunday

no exercise since wednesday
any advice chaps? i am failing to shine here

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 27/03/2010 10:19

Well, its probably easier to accept that you are likely to slip a bit by the weekend too. It's hard doing it all week and not relaxing it a bit by saturday.

Also, easier said than done, but if you are going to eat creamy quiche and choc chip hot cross buns then enjoy them and don't feel guilty. There's not much point in eating then AND feeling bad.

This is what I try and tell myself anyway, and its another thing my herbalist always says. Don't deny stuff, just moderation and make sure what you have you REALLY enjoy, or there's no point.

That is probably no help whatsoever! BUt I tried.

Speaking of herbalist - I thought I had heard of that kelp somewhere. That was obviously why! I trust him though, and he said it was just a tiny bit. It's not like I am necking a packet of it or anything.

I am a pound more than yesterday even though I stuck to my points. How annoying is that? Just shows you should only weigh once a week though I never can wait that long tbh. Will look forward to Monday instead. I am sure that french bread with the mussels bloated me anyway even though it was counted in.

CoupleofKooks · 27/03/2010 13:31

i don't mind if i eat something because i am hungry and it is a sensible amount
i am sure i eat things every day that would not be considered sensible diet foods - but if i just have eg a slice of quiche and a big plate of veg, i think that's fine
it's the overdoing the portions and eating beyond being hungry, that is annoying me
i don't feel guilty, i feel irritated with myself

thank you it was good advice and i appreciate you trying!

work was fun, although some cider drinking people were playing ball with their dog outside the hall and they managed to break a window while we were inside
thank god the children were not nearer the window, there was glass everywhere
also thank god 3 mothers were there, and they took over and sorted it all out while i took the children in another room and finished the session
thank god there was another room to take them to! it could have all been complete disaster

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/03/2010 18:39

Music group sounded fun - apart from the cider drinking incident of course.

If my eating goes pear shaped, it's in the afternoon as well. Am not sure why really. I mean I've just eaten a good filling lunch but then feel the need to binge on sweet crap. Then by 5 o'clock I feel awful and sluggish. And I know it does that to me and if I resist I actually feel better, so why the hell do I do it???!!

The past week I have (mostly) cut out the snacks and binges and I have to say that my jeans felt looser around the waist today

Keep at it Fra. It can take a while and a few backward to steps to get into the ZONE.

Where is Avi Island? Is it a joke? and a bit that I don't know.

Guadalupe · 27/03/2010 19:22

I find I want less cakey things in the afternoon when I have not eaten a carby lunch.
I don't mean NO carbs but you know, white bread and stuff, even veg sushi so must be the refined stuff for me.

I bought some of those marks prawn and veg wraps with chilli sauce, I had forgotten about them. 30 cals! Less than an apple. For six. Well, they are not enough on their own but nice with soup or something.

Bit of flapjack

Veg wraps
Turkey
apple

Bite of friends almond orange cake
Cappucino decaf - 3 bloody points I didn't think to check it was full fat milk, may as well have eaten a whole cake.

Fillet steak
asparagus
rocket salad
mushrooms
tomatoes

Marks yoghurt with raspberry compote

Prob rich tea before bed though this is becoming a habit

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/03/2010 19:31

banana, blueberries and granola
cucumber
tomatoes
grapes
guacamole - with a leetle bit of melted cheese and some nacho's.
smoothie

Not too bad a day. It could have been better but I didn't snaffle the packet of crisps that were calling me from the cupboard.

I'm just watching that Dorothy thing on tv and I sort of know one of the people on it - one of the west end stars, not the Dorothy's. I didn't realise she was so well known

CoupleofKooks · 27/03/2010 21:20

am back in zone

Lemur Avi lives on an island but it's not common MN knowledge where, so it's referred to as Avi island. She's probably fairly recognisable as the only lentil-weaver on said island so it wouldn't take much for an MNing islander to recognise her. IYSWIM

Haven't run since Tuesday. Need to go tomorrow. Hoping to lose about half a lb this week which I need to realise is ok. I want to loose 2lb a week and if it's less (cause I eat like a pig) then I get cross and think it's all pointless!!

ThePinkOne · 27/03/2010 21:34

Guad! Just saw you on playhouse thread. We're getting one I'm very excited!

CoupleofKooks · 28/03/2010 09:53

well i LIKE the podcast
he is hilarious, and the music is fine for running to (i wouldn't sit down and listen to it)
the run was easy but i presume it gets less so very quickly
i can't see myself running 5k or even 1k really, but i had a fun half hour and got out and ran a bit - even if i just did the first week indefinitely i think it is good exercise and i got a few endorphins

it's weigh in day tomorrow [dubious]
shall we have a new title or stick with this one? plenty more room on this thread, but if you are feeling inspired?

CoupleofKooks · 28/03/2010 09:54

Kooks, I was always amazed that every week I started off nearly dying by the end of the session and by the third one each week was ready to move on to the next week. Rawb is really quite special isn't he?! Music isn't my taste either but gets you through!!

Have a lovely day We're about to make easter bonnets!

littlerach · 28/03/2010 12:13
