@ not picking strawbs!! We bought plants a few years ago and had a few strawbs for I think 3 years. Had to buy more this year and have planted them out already.

Urgh, I'm hungry! Had apple, weetabix and a small piece of toast. Need more fruit! Am shopping today.

Hi - it is lovely here, baking and everyone in tshirts all day and we've just finished a bbq lookin at the mountains with some wine and lambs sticking their noses through the fence.

Some more have been born I think, they have little black cords anyway.

I can't tell for sure of course, but ahem, my belt is a little tighter! I did well at first but there is some bloody nice food around these parts. I will assess the damage next week. Home late Monday. I have a lot of food lined up. Picnic by the waterfall tomorrow. Hom cooked lasagne and trifle by the owner tomorrow night, lunch at the bell sunday and lunch at Baileys store on the way home monday. And there's wine, cheese and easter cake to eat up before we leave. Oops.

Have a nice weekend

CoupleofKooks · 09/04/2010 21:40

I have been cutting down for the past couple of days after seeing a friend who has lost weight and realising how fat I am round the middle.

weetabix, milk, orange juice, dried apricots
3 cream crackers with a bit of brie (no butter)
vegetable curry (cauliflower, chick peas, baby sweetcorn, mange tout) with rice

just ha another 2 cream crackers with my wine cause I am peckish.

CoupleofKooks · 09/04/2010 21:51

mmm cream crackers

OP posts:
pointydog · 09/04/2010 21:54

I am very into jacob's crackers and was checking out the info in sains the other day. They compare very well with the 'diet' crackers I found. Good news.

CoupleofKooks · 09/04/2010 22:36

wtf is a diet cracker? a cracker is just a cracker surely? they haven't got ruddy anything in them

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 10/04/2010 13:17

A diet cracker is probably a packet of fresh air

Is it ds1 birthday today Fra? If so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!

F&v intake has been shocking, however lack on food intake is going well as we've been visitors to A&E with ds.

He fell down a step yesterday and hit his head. A few hours later he vomitted so off to A&E we went. Sent home. Woke up this morning, he'd been sick in his bed and then was sick later on, so off to A&E again. Rather than admit him for observation we're keeping an eagle eye on him at home (our decision). Poor little thing. He's very quiet and subdued and I imagine he's got the mother of all headaches.

So feeling slighty stressy about it and can't really eat. I really do think he'll be fine, I just need some time to get over the anxiety.

I think we'll sit out in the garden this afternoon, as it's another beautiful day here

littlerach · 10/04/2010 14:13

Oh Lemur, glad he is ok.

Isn't the weather glorious?

We have planted courgettes, tomatoes, carrots, poattoes and spring intions.

Our strawberry plants have popped back up.

We are off to a party on a farm today and het to feed lambs and piglets and chickens.
Dd2 is hoping ot hold a lamb.
this is the child who was terrified of the rabbit running round th elounge yesterday

I am desperatley trying to avoid munching theought the girls' eggs.....i ate a lindor reindeer instead and felt sick.

CoupleofKooks · 10/04/2010 16:43

lemur hope all is well
you must be feeling very shaky - it's so horrid when they've been ill or had an accident

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 10/04/2010 18:44

well ds1 has had a lovely day so far i think
so much for his healthy tea ideas though - he ended up having a cheese, mayonnaise and crisp sandwich, made by dp

instead of cake i did a pile of profiteroles and strawberries, with a sparkler on top

he wanted to make a wildlife area in the garden so we made a pond (a washing up bowl LOL) and a rockery (about 10 stones) and a woodpile (few old sticks)
we don't have much space you see so had to be minimalist

also planted carrots and sunflowers and had a very satisfying hack at next door's bushes which were all about 2 foot over our fence
then got carried away with secateurs and massacred our passion flower and the wisteria - they will grow back won't they? i left a couple of twiggy bits (i know was wrong time of year for pruning, sorry)

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 10/04/2010 18:49

cereal, greek yogurt, honey, raspberries, blueberries, grapes
white toast and marmalade (that lovely french bread that is round, not a stick)

spinach, rocket, tomatoes, mozarella, potato, egg, butter bean, toasted seed salad

banana

veg sausage sandwich
chocolate profiteroles, strawberries
2 satsumas
green and blacks

ran with podcast thingy, that was the end of wk 2 now
pink does it get really hard soon? it has been ok so far
robert sounded a bit stoned this week i think - very drawly and sort of horizontal
he also said "i'll be running alongside you this week, so I hope you'll join me"
which is a kind of mindbender isn't it?

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 10/04/2010 18:51

oh i had to buy new running trews cos the others were falling down (they were blinking MATERNITY trousers so quite right too)
however bras are now too big also
i think we should invent a machine that you point it at the bit of you where you want to lose weight from
oh yeah that is called liposuction isn't it?

i had an idea
we should arrange a meet up for when we all look fabulous
and go and stuff our faces at that posh tea place
ah well maybe that's not so appropriate

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 10/04/2010 19:29

Thanks LR and Fra

It turns out that ds has probably caught a sickness bug which just happened to coincide with a head injury. He brightened up just before his bath, so fingers crossed he'll be feeling a lot better tomorrow.

Banana
cucumber sticks, grapes, cherry tomatoes.
Veg curry and mushroom bahji.

ThePinkOne · 10/04/2010 20:17

It doesn't really get any harder cause you get better Fran! I said before - every week I thought I wouldn't be able to do it and after session 3 every week I felt ready to move on! It's a really brilliant programme.

We have a new playhouse!!!!!!!! It's wonderful I'll put some pics on fb tomorrow.

CoupleofKooks · 10/04/2010 21:08

oh god lemur i don't believe it! he kept being sick because he had a virus? what timing! oh well really good to hear the head injury is not the problem
sorry about the sickness bug but sounds like the worst is over

pink are you sure
i have been trying not to look ahead each week but i distinctly remember looking at the programme right at the beginning and there is a week coming soon where i have to run for 20 mins without stopping
i really can't see this happening, not in this lifetime anyway

OP posts:
ThePinkOne · 10/04/2010 22:10

Promise. And you can have a sticker when you do the 20 mins. Rawb doesn't give stickers

CoupleofKooks · 10/04/2010 22:19

rawb does say "take care of yourself and rest tomorrow" though
i laugh hollowly at that point

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 11/04/2010 09:12

morning
it is weigh in day tomorrow, for anyone weighing in

we are going to pizza express for lunch for another birthday, but we have pre ordered and i am having that 'light' pizza with the salad in the middle
i do actually always want a small pizza and a salad, so was chuffed when they thought of it

i am doing week 3 of the podcast this week
am scared again

have had sneak preview on scales and seem to have lost another 1 lb
i really appreciate this thread, it is helping immensely and hope it might be helping you chaps as well
i know 1 lb a week is not much but i am only exercising a bit, and still eating plenty, so i am delighted
i was hoping to have lost 6 lb by mid april - ie next week - doubt i will manage that now, but hopefully will be 5 lb in total which is great
has anyone else got specific goals?

OP posts:
pointydog · 11/04/2010 11:39

Right, that's it. I am going to lose weight. I have decided. Went for lunch with old school chums yesterday, one of them has lost 2 stone and looks incredibly different and she can wear anything she likes (tits are saggy, though, but I can live with that as my breasts are growing at an alarming rate).

I want to look visibly better in 4 weeks time when I meet with old uni chums. Be dead strict if I waver.

pointydog · 11/04/2010 11:40

I will weigh in next Monday.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/04/2010 11:59

The boy is better today. Still not really eating, but it's easy to see he's much better than yesterday. We're going to take him out for a walk in his pram later as there hasn't been any vomiting since yesterday afternoon.

After being sprayed in vomit numerous times yesterday I ran out of clean trousers to wear so I had to put on a skirt. I remembered that is was a bit snug at the end of last summer, however it is now twizzling around my waist - hurrah.

I love this thread too. It gives me FOCUS. I need FOCUS.
